G-Force: Guardians of Space Avg Score: 7.41 Total Ratings: 37 Total Reviews: 2 |
I know that Gatchaman already has box sets being released in America, but it's not the same. I'd rather that this version (G-Force) would be released on DVD sets, each volume with 42/43 episodes. Just a single DVD with only 7 episodes and no special features would be unfair. I demand that some other company than Rhino oughta release DVD sets before the end of 2007. I miss the show so much. My favorite episodes were Galactor's Deadly Trap (where Pee-Wee fell in love), The Particle Beam (where Dr. Brighthead had an old friend who had a dog), When Fashion Was Fatal (where there's a fashion show), The Monster Plants, The Fatal Flowers (both of which had circled around Aggie), The Giant Squid, In the Tentacles' Grip (where Ace and Dirk begin a rescue operation), The Mind-Control Machine (where Ace is kidnapped), G-Force Agent 6 (where there's a 6th member), and The Robot Stegosaur (the first one).

Thomas The Tank Engine & Friends The Deputation (Part 2) Avg Score: 8.97 Total Ratings: 16 Total Reviews: 3 Users who agree: 1 |
It's an early snowy day on the Island of Sodor. It's heavier than usual. Most engines hate the snow, but Donald and Douglas are used to it. They are coupled back to back with a van between their tenders and each with a snowplow in front of them. They puff backwards and forwards patrolling the line. Generally, the snow slips away easily, but they often find deeper drifts. All of a sudden, the twins come to a drift that is larger than others! They charge it and back up for another try when they hear Henry's whistle when he shouts for help. He is stuck in the snow! But the twins tell him not to worry, and wait a while. They'll have him out ASAP. Back at Tidmouth Sheds, Henry, now free from the snow, is very grateful. He sees all is not well. Donald and Douglas are looking upset. They tell the other engines that Sir Topham Hatt is making a decision. They think he'll send them away for sure. Percy says it's a shame. Gordon says that it's a lot of nonsense about the signal box Donald crashed his tender into. James thinks the same for Douglas' predicament with the spiteful Brake Van. But Henry says that the twins were splendid in the snow. It isn't fair. All four engines agree that something must be done, but who knows what? Percy decides to tell Edward about it. Edward tells Percy that what he needs is a deputation. He explains about it and Percy runs back quickly to tell the other engines, now joined by Duck, all about it, but he gets his word mixed up to "depot station". Gordon and Henry ask what it is, but they get the word mixed up to "desparation". Percy tells them that it's when engines tell Sir Topham Hatt something is wrong. But Duck responds and there is a long silence. Gordon proposes that Percy be their "disputation". Percy doesn't like it, but Henry tells him it's easy. Gordon then agrees. Porr Percy wishes he didn't! When he sees Sir Topham Hatt, he tells him about the problem with the twins, and Sir Topham Hatt agrees. When he arrives at Tidmouth Sheds, he speaks to the twins and tells them that they'll have a new coat of paint, but their names will be painted on them. They'll have no more "mistakes". The twins, surprised, thank him and ask him if it means that they'll both stay. Sir Topham Hatt smiles, but the rest of his speech is drowned in a delighted chorus of whistles and cheers. The twins are here to stay.

Thomas The Tank Engine & Friends Break Van (Part 1) Avg Score: 9.13 Total Ratings: 26 Total Reviews: 10 Users who agree: 1 |
In this episode, we meet Donald and Douglas, twin engines from Scotland who have arrived to help Sir Topham Hatt, but Sir Topham Hatt has been expecting only one of them. The twins do mean well, but they do cause confusion. Sir Topham Hatt has given them numbers. Donald: 9, and Douglas: 10, but he's still planning to send one of them home. As the story begins, a spiteful Brake Van has taken a dislike to Douglas. Things always go wrong when he has to take it out. He's always blamed for his late trains. Donald becomes cross with the van. It's to leave the van behind, Donald be wanting. But the van says he's essential, but Donald gives him a big, fat shunt! There's more coming if the van misbehaves. The van behaves better afterwards, but one day, Donald goes backwards on the slippery tracks and accidentally crashes his tender on a signal box. Donald is not harmed, but Sir Topham Hatt is annoyed and disappointed. He did not expect such clumsiness from Donald. He says that he had decided to return Douglas and keep Donald. Donald apologizes, and Sir Topham Hatt should think so, too. Afterwards, James grumbles dreadfully about helping with the goods work while Donald is at the engine works to have his tender mended. As James arrives at a station, Douglas says that anyone would think that Donald has had his accident on purpose. He hear tells about an engine and some tar wagons, but James tells Douglas to shut up. It's not funny. He hates being reminded of his own accident back in "James in a Mess". Douglas surely says it wasn't James. James didn't say! James sulkily slouches away with his Freight Cars, and the Brake Van. James grows exhausted when he reaches Wellsworth Station. Luckily, Douglas is there waiting for him. James tells Douglas to help him up the hill, because the cars are playing tricks. Donald agrees. A little bit later, Douglas copies Edward's "back engine" technique by helping James and his cars up the hill, but James is running short of steam and he can't do it. Douglas shouts out to leave it to himself. The conductor becomes anxious and shouts out to go steady, becuase the Brake Van is breaking! Douglas crashes into the van, which ends up in pieces. No one is harmed, and Edward arrives with the Breakdown Train to clear the mess. Sir Topham Hatt is on board. Sir Topham Hatt might've known it'd be Douglas. Edward says that Douglas is grand. He had heard from his yard that Douglas worked hard enough for three. Sir Topham Hatt says that two would've been enough. He wants to be fair, but he really doesn't know. He is trying to make up his mind about which one of Donald or Douglas to be sent away, but I can't tell you anymore, because that's not until the next episode. This is only part one. Stay tuned for part two!

