60 Minutes December 09, 2007 Gorilla Massacre; Addiction Cure or Con; LaDainian Tomlinson Avg Score: 9.40 Total Ratings: 1 Total Reviews: 1 |
My favorite part of this installment of 60 minutes was the piece on LaDainian Tomlinson. It is just so nice to see a positive story about a football player (or any professional athlete) these days. There seem to be so few anymore.
Although LaDainian is a very intense player on the field and is great at what he does, he seems to have a heart of gold off the field. His charity work is by far greater than anything he could ever accomplish on the playing field.
Giving his time and his money to help kids that are less fortunate and/or stuck in a hospital is OK in my books.

James Spader Avg Score: 9.62 Total Ratings: 193 Total Reviews: 10 |
James Spader is probably one of my favorite actors on television today.
From the first time I saw him in films such as Rip in Less Than Zero, to Lee Woods in 2 Days in the Valley, to the oh-so-sadomasochistic E. Edward Grey in Secretary, and then on television as the character-of-all-characters, Alan Shore first on The Practice and now on Boston Legal... He has been simply amazing! The way Alan Shore and William Shatner's Denny Crane character interact together is brilliant.
I feel that James has been so underrated in his career. Plus, the fact that he does not feel he has to prove himself is commendable.
I hope he has a very long and prosperous career.

Oh the pranks that Jim plays on Dwight are so great. The whole vampire thing was hilarious.
The things that come out of Dwight's mouth at times are hilarious. What a twisted little mind he has.
Poor Pam having to endure Dwight's back-side in her face when he was lifting the ceiling tile.
Not sure I am too happy about Pam being back with Roy but I guess the Pam and Jim thing won't happen anytime soon. Her artwork is horrible, but it was nice that Michael showed up to the art show and gave her some much needed positive feedback (every now and then Michael seems to give you a glimmer of hope).

I found this episode just was not as funny as others this season. It is probably my least favorite episode that they have aired so far (both seasons).
In my opinion, they could have done so much more with this episode but instead seemed to just skim along the surface. Some of the flash backs just were not that interesting.
I guess every show is entitled to have a dud every now and then. Or maybe I was just expecting too much after the last few episodes that were so much better.
OK, they have their dud out of the way, let's move on to better episodes.

The is one of my favorite shows on TV today. Spader and Shatner are great. I've always been a James Spader fan, but was never a real big William Shatner fan until Denny Crane first appeared on The Practice.
I've been hooked on this show from day one.
I do really miss Rhona Mitra's character though.
