Death at Dawn

This is a very good episode. I like it because it shows the boys reaction when they find out Ben is kidnapped. Joe and Hoss want to immediately go find Ben and shoot it out, but though Adam wants to find Ben, he wants to trick the bad guys. I think that also shows where Adam's education comes in, as compared to Hoss and Joe. This is a typical episode of Bonanza, similarities from different episodes, but it still has a very good plot. I definitely think this is one of the best episodes of Bonanza because of the character development and the plot.

I think this is a good episode to add to the collection. There are two things that are not as typical, and I like, in this episode. 1- There isn't any fighting in this episode. It's nice to have these episodes once in a while, because it shows the more emotional side to Bonanza. 2- The comedy factors in this episode. This episodes is nice, because although, the show's not fully devoted to comedy, (like Hoss and the Leprachauns), it has scenes like Hoss and Joe with Sue and Kenny, and Ben blowing bubbles out of the pipe, and Adam catching them (even though that part was extremely cheesy)! This is a good episode to add to the collection, though, since when has Ben smoked a pipe?!?

Day of the Dragon

This is a pretty good episode, it has a new plot that isn't as typical with Bonanza. That's really a nice change, because the usual plot is someone's trying steal the Ponderosa land, but that isn't the case with this one. The story is that Joe is playing poker, and he thinks he's winning a horse, but it turns out to be a Chinese girl slave, who doesn't want to be set free. The episode eventually ends with Su Ling, the girl, working in Virginia City as a nurse for a Chinese doctor. This is another one where Little Joe get shot...big surprise!!! Seriously, I think the writers were obsessed with have Joe shot or knocked out in almost every episode. Probably because they wanted to scare all his admirers! Over all, this is a nice episode to add to the Bonnanza collection.

Gilligan's Island
The Second Ginger Grant
Avg Score: 8.23    Total Ratings: 25    Total Reviews: 2
This is probably, in my point of view, one of the best episodes of Gilligan's Island. It is really hilarious. I think it's great that they finally have one just about Mary Ann, she really didn't get as much credit as she could have. First she thinks she's Ginger, then Gilligan thinks he's Mary Ann, it's really fun to watch them imitating each other, and I'm sure it must have been a lot of fun for them too. I also like it how they show how much they care about Mary Ann, considering it's a comedy, it's nice that they're not sarcastic and uncaring. This is a great episode, and I definitely put it into the top 5.

The Gift
Avg Score: 8.35    Total Ratings: 15    Total Reviews: 2
The indians are between Ben and Joe. You know this has to be a good one. There are some scenes in this episode which are just priceless! The last scene with Ben and Joe is a tearjerker and shouldn't be missed and the scenes with Joe and Emiliano is very good acting, I think. They've definitely gotten better with the acting since the first season, you must admit. The first episode is a good plot...but the acting is so cheesy! I think it's most likely because they were trying to get the charaters established and over did it a little bit. But "The Gift" is very, very good. The best scene I'd have to say is the scene where Adam and Hoss tell Ben what Joe is doing and why. It really shows the tight-knitted family that the Cartwrights are. I think that's the greatest theme about this episode.
