Lost There's No Place Like Home (1) Avg Score: 9.48 Total Ratings: 794 Total Reviews: 52 Users who agree: 1 Users who disagree: 1 |
This show has restored my faith in what a TV show can be in terms of storytelling and production value. Not since the X-Files have I been so captivated by a drama series. The way LOST keeps its fan base is by its sheer genius writing and pacing. The attention to detail is meticulous and the characters all shine in their parts. For a who that is 10x better on DVD than on TV, it has remarkably good pacing and intricacy. LOST literally has everything a lover of cinema could want: Drama, comedy, romance, tragedy and plot twists to spare. Far and away the best show on television today.

Lost The Shape of Things to Come Avg Score: 9.56 Total Ratings: 1000 Total Reviews: 70 Users who agree: 2 |
This episode is the benchmark for which all other episodes should be judged. this is in part thanks to the excellent pacing and directing by Jack Bender. Ben's story gets more and more fascinating each time the touch on it and the fact that he can be so hated in one scene and pitiful the next is something to be said. Michael Emerson has really established himself as a standalone great on this series and I only hope he can find more work after lost. This ep featured lots of violence, which has been prevalent this season and its implemented well except fro the three randoms that get killed meaninglessly. There is more than one shocking episode this episode and anyone thinking they know what will happen will be extremely surprised. A side story involving Jack getting sick is originated here and will be elaborated next episode. It will be interested to see how it develops. Overall, a really fine piece of TV with great acting, convincing acting and an ending that will chill you to the bone and create more conflict within the lost universe. 10/10.

Matthew Fox Avg Score: 9.38 Total Ratings: 744 Total Reviews: 55 Users who agree: 1 |
I considered Matthew Fox to be a good leading man on LOST, but the recent season finale just put him over the top. I saw him on a few POF eps, but didn't care for the show so I didn't really pay attention. He has good screen presence and he carries his dialogue well. What really struck me in his recent work is his intensity! The second half of the season 3 finale was by far his best acting in the series. Even with some rushed dialogue, he pulled it off in great fashion. Now this might just be my love for the show talking, but compared to the other actors on LOST, Matt takes the cake.
If anything, Matt knows how to play characters naturally. He played a drugged out loser to perfection in this latest episode. Little things like spaced out eyes and nervous ticks were done with great care. I can honestly say that if it weren't for Jack and Kate (Another underrated actress), LOST wouldn't be on any more. I love the show, but it was getting pretty weak near the beginning of Season 3. Not to mention their great on screen chemistry.
I would love to see Matthew get more work outside of LOST, but as for now, keep up the good work.

Lost Through The Looking Glass (1) Avg Score: 9.62 Total Ratings: 1620 Total Reviews: 111 Users who agree: 1 |
This episode was arguably the best of the season. Aside from all the suspense and new questions asked, there was plenty of fun moments and character development! Charlie went way up in my book this episode. I never noticed how much was riding on his performance. Jack and Kate had some good moments and this was arguably the most suspeseful episode of the season as well. I was surprised at all the deaths in this episode, but glad because ABC was actually telling the truth when they said "Everything changes in this episode." Very exciting television.
All the lost fans that held on and trusted the writers are the most rewarded here. It was decently written and seriously well acted. Standouts of the episode were Jack, Charlie and Jin(Yes Jin! You'll see when the time comes! So hardcore!) The only slipups I saw involving the acting was with the chicks in the looking glass. Lackluster performances and over acting. They never struck a good balance.
Now I said this ep was hard to watch because it is! First off, even if you didnt like charlie before this ep, you will at least respect his character after this episode. It was good acting and a fitting, pivotal point for his character. But when it comes down to it, this ep is all about Jack. Absolutely ridiculous. Matthew Fox really put his all into this one. During the flashes he plays the out of touch addict to a t, and on the island, his intensity and screen prescence is absolutley undeniable. He hasn't been this good since the second season's finale. Truly great character development and intense action and some real violence, for once on this show! I'm voting it best of the season. Many people were left wanting more, but thats what LOST is all about. I don't know about you guys, but this ending dropped my jaw. It just opened up a bunch of intriguing questions. Just a great ep that will hopefully revive this worthy and deserving show.

South Park Scott Tenorman Must Die Avg Score: 9.55 Total Ratings: 551 Total Reviews: 54 |
This Episode Is Without A Doubt The Most Absurd, Genius, Grotesque, Chilling And Hilarious Episode Of South Park (Followed Closely by "Simpsons Already Did It" In My Book) Ever To Come From The Twisted Minds Of Matt And Trey. Funny, Smart, Witty And All Around Great TV, This Episode Cannot Be Passed Up. The Twist Ending Rivals That Of Many Lost Episodes And Will Have You Grossed Out And Jumping FOr Joy At The Same TIme. Without a Doubt The Best South Park Episode Ever, If not The Best Animated Telecast Ever.