Thomas The Tank Engine & Friends A Close Shave (Part 3) Avg Score: 9.56 Total Ratings: 23 Total Reviews: 4 Users who agree: 1 |
After being rumored by Diesel that he is horrid in the previous episode, poor Duck puffs to Edward's Station and tells Edward all about it. Edward smiles and tells Duck that he knows he isn't horrid, and so does Sir Topham Hatt. And he'll let Duck prove it by having Duck help him with his Freight Cars. Duck pushes the heavy cars from behind. The cars are heavy, noisy, and silly. Edward and Duck finally reach the top of the hill, but when Duck leaves, he suddenly hears the sound of the conductor's warning whistle! Edward's Freight Cars had broken away! They are shouting out to chase Duck, bump Duck, and throw Duck off the rails! Duck races through Wellsworth Station, but the cars are catching up! The driver gained control when the cars attached to Duck on the viaduct. Duck suddenly sees James pulling out on his line from the station ahead. Any minute, there could be a crash! It was all up to Duck to put every ounce of steam and weight against the cars. He suddenly veers into a siding where a barber had set up shop. Duck crashes into the barber shop, but, thank heaven, he's completely unharmed. He asks the barber to excuse his intrusion, but the barber won't, because Duck frightened his customers. So he lathered Duck's face all over with shaving cream. Poor Duck! Sir Topham Hatt arrives, and the barber tells him that he doesn't like engines popping through his walls. Sir Topham Hatt appreciates the feeling, but the barber must know that Duck and his crew had prevented a serious accident. It was a very close shave! The barber comes back to his senses and washes Duck's face by pouring water into one of his basins. The barber then apologizes to Duck, because he did not know that he was being a brave engine. Duck didn't know that either! Sir Topham Hatt tells Duck that he was very brave indeed. He was so proud of him! After the rescue operation, Sir Topham Hatt told Duck more news. When Duck is properly washed and mended, he is coming back home to Tidmouth Sheds. Sir Topham Hatt reminds Duck that he never believed devious Diesel, so he sent him packing. The other engines are sorry and want Duck back. A few days later, when he returned, there was a really rousing welcome for Duck the Great Western Engine!

Thomas The Tank Engine & Friends Edward & Gordon Avg Score: 9.27 Total Ratings: 31 Total Reviews: 13 Users who agree: 2 |
Edward, one of the most helpful engines on Sodor, is upset that the others are all bigger than him and boast about it. His driver feels sorry and decides that he can come out. So Edward puffs away, leaving the other engines with diddly-squat! Edward works hard all day. His coaches think he's very kind, and his driver is very pleased. That night, Edward asks what the other engines think of Edward's going out again tomorrow. But he doesn't hear what they think, for he is so tired and happy, that he falls asleep at once. The next morning, Edward awakens to find that Gordon is still boasting. Gordon is to rush through with the express, or at least that's what he says. Gordon leaves, and Edward goes off to do some shunting. He likes playing with Freight Cars. He'd come up quietly and give them a push. Then he'd stop and the silly cars would go bump into each other! Edward plays until there are no more Freight Cars. Then he stops at a station to rest. Presently, he hears a whistle. It's Gordon's whistle. He's so cross because instead of the express, he is pulling a lot of dirty Freight Cars! Edward laughs and puffs off to find some more Freight Cars. But then the porter tells Edward's driver to take Edward to push Gordon up Gordon's Hill, because Gordon can't do it. Edward finds Gordon halfway up and crosser than ever before. His driver severely tells him that he's not trying. Gordon says that the noisy Freight Cars hold an engine back so. Edward's driver tells him that they've come to push. Gordon thinks it's no use at all, but he'll just have to wait and see. He brings his Freight Train back to the bottom of the hill, and Edward buffers up to the Brake Van. He is ready, but Gordon thinks it's no good. Edward pushes hard. When going up the hill, Gordon says he can't do it 3 times, and Edward says he will do it 3 times and pushes and puffs and puffs and pushes as hard as ever he could. And almost before he realizes it, Gordon finds himself at the top of the hill and goes very, very, very, very, very, very, very, ve... Okay, enough with the very's already! ...Fast as he shouts out that he has done it, he's done it, he's done it!!! He forgets all about Edward and doesn't even thank him. Edward is left breathless and far behind on the way to Elsbridge Station. But he is happy, because he'd been so helpful. At Elsbridge Station, he finds out that his driver and fireman are very pleased with him. His fireman gives him a nice drink at the water tower and the driver says he will get out his paint the next day and give Edward a beautiful shiny coat of blue with red stripes, and then Edward will be the smartest engine in the shed.
