Dr. Finlay's Casebook It's All In The Mind Avg Score: 9.10 Total Ratings: 1 Total Reviews: 1 |
Dr. Alan Finlay is still a student doctor, eagerly awaiting his final exam results. He is keen to apply for a post as a surgeon, and to marry his young nurse girlfriend. When his landlord begins to behave eccentricly, it looks for all the world as though he is in the middle stages of a serious mental breakdown. When the man turns up at Tannochbrae, with symptoms of amnesia, he is examined by Cameron. Finlay is aghast when Cameron dismissed the man as faking his illness. Cameron is sufficiently impressed however by young Finlay to supply him with a glowing refrence for a job in surgery, as assistant to his old friend Sir William Duffy. However, Sir William tells Finlay he gets too involved with his patients, and not suited for the operating theatre. Finlay's dissapointment turns to suprise when Cameron offers his a junior partnership. Finlay is sceptical whether he can work with such old fashioned methods..But might Cameron be right all along with his case of the landlord faking amnesia? If so, what had the man to gain by faking....

One of the all time greats, and I'm sure a huge inspiration to "Only Fools and Horses." Harold was convinced he could have made it anywhere in life, but was held back by his possessive and selfish Father Albert. Yet he considered it his duty to look after his Father, who often succeeded in what Harold tried to accomplish! His impression of his domestic liabilities tended to shelter Harold from any of his own inadequecies, and the character drew comfort from his imagination of what might have been, if not for his Father. Harolds late Mother was a central character, cleverly etched, though we never saw her, relying only on the characters impressions of her memory.

Public Eye I Always Wanted a Swimming Pool Avg Score: 8.90 Total Ratings: 1 Total Reviews: 1 |
Marker studies art and artists, to pose as a serious art collector, after a client instructs him to but a painting so as to expose it as a fake. All the signs of a fake are there..In the sellers studio there is a young artist painting modern abstracts, yet apparently can also produce copies of valuable paintings. Yet there is more to this art sellers studio than it at first appears..Markers suspicious client has instructed him to buy up to £1500, and offers commision for any money Marker can negotiate a lower buying price for. Frank's initial excitement for this impending commision becomes irrelevent, after he is let into a secret by the seller. Maybe, for once, Frank can strike it rich, whilst keeping his client happy-for now!

Public Eye What's to Become of Us? Avg Score: 8.90 Total Ratings: 1 Total Reviews: 1 |
The partnership between Marker and Ron Gash is nearing it's end, as both men find the other is getting on his nerves! Gash continues to struggle to understand Markers motivation in life..Marker begins to look for a new place of his own in which to work, while on the trace of a mans missing wife. When the lady in question denies being married, doubts about Markers client, and not least his ablility to pay his bill, cause further bickering bewteen the partners...This episode treads carefully accross the ridge between clinical depression, which forms the episodes main focus, and some touches of humour between Marker and Gash.
