A lot of people seem to disagree with me!

So I was reading through some of my previous contributions, in particular my TV show reviews and was surprised (or perhaps not actually) to see that many of my reviews have x users disagree with this, or whatever the wording is.

On reflection I think its quite simple really. People (i.e. the general TV.com masses) overrate (sp) shows massively. For example how often do you see a 10.0 rating for an episode - not a show, but an episode?! Has that episode really reached the pinnacle of perfection?! Has it delivered everything you wanted and more, and there was no conceivable way possible for it to better in any single (no matter how small way) way?! I find that impossible to believe, unless you happen to be someone who considers a slug in your garden cabbage patch to bean orgasmic experience.

That's why you see mediocre shows, and mediocre episodes rated far above what they should be, with the high rating reviews offering no decent explanation as to how they came to that conclusion. It's a joke, and I think many people are just rating based on the reputation of the show, or even worse perhaps based on what they think will get them x users agree with this ratings.

And what's more annoying than all that are users who criticise a show rightly so, and then go on to give it a 9.5+ rating!! What on earth is that about?!

So in conclusion I've decided to perservere and I hope others in a similar situation continue to do so as well. We need some sensible rational voices in this place.

Peace out.

Another great Curb episode, which makes two on the trot thankfully.

In this episode, Larry becomes "New" Larry in order to win back Cheryl. New Larry tucks in his shirt, wears proper shoes and sponsors the Funkhauser walkathon (kind of) happily (at least more happily than he would have).

However, on the advice of his therapist Larry decides to give Cheryl an ultimatum to move back in. This, quite obviously, goes horribly wrong and Cheryl's therapist advises her against getting back with Larry.

Angry with his therapist, played by the british comedy legend Steve Coogan, Larry enlists the therapist's help to win over Cheryl's therapist (phew).

What follows is classic Curb chaos, and involves a fantastic scene where Larry's therapist ends up being arrested.

It was a great episode. Larry's plots and plans seemed to have gone right, but then he landed in it at the end again! This is what makes this show truly great.

Well it's all over. And overall I think it was a good first season to this show. In this conclusion, Hank has to deal with Karen marrying Bill and Becca's first period.

I just thought it all ended a little too happy. Everything seemed to come together for Hank quite nicely, which therefore poses the question as to what do they do for next season? Is there even a next season planned? To me it just seems like a convenient ending. All the stories are closed, they've reached suitable end points so theere is no need to stretch it out.

I did feel sorry for Bill being left out on the street as Karen showed apprently no remorse for walking out on him AFTER the wedding.

Anyway a good finale, and a good season for this new show.

This really was one of the best Curb episodes I've seen for a very long time, and certainly the best of this current season.

Larry in his classic style stumbles across a man on a mobile phone in a public toilet, who proceeds to use the N-Word a number of times. In re-telling the story to someone, naturally things can only go wrong for poor old Larry.

I thought this was exactly what has made this show great. Larry put into a situation that through some downright misfortune excaserbated (sp) by his own ludicrous actions is just so ridiculous. You feel for him, yet are so annoyed at the same time!

I'm glad the Blacks came back too - Larry on his own would have been really horrible. Great epsiode, and hopefully a return to the glory days! :)

And by key elements I mean primarily Dwight. I was hoping that the whole Dwight being upset over his break up had ended in the previous episode - that's the impression we were given after he received Jim's pep talk, so it was a real shame that we saw his pathetic self for yet another episode. I hope the writers bring him out of that soon because he is very much key to a succesful show, and the show were he is like this tend to be below par.

Aside from that point, I actually really liked the advert that Michael produced! Great work but I think that was probably the only highlight in the show. Not that many laughs, and really just a fairly average filler episode.

Well I think I can only start off by echoing most people's sentiments when I say that I really do dislike Mia. Her brazen attitude and reasoning for stealing Hank's book infuriated me immensely. I do however think that she'll come good. Clearly when Becca spoke to her, you could see her words had an effect on Mia, and she may just own up in the season finale but it may not just be owning up to the true author of the book.

I was glad that Charlie spotted it was Hank's work, but I think that Danni may prove difficult in that respect holding what she does over him.

And then there's the whole marriage to Bill! It won't happen ... will it?

Next week's episode just has so many possibilities! It should be a great end to a great first season.
