    The Bottom Line: "Superb"

It had been a while since I laughed in a Bones episode. This one had several moments that were funny and no one was off character.
I have to say this show have cases of people who accidentally kill someone and at some point it lets you know that if they didn't act impulsively many crimes wouldn't be committed. I liked Booth, his behavior and his compassion for the murderer shows the kind of man we met in those first episodes. His interaction with Brennan again was very interesting, with the back and forth conversation that makes you want more.
Angela's whole "I'm ok with it" speech to Hodgins was my least favorite moment. I can't believe a person can get over something so deep so soon, while Hodgins is still wondering what went wrong and dealing with the pain the breakup caused him. Just for pride, I hope Hodgins never takes her back. He deserves better.
Cam and the new grad, excellent. Cam's patience surprised me as well as how straight she is when she wants to say something.
Brennan. God, is she for real? She really made me laugh with her response to Angela's situation. One of the things I like about this show is how she and Booth compliment each other without sounding boring or repetitive. She loves telling Booth what he wants to hear, but the best thing is that is true and she makes him feel better in a second. She knows that Booth works very hard to be a good person but he needs to hear someone say it to be satisfied. And nothing is better for him than to hear it from Brennan.

    The Bottom Line: "Superb"

Mulder gives in once again. He is called to talk to Duane Barry, an alleged alien abductee. It's amazing how easily Mulder believes in people, especially when they talk about something he's passionate about. Unfortunately, he wants to believe so badly. I think he made a terrible mistake taking the place of the abductee and fall into Barry's mind game. Scully helps him as always, but she pays the price. Even when we know the government is behind all this in an attempt to destroy the relationship between Mulder and Scully, you can see the the two partners are closer than ever, than nothing will keep them apart, because distance only strenghtens the relationship.
I have to mention the wonderful performances by CCH Pounder and Steve Railsback, who made this episode more believable and dramatic.

    The Bottom Line: "Good"

While this is hardly a classic, or even a memorable episode, it's certainly a funny instalment of the Simpsons, with Bart getting yet another pet, a cow, and wanting Lou to be the exception to the rest of the meat product animals. The laughterhouse scene is the high point and climax of the episode, and the funny cheesiness of Bart caring about Lou and the extent of his dedication to save the calf, including marrying Cletus' daughter, or the more Bart-like approach of breaking in to free him.

While Bart having an elephant and other pets were funnier, this is still an entertaining episode of the nineteenth season.

I'm Still Here! And I've Brought Tv News! And a Review of Shogun!

Ok first I haven't posted a blog in two weeks because there's been nothing really to talk about. And there really still isn't.

But you can look at this, its apparently the top and bottom TV gains in ratings (I mean the shows that have gotten more viewer improvements since last season, or vise versa) Wanna take a guess on what show has gotten the most new viewers? The viewership has went up 42% which is really great. Hints are: its aired three episodes so far, I've mentioned the show in a "recent" blog, its one of my favorite shows, and it airs on a crappy network (not FOX). Guess then check the list. - http://www.thrfeed.com/2008/10/fall-tv-gainers.html

Ok there's really not much else to say, so I'll post something new when something new happens. But I'm still here! I'll end with a few Trivium things.
And I'll post more tv things when I actually find some that matter. What can I say about the new tv season? Or at least the shows I watch. Supernatural and House have been the best, Prison Break has magically improved some still not that great, Smallville is now unwatchable for me so I quit, Scrubs and 24 aren't on until 2009, Im not watching any other FOX shows, espically the new ones (except Animation Domination of course), Monk/Psych were ok they both had a few good episodes, Ghost Hunters and Destination Truth have been pretty good and that's really it. Judging the past two weeks of FOX Cartoons Simpsons has been pretty good, I really liked last nights, King has been ok the premire was good but last nights was just average, Family Guy actually suprised me with a good premire but the Jesus episode was easily the biggest piece of **** I've seen in months (and Im not saying that because I was offended by the jokes I just think the episode was bad) and American Dad! has been great.

    Shogun Review

Yes it's pretty late when I said I'd review it early but deal with it.

