Kick
I know what I need to get started on something. A huge kick in the but. A deadline, something. If I HAVE to do something, I am more likely to do it than if it is just something I want to do. Just wanted isn't enough, I have to have a time limit. Isn't that idiotic?
Now I've started proof reading a friend's book and I've started fixing Jeremiah, as I planned on doing a long time ago. But I realise now that I do not remember quite everything so a rewatch might be in order. Then I can get quotes and such as well. That'll be great.
The counting is not happening this time. Maybe later.

Prophecy
What I thought would happen has happened. I fell out of the habit of writing due to time constraints and then I always have troubles picking something up again. So I guess I'll just have to wait and see how long it'll take me to start writing again. (Besides the counting posts).

Point Pleasant Missing (aka When the Cat's Away) Avg Score: 9.22 Total Ratings: 63 Total Reviews: 3 |
Okay, previously every episode has taken a tiny step forward, and everything has seemed to be going in one certain direction. Not anymore.
The episode starts and runs as previous, we take steps towards finding out everything, we learn new things. The episode seems to be similar to others, meaning very good and taken the story forward bit by bit. We see how Christina's powers develop, how Boyd and Holly has their little banter, how Mrs. Kramer seems to be going more and more insane.
But then, at the end, we get a real change. Several of the characters change drastically. Still within the boundaries of them, but their view upon everything does a huge spin and suddenly Point Pleasant is not as we've thought it to be.
As the show was cancelled two episodes after this one it is impossible to know really how the series end. But judging from this episode, there is a chance of it getting a proper ending.

Point Pleasant Hell Hath No Fury Like a Woman Choked Avg Score: 9.09 Total Ratings: 64 Total Reviews: 2 Users who agree: 3 |
The previous episode was scary and left a few questions. This episode solves a few of these, for example how Jesse managed to hold his own in the fire.
Holly and Boyd shares a moment of deep emotional and physical sensation that nearly brought tears to my eyes. I had my doubts about Grant Show, but with this episode he took a step up. He and Elizabeth Bennett has a good chemistry.
Boyd also reveals more of his powers, and his weaknesses. And Christina does the same, we find out what it will take to tip the scale, what would be the most likely event that will turn her into what Boyd wants.
We also gets a new character into the mix, and an old character shows some more interesting traits.
And we find out that there's much more to the events we're watching.

Jeremiah Avg Score: 8.45 Total Ratings: 386 Total Reviews: 11 Users who agree: 2 |
Right, we got Luke Perry (Dylan from 90210) in the lead. He's a decent actor and does a decent role. As I followed 90210 during its first run I had problems seeing Luke as Jeremiah. This changed, after a few episodes he was Jeremiah. Jeremiah is a serious character, but he has his fun-moments. According to the show he was seen as a "grandfather" when he was young, due to his serious nature.
Then we got Malcom Jamal-Warner (Theo from the Cosby Show). I recognized him, but it was too long ago so it didn't really bring up too many strange memories. He does a good job at being Kurdy.
Together these two form a team that travels through the post-apocalyptic world. 15 years before the first season a disease wiped out everyone past puberty, the world is run by the children who grew up after that.
The team they've created meets different characters who each brings a certain something into the mix. The most noticable one is Theo (Kim Hawthorne), she appears early on and has a recurring role. Each episode Theo is in is going to be a laugh riot, she is so over the top.
So, now we have a future that's post-apocalyptic, we have funny characters and the big thinker (Jeremiah). A good mix for a good show.
Unfortunately this show met its demise after only two seasons. I have yet to see the final episodes. This review will be rewritten after I have done that.
This far all I can say is, "I can't wait to see the next episode".

Mutant X Avg Score: 8.04 Total Ratings: 731 Total Reviews: 34 Users who agree: 7 |
The show is set in the future and revolves around New Mutants. Especially a group called Mutant X.
There are four different kinds of mutants. Mutant X are composed of one of each kind. Shalimar is Feral, Brennan is Elemental, Emma is Psionic and Jesse is Molecular. In Season 3 Lexa is brought in, she is an Elemental Mutant.
The power a New Mutant possesses develop, and with each change they must learn to handle their new ability. This is something that proves too hard for many. In addition New Mutants are viewed as an abomination, they must keep hidden. And as not all cannot manage their own power it is near impossible to keep the ordinary people away form the knowledge of New Mutants.
The show has an appearance of having had a large budget, I do not know if it did or not. The special effects for the different powers are amazinging to watch.
Instead of keeping a superficial view of the character with the show only containing fights that are nice to watch we are served with developing characters. As the episodes pass we find out how the members of Mutant X have lived their lives before, how they live now, and what they do to handle their current lives.
Persionally I enjoyed this show and I'm glad it got as long a run as it did, but I would have loved more.

Jake 2.0 Avg Score: 8.46 Total Ratings: 771 Total Reviews: 33 Users who agree: 1 |
Jake is an ordinary person that gets an unordinary substance into his body. That substance changes him. He becomes stronger, faster, has better hearing and seeing.
He also gets the power of interfacing with electronic equipment. From a distance.
He goes from an ordinary tech to a super agent. But without training in the field and also the lack of knowledge of how to use his powers.
During the course of this show he learns how to use his new and improved capacity, as well as how to be a better agent.
