It was fun while it lasted

For me, this is very much how internet began, sure I did use the internet and had been a member of other forums, but tv.com is where my internet social life began, It was kind of fun watching the little kids flame each other obn the cartoon forum, then pick up many friends and eventually even migrating to rage and losing interest in this site, but as of now, I retire from both sites.

Have fun everyone

During one night of HSC study, I needed a break and decided to switch on the television. I began flicking through the chanels. Finding nothing on as usual. Eventually I left it on channel 7. A train driving along railway tracks which exploded and a man whose breifcase seemed mportant which got stolen was presented from the screen. At that time I thought it was a CSI type show, till the numbers indicating time came up on the screen, and I realised it was 24. I decided to watch for a little while longer. Little did I realise, that was all that I needed to get hooked to one of the best tv shows out there.

I couldn't stop watching it, when the 2 hours had ended (They often play the first 2 hours together) I needed more, such began my addiction to 24.

The action intense plotlines, the intense cliffhangers all work together to make one of the most thrilling show experiences out there. The fact that events occur in real time also provides an interesting timeframe, which they use really well. There is a few minor annoyances and stories and events can get quite repeditive, but if you overlook and don't focus on these minor annoyances, you get one excellent show. Season 5 got even better and after watching season 1 I have aquired more empathy for many of those who died in the 5th season.

Nearly Every episode of 24 has an intense Cliffhanger or twist at the end of the episode, which makes you feel that you have to watch the next episode. I certainly hate missing an episode, it annoys me to no end.

One of the things that struck me about this episode was a change in humour, It was a little weaker then the first season, but it had it more often. All in all,id say the humour in this episode gave me a much greater experience. The action scenes were mildly good, could have been better, but once again, there was little disappointment there. The plot was quite entertaining and executed nicely, here you can really appreciate Trixies changes she is a lot better then before.

I also liked how Jakes sidekicks play a larger role in this series. That also helped with the action, its good to see more human fighting, rather then just magical creatures attacking each other. The human touch was good

2 things I have to say which lost pointswere... Things seemed to move a little fast, and take away a bit of the suspense... Also Certain features of the animation.... Jakes Human form annoyed me to no end the pointy ears and the wierd look, just wasn't up to first seasons standards... Jakes Dragon form... Whilst not as bad as I thought it would be, still no comparison to the awesome looking dragon of the first season. We didn't see Lao Shis dragon form in this so I can't comment about that. I also did not like Fu Dogs new appearence. And the last bad note I have to say is the backgrounds looked terrible especially the shoots of New York city. The animation all played together and gave it an un-american Dragon feel.

All in all, a sucessful episode, and a fine series Pilot (For Americans that is)

Kommissar Rex
Moser's Death (2)
Avg Score: 9.37    Total Ratings: 3    Total Reviews: 1
Although I hadn't seen all this episode, I can honestly say that this is the best episode of Inspector Rex ive seen.

In this episode, we have a more dangerous criminal, an unpredictable woman Killer who has a short fuse.

The scene of the killers confrontation with his mother is a good dramatic scene and sets the prelude for the action that is about to occur. Meanwhile Moser is falling in love with a psychiatrist, who gets kidnapped by the killer. The suspense grows from here as Rex braves unstable ladders, and comes close to death himself.

But the huge summit of the plot of this episode is the death of Moser, the detective who we had grown to know so fonldy throughout his time alive.

The end, while a little corny preovides us with a little relief, before the suspense is once again lifted as the doctor walks out of the room to tell them the bad news. It was a sad episode, but one of the best I had seen.

E. Peterbus Unum

It has to be the humour and interesting concepts that are throughout this episode that makes it one of the best. The mere concept of Peter running his own country calls for disaster but when he is influenced by the Iraqui representitive to the UN to take what he wants for respect we figure that Peter will just build his own pool, but instead, he takes control of His Neighbors pool, which gets the US military involved. This almost ludacris plot line is a basis for many of the laughs given in the episode. There are also quite a few Satirical references in this episode, with Clinton being drawn Naked because he is considered a sex pervert, The involvement of the US military for such a small problem and making fun of the Generals Grammar can be considered Subtle attacks at the US government.

All in all it was a great episode and its exactly why I watch this series.

This show is great and many of the things portrayed in it are very original. Things like an evolved cat, a hologram of former crew members and great continuity make this a great amd unique watch. The mismatch of the slob, with the Suckup. The cat is also a great laugh with his ever long quest to make himself beautiful and his unquelshable appitite.