Not being a giant fan of Shogun I didnt really even have plans to get it right away but I found myself seeing the album on LimeWire a week before it was released and I decided I might as well get it (yes I know not buying music = bad) But I have to say while the album in total is pretty good better than The Crusade about the same, prouble a little less than Ascendancy and I'm not going to judge Ember to Inferno cause I barely listen to it (really, not that big of a fan, only certain songs) I still have mixed feelings from the album. While certain tracks such as Into the Mouth of Hell We March and Torn Between Scylla and Charybdis show some of their best work, other tracks such as Krisute Gomen show the not so good. According to my iTunes ratings, all of the songs received either 4 or 5 stars, so thats good (the 5 stars being Into the Mouth..., Torn Between..., Down From the Sky, The Calamity, Upon the Shores *Bonus Track*, and the title track Shogun) but I still find its missing something. Its really hard to explain because I enjoy the album but I guess for some reason I expected more from a band that I dont really expect much from. Make sense? Well I'll reword it, Trivium is great but I thought the album would be enough to make me a bigger fan, and its really not. The other bonus track Poison, the Knife, or the Noose was good also. The title track Shogun, while being 12 minutes long, making it the longest song I have so far except for a 13 minute Iron Maiden song, has to be one of my favorites by them. The song is near perfect starting fast then showing a great chorus, getting a 4 minute slow part, two solos, and other stuff hard to just say ending with a short 1 minute interlude I could prouble write a good review just on the song. But none of the others really made a huge impression on me. Instead I'm still overwelmed with All Hope Is Gone - Slipknot and to a lesser extent Death Magnetic - Metallica. But still the album is worth the money. I belive with the bonus tracks (also includes a cover of the song Iron Maiden released about two months ago which is really awesome) on iTunes its only $12 and just slightly more for the CD/DVD of it on Amazon. While I didnt buy the album myself (belive me I would have if I really liked it, I did for Indestructible, All Hope, and Death Magnetic all of which I got for free before the release) I did get the two bonus tracks which I guess helps, but if you are unable to get the album off LimeWire or dont like stealing, the album IS worth the money, at least for a good listening or two. At least get Shogun, that sound just owns. Final rating 7.5/10.

My Favorite Trivium Songs (No Order)

These are about the only ones I listen to with the album their from, not really counting Shogun cause its new so I still listen to it.

    1. A Gunshot to the Head of Trepidation - Ascendancy
    2. Fugue (a Revelation) - Ember to Inferno
    3. Like Light to the Flies - Ascendancy
    4. Dying in Your Arms - Ascendancy
    5. Shogun - Shogun
    6. Entrance of the Conflagration - The Crusade

    A Helping Hand

Morning people! Not much to talk about in my personal life today so just a quick round up, I'm sure there's other stuff you're more interested in today...

So it was a pretty uneventful weekend this week, I was just pleased to get the working week over with for a bit although this week is so busy it's unbelievable. I think I overdid tennis this week, from last Saturday to this Saturday I played on 7 different occasions and on Saturday I was just so knackered when I was playing. It's been a long time since I've felt glad to finish playing. I also think I've picked up my first tennis injury, I have a really bad hand/finger at the minute which I think I did on Tuesday. It just hurts when I play and now when I type. I've done more typing this weekend than I normally would and my left hand is suffering at the minute.

In gaming I'm nearing completion of Assassin's Creed. I've taken down the full 9 targets and have completed all the side missions so it's really just a case of wrapping up the game now. Plenty of cut scenes to go through I've noticed. I'm also close to getting the most achievement points I've managed for one game, I'm yet to hit 700 but I fear I might be 5 points short. I have hit 7000 total gamer points exactly which is nice.

To the main part of my blog I guess is my tv.com news. As most of you are well aware now I became a site mod on Friday. It's been a long wait since I was first asked thanks to the redesign but it was certainly worth it! There's a hell of a lot to read up on, now I really do have to know the ToS inside out which I've never really bothered with before. Plus I need to play catch up with the other mods learning who to look out for and how the moderation process works. My only concern really is that I do things differently to how they currently do it. I knew there was a lot involved in being a mod but there's more than I could've imagined that we can do. Thanks to everyone who has already congratulated me, it's much appreciated. I'd like to mention here as well that for those of you who don't know more_ncis_now is also a new site mod so go congratulate her as well! We'll officially be added into the 'Here to Help' section in a week or so, but starting now if anyone has any problems regarding moderations (or anything in general) do come to me! I'll be able to help one way or another so don't hesitate to send me a PM.

I also guess that now my submitting days are going to be more limited in numbers, I haven't had too much to moderate yet so maybe I'll still be able to submit plenty. I'm pretty relieved though to have a new focus on the site, finding subs to continue submitting for a year and a half is pretty tiresome. I've made over 58,000 subs so a change was well overdue in my eyes. It also means I don't have to worry about holding onto the third place spot on the site. I know I've never needed to worry about it but as submitting was all I had I thought I might as well try to be as good as I can. I'd still like to hit level 90 and reach 60k subs but I guess that'll take a bit longer now, I'll be content for the time being to just look after my current guides rather than focusing on getting new ones.

As for TV, I didn't manage to watch all the new airing episodes this week as there's just so many now! First up I watched Dirty Sexy Money 'The Birthday Present' which I thought was good. The show has just picked up right from where it finished which is no bad thing. Next up was Heroes 'One Of Us, One Of Them' which was another great instalment! I still really don't like Niki/Tracey, not really sure why though. I also saw Criminal Minds 'The Angel Maker' which saw a return to the regular episode set up. It was a good episode, I like a good back story behind the case and I'm glad to see that Hotch saw sense in the end. After finishing season 2 of Ugly Betty the other day I was able to begin on season 3. I watched 'The Manhattan Project' and it was like I'd never been away...maybe because I hadn't! Not sure about the new magazine set up but I do like the way the show is progressing.

My album for the day is One Of The Boys by Katy Perry.

My shuffle song for the day is 'Ruby' by The Kaiser Chiefs.

My thing to ponder for today is: Why don't woodpeckers get headaches when they slam their head on a tree all day?
