Jill does another in her series of impersonations of female artists by performing Evanescence’s “Bring Me To Life”.

Zayra follows up by ding the same song that she destroyed the night before. It was bad on Tuesday and surprisingly, it was still bad on Wednesday. Ironically they started the show by telling the contestants how important it was to pay attention to the criticism and advice of the judges. Instead of improving, Zayra responded by being just as clueless.

On the other hand, Chris showed the most improvement of the three, and was the only one of the three to have followed up on the advice given by Supernova… so they eliminated him.

I thought the over all performances were down from week one. Magni did a fine job on “My Generation”, Jenny did good on “Tainted Love” and Toby was above average with the Killers’ “Somebody Told Me”.

At the bottom end, Jill & Zayra just left me shaking my head. Jill did a C. Love impersonation that obviously required research and practice with matching the costume, and performance as well as imitating her voice. When called on it, she lied her butt off claiming she wasn’t even familiar with Courtney Love!

Zayra gave an abysmal performance, and when Gilby pointed out how clueless she was, she took the opportunity to insult the men she is trying to get a job from.

I love this bit. They get three Fung Shway "scientists" to discover the ideal layout of a woman's home. They are all different. How would that work, if it is scientific process. Penn's comments only make the entire thing more enjoyable.

And to make it better, the episode finishes with a segment on the bottled water industry. This could easily have been the whole episode. It is nice. People are tasting bottled water versus tap and can't tell the difference. They serve water from a garden hose in an expensive restaurant, and people think it's wonderful. Most bottled water is the same stuff that comes out the tap.

No one has the guts to say this stuff. P&T do a fine job of pointing out the obvious things no one will admit.

Meet Mister Mom is an interesting concept for a show. They get two families, and yank the mom out and send her away. Then the dads have to take care of everything. But they are given extra challenges like cows and pool parties and bake sales.

There is no host to this show. That is good because they don’t have to waste money on someone who really has nothing to do with the show. Also many reality shows are ruined because of idiot hosts. On the other hand, without a host, there is no continuity between episodes.

When I first saw Julie Chen on TV, I thought it was a clever use of CGI. Of course when I found out that the reason she has only a limited range of expressions and has a monotone speaking voice and everything is not because she is animated, but because she is extremely dull, I was shocked.

Off the top of my head I can think of three or four hundred people who would do a better job hosting Big Brother. There are probably at least four or five houseguests from each season that could take over the job and not only do better but increase the ratings.

Here's hoping she is replaced!
