Busy time of the year!!!

I havent been around much lately yet again I have been busy! I see that most people I have made friends with on here over the year or so I have been a member have also either been busy or have a busy time coming to them so Im going to join that queue of people lol .....

I havent had much time for gaming with the family needing my attention. Last saturday was my son's 2nd birthday so I spent most of the day with him! My daughters are in full time school and either need help with their homework or reading books and so on and this week I have to take the baby down to their school so they can have school photographs taken! such joy.

I have played maybe 2 games and didnt think much of them to be honest with you, I played Bloodrayne the storyline seemed to be interesting but for me that was about all that game had for me, I didnt like the camer panning, didnt like the controls and pretty much didnt like the whole game and the same goes for the Castlevania game that I had for me they were all flash no substance. Also I did give Resident evil 4 a go and well that was just a disaster I find the controls way too slow and by the time you have perfect aim on a zombie its already lynched you and your dead, so maybe i will sell that game or give it another try before i pass it on.

So now I am heavily considering going for a God of War 1 NUR god mode run because well they are the only games that I have played in a long time that has managed to keep my attention in the game for longer than 5 seconds at a time. Also I have had my new computer and now its just time and effort to get everything i want back on to the thing! So I am hoping that I will be able to get my 8,000 worth of music files back on here soon and then there is all my paint shop pro stuff that I have collected so I can then maybe get back into e-mail signature taggin once again.

Still havent had my copy of Saw IV through yet I am going to phone them yet again and complain like mad because when I did call them they said they recieved it 3 days after I had posted it 1st class recorded delivery! whats up with that ? .... Then the rep I spoke to told me that their returns department are still bogged down with the Christmas returns and he cant tell me when they will get around to dealing with my order, and asked me if I wanted a new one or a full refund, I told him that I had been anticipating that movie since I heard it was in production I would like a brand new unscratched working copy, and then he said ok no problem I will put in that order for you and you should get it within the next 28 working days.

Of course I went stark raving mental about that, because I had pre-ordered that movie on the 1st of January had to wait nearly a month before they released it over in the USA, then had to send it back and now I have to wait like another month and he said well im sorry but we have gone out of stock of that item we will get it to you as soon as we can all I can do is apologise to you. So im not too well pleased with all this, Hope everyone is alright out there and sorry that i havent commented on any blogs or spoken to you personally just I am a very busy woman these days. Hope to speak to you soon Byeeeeeeee

Saw IV has got to go!

I've been well excited since I found I can order the region 1 dvd version online, only to have it posted to me on the 17th of January well before the release date of 22nd of January. Well today it turned up on my doormat only for me to open it up and discover that the disc is scratched to hell and back.

The manufacterers who put the DVD into its dvd case hadnt put it tight into the DVD bed and it has popped out and the inners of it has scratched the disc I dont want to play it get half way through the movie only to have to switch it off because I can not wtach it due to it freezing or locking up every couple of seconds, so I have got in touch with PlayUSA.com told them about the problem.

They were ever so appologetic to me, the person I spoke to couldnt say he was sorry for the inconvenience that was caused to me with this fault on the item, and that he would send me an e-mail with returns information and I was to send it back and they would get me a new copy of Saw IV.

So all that waiting only to have my hopes dashed in 0.5 seconds flat!!! I have to send the damn thing back and wait for another one so that could take anything upto 7 to 10 days with the postal service and then their returns department dealing with the return and then them getting a new copy out to me! So I will be able to post what I think of it when I actually get a working copy!

Saw IV

The 22nd of january is fast approaching and I for one can not wait for it to arrive. I finally have something to look forward too for me for once instead of one of the kids. Saw Iv is coming out on DVD in the USA and I managed to find a site called PlayUSA.com that sells region 1 DVDs. I was originally searching Play.com that only does British DVDs. So of course I had to pre-order myself a copy as I have been waiting for this one since I watched the 3rd Movie sometime last year.

If I had waited for the British to release the DVD I would of had to wait until the 3rd of March this year, and I was surprised by the gap in release dates for the same movie. So I think I will be using more of that site now for the DVDs that I really want as I have a region free DVD player and now I can get all the top titles that i will enjoy a lot earlier than I would if I waited for the UK to release them!!!!

The world is going health food mad!

I have 2 children who are in full time education and this weeks homework was for my oldest daughter was to write out a healthy main course meal with a healthy dessert and then colour it in make it look snazy and stuff, and then my youngest daughter come home with a paper plate and we were to make a plate of healthy food for them to take in, be it cut out food from a magazine or make our own out of paper, colouring or painting them in and so on you get the idea.

