The Things We Forget

This is not only the name of the book that I am working on (It's not a real book. I have to do a senior project to graduate so I'm putting together a book of my short stories and it looks really awesome!!) but this is also the name of my blog. No it is not the blog of some whiny girl who thinks she's all that and blah, blah, blah (yes, blah, blah, blah) But I have been posting some of my short stories that do not fit under any certain category.

By that I mean they aren't fanfic. Some of the stories are going to be "published" in my book. They are actually pretty good. Now the problem is that no one has found my blog. My cousin told me that in order to get people to notice my blog I have to find ones like mine and comment on them...but I can't find anything!! So...if anyone is interested, you know...if you have a few moments to spare go to my blog: http://madelinejacy.blogspot.com/

Here is one of my stories (It's short but get's the point across)

Bliss

Carlton groped at the small table looking for support, but all he got was more of a push. It seemed to take hours for him to fall to the ground and when he finally did hit he landed on his shoulder. A blinding pain shot through his arm then finally settled in his shoulder. He tried to lift up his head and look around the room but he was too tired to move. The alcohol in his system was not helping him in any way, but it was too late for regrets. The room was spinning and he felt his mind beginning to slip away. He wished that there was someone there to help him. Even if all they did was carry him back to his bed he'd be happy. The floor was cold and uncomfortable but the booze coursing through his body had taken away his ability to control his body. This all went back to Juliet, if she had just stayed a little but longer then he wouldn't have felt so lonely. It was this feeling of loneliness that had driven him to pick up the bottle. He was tired of being alone, and the alcohol stifled this dreadful feeling.
Carlton's eyes felt heavy and he struggled to keep them open. After a long battle he finally gave in and allowed the darkness to engulf him. When he woke up it would all come back, but for the moment he was free. As he slipped into peaceful oblivion his head stopped throbbing, his shoulder stopped hurting and his heart no longer ached.

The aftermath of prom, AP tests and skipping French class

So Prom was okay...it would have been much better if I'd had a date. Okay, are you ready for this. Here it goes, my own little whine session. My best friend decided last minute she was going, so we all went together with a big group of friends. Well, she texted the entire time. From the moment we picked her up to the moment we dropped her off she was texting her boyfriend who didn't come because she didn't want him to. And she brought a date. This would have been okay if one, I had a date, or two, all of my other friends hadn't of ditched me. But in the end I finally found someone to hang out with and I had a great time from that point on.

AP tests suck. Granted, the one I took yesterday was the only one I've ever taken, it still sucked. It was long and hard. And it was on US History. One of my worst subjects. I studied for the test, but I'm still afriad that I didn't do well.

Skipping French class was awesome. After the AP tests were done there were a few minutes left in lunch and then there were two periods left in the day. So me and two of my friends went out to lunch and came back in time for the last period of the day (because there's this guy that I really like and that is the only class I have with him). But we got everyone who had french with us to skip...so only half the class showed up. I hate that class so much, and was super glad not to have to go. And that is the first time I've ever skipped class!

On becoming a strawberry blonde...and prom

So I thought it would be really cool to gave red hair. Like Scully red, but that is not what I got. I am a natural blonde. Not too light, but not too dark, either. So when I dyed it my hair turned a strawberry blonde. not that it looks bad, or is a bad thing...it just isn't what I wanted. Oh well. Oh, and prom is on the 25th. I don't have a date either, and many people keep asking me if I plan on asking another guy. See, I asked one and he said he wasn't going. Which is okay. I just thought it might be fun to go with him. So...not only are my friends all jerks for not getting why I wanted to go with that guy, but they don't understand that I don't want just any guy to be my date. I wanted that guy. Oh well, it's too late to get a date now. I have a totally awesome dress. I can't wait to wear it!! And since it's 4 inches too long I get to wear my black converse high tops with it!!!

The X-Files
Audrey Pauley
Avg Score: 7.95    Total Ratings: 131    Total Reviews: 14
This episode begins with Monica dropping John off at his house. Of course they sit and talk for a moment before he leaves and then...Wa-Bam! Monica is in a horrible car crash and mysteriously slips into a coma and it appears as if she will never pull through. But of course John refuses to believe this and he fights for her. This episode almost has a predictable ending...but maybe not. This episode is full of angst and drama as Monica fights to tell John that she is still alive and John fights to save her because...he loves her. And Audrey Pauley helps out both of them in the emotional episode. It is so good, though. I recommend it if you are a fan of the DRR ship...or if you feel like you need to be apart of this emotional roller coaster.

Eureka

Every small town has a secret...or at least the town of Eureka does. It all begins when Jack Carter and he daughter drive through the town as they head back home. Of course one thing leads to another and the small town ends up sucking Jack into it. Like any good show there is a little twist of romance to it, and plenty of humor in it. It turns out the Eureka is a major part of the government and houses a very secret agency where all sorts of testing is done. The show can be serious when it is necessary but for the most part it is just good, light hearted, fun. I recommend it to anyone who loves anything (and everything) sci-fi, and is looking for something fun to watch. I am a huge X-Files fan, and also love most things sci-fi so, of course, I love this show. Check it out...I'm sure you'll feel the same way ;)

Shawn (and Gus) of the Dead
Avg Score: 5.51    Total Ratings: 347    Total Reviews: 8
I was very disappointed to hear that the second season of Psych was coming to an end so suddenly, but the episode they ended with was a great one! A mummy is stolen/goes missing from a museum and the detectives are called in to get to the bottom of it. Only Lassiter is not too excited about his case--he had bigger fish to fry--so Shawn is called in. Gus seems to have some sort of fear of Mummy's that make it a little harder for him to work on the case, but they manage somehow. And to twist things up the interim Chief gives her notice...but will she really leave? This episode was hilarious (like always) and leaves you wishing that the summer would get here sooner. Not just for the nice weather but for the third season of Psych. Great episode, well worth the time!!

Mick is asked to look for a missing girl, and ends up finding her dead room mate first. Beth is on the case of the dead room mate, and it appears that she was attacked by a vampire. Of course Mick is trying to avoid Beth because of things that happened in the previous episode but it seems as if they are pulled together by some invisible source. They end up working the case together, as they hunt down their vicious vampire. It was a very good episode, one that will leave you wanting more Moonlight the moment it is over.

For Gus' birthday Shawn gets him into a party where only people involved in the fashion business and then people start dying and Gus refuses to work on the case until it is no longer his birthday. This is a rather odd episode, only because it is so goofy. Carlton gets some fashion advise and so does Juliet. The prime suspect is someone who seems unlikely to commit murder...and then the tables really turn. Meanwhile Henry is trying to get dating advise out of Shawn, who does not want to hear about his father's love life. It was a special episode, it was funny and it was great. I recommend it.
