    The Bottom Line: "Perfect"

This show really should have lasted longer. Never have I loved a television couple more than I loved the relationship between Max and Liz. In fact, the bonds between ALL the characters on this show are the reason I tuned in week after week. The chemistry between Appleby and Behr is undeniable and their tragic, epic love affair rivaled that of other primetime supercouples. Even Buffy and Angel couldn't compare to Max and Liz. Has anything ever been romantic than the moment Max healed Liz? Has anything ever been more poignant than the day Michael decided that life with Maria was more important than going home to Antar? Has anything been more tragic than the look on Max's face when he finally understood the depth of Tess' betrayal? Has anyone ever felt more bereft and alone than Izzie did when she lost Alex, only moments after finally finding him? Has any family ever experienced the heartbreak that the Valenti's felt after losing Tess?

The answer is yes. Yes, we have all felt betrayed, bereft, heartbroken, alone. And we have all, in some form or another, experienced joy, love, sacrifice... and that's what made Roswell so brilliant. Because it brought these emotions into our homes each week, and the actors portrayed them with truth and eloquence. Acting is about truth and writing is about life. Roswell may have been a show about aliens, but it was an exercise in humanity.

    The Bottom Line: "Perfect"

I absolutely LOVE, LOVE "The Simpsons." I have been watching forever. I started watching with the first ep, "Simpsons Roasting on an Open Fire" and have been hooked ever since. The show is flat-out funny and every ep makes me laugh. Over the years, the show got better and better, culminating with the hilarious, "Simpsons Movie" on the big screen. In recent years, there's been some criticism that the show has declined in quality, however, I still think the show holds up and produces a few gems every season. However, after 20 seasons, it's only natural that certain storylines are repeated so I'll forgive them this as long as they keep making me laugh.

    The Bottom Line: "Great"

It was a good ep. The writing was good and overall the ep was emotional. Even though Q wasn't my favorite character, this ep was pretty good in showing the lives he touched.

I liked the narration by Samantha. The essay she wrote about Q was pretty good. But I thought Haley was a complete witch telling her to move, and then again with the snarky Clothes over Bros remark.

Surprisingly, the Jamie scenes were downplayed which was good. I thought it would all be about him, but, it seemed natural. He was quiet for the most part and even the scenes with him and Q's little brother were palatable. Surprisingly Luke didn't seem to have that prominent a role. Yeah, he was seen a few times talking to the team and with Peyton, but the ep really wasn't about him as much as it was about the others.

Skills-Deb was okay. I liked how she was there for him when Nate had Haley, Luke had Peyton, etc., but I'm still hoping they end their affair.

The Brooke story was intriguing. Was she raped? I dont' know. But it did seem odd that she didn't make any effort to cover up the bruises on her body, when she tried so hard to conceal her black eyes, makes you wonder.

And, as much as I don't like the Nanny Carrie storyline, I actually felt sorry for her with the reveal of her dead son's grave. But, that sorrow didn't last long when I saw the previews for next week when she kidnaps Jamie's bunny (totally ripping off "Fatal Attraction").

A few minor quibbles though, some of the lines said in the ep seemed stitled and forced.

Q's line, "how does a mother breathe?", seemed really odd. Why would he say that? That seems like a scripted line, not something a 22-year-old guy would just say.

Jamie's cape thing at the end was emotional, I guess, but I asked this question before: had Q lived, would he have really worn it? I'm sure he would have thanked Jamie for it and wore it once to humor him, but after that, he would have put it in his closet or something.

    I've Lost My Enthusiasm

Due to a combination of factors (the re-design, new DVR, being busy, etc), I've lost my enthusiasm for this site. Although I still visit daily, I don't participate in the forums as frequently as I did and am not contributing as much. In general, I'm kind of over it, I guess.

With the new fall season here, I thought I would be stoked, but so far... Meh. I DVR a lot of shows but thanks to a cable snafu (read my earlier blogs), I lost a lot of shows I recorded. It's hard getting into a new show when you miss the first ep. I continue to DVR my favorite shows but don't watch them as quickly as before. Sometimes a week or two will have passed before I watch them.

What's wrong with me? Well, I have been kind of busy. I just don't have that much time. I might have a new job, I'll find out Friday. But in general, I've kind of broken my addiction to this site, which I guess may be a good thing in the long run. Anyone else feel this way?

I always knew I liked Brenda Walsh

    You are Brenda

Aw, I'm feeling all nostalgic for the ole days... I'm so glad Shannen Doherty decided to reprise her role as Brenda, at least for a few episodes. It's nice that she decided to do something nice for the fans - it shows humility and respect. Good on you, Shannen.
