The Hulkster has his own reality show!

So, has anyone heard about the new reality show 'Hogan Knows Best'? It's like the Osbournes, but with Hulk Hogan's family! I can't wait until it shows up on TV over here in New Zealand! They showed a clip of it on Raw, and man, does it look awesome! There's gonna be plenty of fireworks with this one!

Man, I love Batman: Return of the Joker!

Ya know, it doesn't matter how many times I see that movie, I enjoy it! Great Villains, and the whole "Is Tim Drake or Isn't Tim Drake The New Joker" thing is a good subplot. It's a good movie, and DAMN do those two evil chicks look hot out of the Clown gear! Oh, and guess who makes an appearance at the end? I won't tell you, but it's an old friend of "Mistah J's!"

Emohawk - Polymorph II

This is an awesome episode. When I found out that two of my favourite characters from Red Dwarf, Dwayne Dibley and Ace Rimmer, would be back, I just had to get the DVD for series 6. And this was the first episode I watched, and it is classic Red Dwarf.

This episode starts off with Red Dwarf's OG unit getting broken, thereby giving the Cat and Lister limited oxygen. They are forced to get a new one, but unfortunately, the crew must land in GELF territory. The GELFS are a Hostile lifeform, but they try to bargain with them anyway. Kryten talks to the GELFS, and one of them takes a shine to Lister. Lister must then get married to one of the ugly, hairy creatures. The GELFS give the Crew their OG unit, and after an uncomfortable time with his new bride, Lister sprints off with the crew, who make a run for it. Unfortunately for them, the GELFS plant an Emohawk, a smaller version of the Polymorph from a few seasons earlier.

The Emohawk tracks down the Cat and removes his cool, leaving him as the dorky Dwayne Dibley from the season 5 episode "Back to Reality", something which scares The Cat. Afterwards, it finds Rimmer, and removes his neurosis, leaving him as his parallel universe counterpart, Ace Rimmer, space hero. In order to get their emotions back, the crew must freeze the Emohawk and blast it. Eventually, they do so, with the Cat being returned to his old self, and Ace going back to being his neurotic old self.

Overall, this is an awesome episode, with two plots, pretty much. It has a lot of memorable lines, and has plenty of character development. It's also intersting to know that if Rimmer wasn't such a neurotic prat, he'd be a hero! It's an ambitious episode, and just shows why season 6 is so popular among fans. But you still can't help but feel sorry for ol' Listy as he is violated by an ugly, hairy beast!

Fight or Flee
Avg Score: 8.57    Total Ratings: 20    Total Reviews: 2
Fight or Flee is a good episode. It starts with Cyclonus and Scourge chasing the Aerialbot Skydive through space, which ends up being a trap. The two Decepticons fly through a warphole where the end up injured on the planet Paradron, a planet which according to Cyclonus, looks like Cybertron during the fabled "Golden Age." The two wind up assaulting the pacifist Autobot Paradronians, and take over the planet with the help of Galvatron and the other Decepticons. This leads Sandstorm to take off and seek help from the Autobots on Cybertron.

The two factions as usual go to war, which leads in Magnus needing to detonate the planet's energon core to stop the Decepticons from getting more powerful and destroying the universe. Sandstorm and his friends go on to join the Autobots on Cybertron, and Sandstorm teaches his people that it's alright to fight for what you believe in.

All in all, aside from the cliched Autobot Vs Decepticon battle theme, it's a good episode, which shows what happened to some of the other races of Transformers who left during the great wars on Cybertron. Sandstorm is a good character, and has more testicular fortitude than his people, and takes up arms and fights when he was to. Sandstorm only speaks in this episode, and in Starscream's Ghost, but he's still an awesome character.

1.4 Abysmal
Transformers Armada
Avg Score: 7.99    Total Ratings: 230    Total Reviews: 14
Wow, sometimes you've gotta wonder if the Japanese are trying to push the envelope a little TOO far sometimes. Armada is an example of what happens whenever that happens. And I don't care if you're one of those purists who's angry at me for grouping Armada, and it's Japanese incarnation, Micron legends together, they're the same show, and they still both suck, despite different scripts!

The story begins on Cybertron, millions of years ago (The fact that the narrator says 'lightyears' ago sets the tone for what is to become an abysmal attempt at a Transformers series full of blunders and cock-ups...) when the Minicons, a small race of Transformers crash land on Earth. In the year 2010, three annoying brats unearth the Minicon spaceship and set off a beacon, reactivating the minicons, and bringing the Autobots and Decepticons to Earth. Practically every episode has the Autobots and Decepticons making CAMEOS when fighting for the minicons, which gets really tedious. There is little to no character death, Starscream's G1 legacy gets crapped on with the wussy who takes his name in this sad excuse for a series, and Sideways is just plain obnoxious! It's a good thing Energon was far better. Fred was by far the most annoying SOB ever. He's an embarrassment to fat kids everywhere. I hate Armada, and most other Transfans like me hate it too.

Beast Wars was awesome back in the late 90's. After Transformers: Generation 2, we needed something to fill the void. We got it with Beast Wars. Back in the 1980's, there was a show called "The Transformers." It featured a bunch of transforming robots, some good, some evil, who waged war against one another from Cybertron, to Earth, and back again. The show ended in 1987 after 3 years after declining ratings. The children in the 1990's got Beast Wars as our substitute. And what a substitute. The characters were memorable, the voice acting magic and the computer rendering beautiful. There were not a lot of characters in the show, leaving a lot of toys who never made it to the show, but the characters who made it to the show were indeed memorable. Characters such as the smarmy Rattrap, the young, but courageous Cheetor, and the pain magnet, Waspinator captured the imaginations of young children of all ages in the late 90's, and reapearences by old favourites from G1 in certain episodes had fans of the original coming back themselves to watch this masterpiece of children's entertainment. There were numerous homages to the original series, despite not being delibrate during the early part of the first season. beast Wars was a brilliant show that is spoken highly of by my school peers, even to this day. Well recommended.

Everyone badmouths Energon. But it's not as bad as everyone says. While it may be mediocre compared to it's Japanese counterpart Superlink, it's a huge improvement over the terrible Armada, which was bad enough to be compared to the Star TV Dub of Headmasters, You Understand?:P It's got good characters, a good story, great voice acting (Although Matt "Ed" Hill was a bad choice for Ironhide) and cool bad guys, along with cool figures, and an awesome extra episode which is pure gold. I think the reason most people don't like Energon is because they try to compare it to G1, but what I think some fans need to realise is that nothing will ever be as good as G1 was in it's Prime. (No pun intended) So if you don't compare it to G1, it's a good series, but otherwise, yes, it is a little mediocre. But it's a good series which I think too many people unfairly write off.