Well since that british chef Jamie oliver stuck his nose into how children get fed at schools its gone way out of control. Schools over here I dont know about anywhere else but here they have taken away all the fried type foods like fries, burgers and so on and brought in things like salad and grilled food. They have stopped the children from drinking soda and eating chocolate and potato chips. Also my oldest daughter was told that she needed to take in her own bottle so she could fill it with water and drink it whenever she wanted too, before that they used to have a small bottle of milk in the mornings and a digestive biscuit.

I dont mind them bringing in the whole healthy eating but in moderation, I mean introduce them along with the fried foods and let the children pick what they want to eat because there are some children who will eat fresh fruit and vegetables and then there are the children who wont eat them simply because they dont like thme or because they have never had the chance to eat them. But I mean come on banning food in a school you have got to be joking, I live in Wales but I have heard that in England they are stopping thechildren and searching their packed lunches and taking out all the junk food, I mean come on where do they get off on telling us as parents what we can and can not feed our children ? Its getting way beyond a joke they are making children these days way too health concious and its not right they will turn into nutcases if the government are not careful

Charmed was about 3 American sisters who inherited powers from their family. They had their powers binded as children to stop them from suffering the same fate that their late mother did.

WOW I only started getting into this show around season 4, and I was blown away. The story lines in this show were amazing, they worked really well. You got to familiarise yourself with a cast that hardly ever changed. It showed a good side and bad side of magic, and what having magical powers can do to your everyday life, it affected their relationships, dreams, day to day life and more.

the storylines were very easy to follow you never lost where you were in the seasons, and you always knew what each individual character was upto, sometimes they would have follow on stories and it would tie in with previous ones and new ones that were coming out.

It was light entertainment at its best and it was a shame to see it finally come to an end last year! They should do a spin off as I firmly believe that this show didnt reach its full potential there are still a lot of things that can be done with this.

There is also a lot more storylines that they could come up with for this show, as you had Pipers sons, and if I remember correctly Phoebe got married to cupid and maybe they could have some children and carry on the Halliwell famly lne of magic. There is also the 2 sisters, and also there could be a new source and seeker.

Overall I gave this show a perfect rating as it was easy to follow with some brilliant storylines, excellent characters new and old in each episode. And it was light entertainment that will never die, it will be cherished over and over again.

Dancing On Ice

When I seen the advert that dancing on ice would be coming back I was excited beyond all belief, I couldnt wait for it to come back to our screens. This show takes celebrities of all ages and job descriptions and takes them out of their comfort zone and throws them into something challenging and different.

The line up for this season is an interesting one as there are people on there who havent been seen in a long time as they have either retired from TV, gone on to radio shows or you get to watch the most nights/days in programs you normally watch.

Torvill and Dean done a spectacular opening routing it is great to see them 2 back in the public eye performing with each other once again, along with some other famous ice dancing stars from all over the world. Its nice to see celebrity judges there also to give a little idea of what people are supposed to be looking for and enjoying in their new experience.

Although this was the first week for them, and some of them had little time to practise due to having an injury early on in the training sessions they all done pretty darn well and should be proud of themselves, no one deserved to go last week but unfortunatley someone did have to go and Sarah Greene took the plunge first. It is a little disappointing to see her leave in the first week as we will never get to see what else she can do whilst she is on the ice but its the others I am also interested in.

Chris fountain the hollyoaks actor done an excellent job in his routine with his partner Frankie, he was explosive and refreshing to dancing on ice as no one has performed as well as him on the opening night. Michael underwood the GMTV presenter also done very well in the opening night, also done a very good job to hold his professional partner up as she stumbled on her toes.

I didnt think too much to Aggie, but there again is that me being prejudice towards her because of her age ? I dont think she will perform very well, as she took a few knocks and bumps in the training sessions and suffered from the fear, I will be very surprised if she does anything challenging in weeks to come, but that doesnt mean i want her out.

Linda lucardi looked beautiful and was also good on the ice on her first performance even after she broke her ankle in training. She took the time to make a come back and do a really good job lets hope she amounts to something better in the coming weeks. Steve bakley, well im not too sure about him I mean he was a great sportsman in his day but should he really be on the ice when he has had a hip replacement ? On the whole this episode was well worth the wait and I can not wait to tune into the show which is tomorrow evening on ITV1 I will be watching it with great interest to see who is going to get further and possibly gain an advantage over the rest.
