This type of episodes, no matter what kind of series, is my absolut favourite. I love it when they make an episode which take you through all the highlights of a series, because in six years a lot can happen, a lot of funny and even heartbreaking scenes. It's always a pleasure to see such an episode, because even though I have seen these different seasons several times, I can't remember every scene that was. This kind of episode makes clear that "time" is going fast, and even though it doesn't seem like it, six years (as I wrote this review) as gone past since the pilot of this series aired. This "time passing" is especially visable, when you see the girls grow up. In some scenes of this episode they were six or seven and now they are 12. I have to stop now because I'm getting a little bit sentimental writting about it, but I hope that Jim and his whole family will entertain us quite a while and if they don't...HOOOPPPPPPEEEE for a DVD-set!!!!

I knew that they would do something like that. Jim, as the typical male, is deeply offended by the fact that he lost to a woman in his speciality, the annual hot dog eating contest. But what is even worse is when Andy is dating Jim's worst ennemy. Jim, still hurt by his defeat, wants to get even with Yoki, and decides to do so during a family barbecue. Unfortunately for Jim the contest ends at the hospital for him. To be honest, every man is angry and hurt when he's defeated by someone, especially when this someone is a woman. I know, from experience that men have a difficult time dealing with such a tough loss. But what Jim's biggest problem is that he cannot accept that someone was better and will try even harder next time. For Jim it is clear that Yoki must have cheated in order to beat him. Honestly it's kind of sad that Jim thinks like that, but every man has difficulties admitting things, especially when it's about a loss inflicted by a skinny little woman.

According to Jim Guess Who's Cooking Your Dinner? Avg Score: 7.69 Total Ratings: 21 Total Reviews: 1 |
When I watched this episode, all I felt was deep satisfaction. I tell you this as a man, I know that women won't feel the same way about it. In this episode, for the first time I think, Cheryl's advice backfired. After Jim told Kyle to lie about his age at the movies to get him in for free, Cheryl gives Jim a lecture about setting an example for their kids and that there is only right and wrong and nothing in between.
After Gracie is caught in school for fraud, Ruby had made Gracie's homework, both, Cheryl and Jim gives them a lecture about helping people, even if it is for someone you love or your family by cheating, is morally wrong. And baaannnggg, that is the moment when her advice came back to hunt her. Ruby asks if it is wrong to help even if it is for a sister, like Cheryl helping Dana cook a family dinner for Dana's boyfriend. Naturally, as a guy, I fully understand Jim's reaction. As a man you have to savor a win, as long as you can, because sooner rather then later it will be over.
At the family dinner, Jim and Andy mock Dana by asking her how she cooked the dinner, what the ingredients were she used for this beautiful dinner. Ryan being so impressed by all of this scene is asking Dana to marry him. All Dana can say is admitting that she can't cook, but Ryan's reaction to all of it is just what was expected. I have to say that Ryan is a wonderful addition to the cast of this show. He brings another kind of humor to the show and he is a little bit more serious and sophisticated, but none the less funny in his own way.

This episode was good, but it is definitely not one of the best. Jim hasn't slept in nights, because baby Tanner is crying all night. Unfortunately this state won't change till Ryan comes back from Africa. Cheryl comes up with the idea of Jim staying at Andy's for a good night of rest and furthermore Cheryl could spend more time with Dana and the baby.
During this "special" night, Jim and Andy actually have so much fun that Jim isn't willing to come back home. Cheryl, without thinking twice, agrees with Jim staying a couple of nights at Andy's place, because she wants to spend more time with Dana and Tanner. First Jim is really excited about his new place, but slowly and surely Jim has one and only thought that bothers him: Why doesn't Cherryl miss him??
I was totally amazed with Andy's little "amusement center". All those computer games, board games and weapons tidied up in one cabinet. I have never seen anything like it. I thought I was in the room of a ten-year old and not of a grown-up.
Seeing Jim and Andy play virtual boxing was really cool. Furthermore I never thought that Jim would admit his problem that is needing a person he can talk to and share his thoughts with.

According to Jim The Mustache Avg Score: 7.98 Total Ratings: 23 Total Reviews: 1 |
Everday Jim and Andy try to impress the delivery girl Alicia, who gives them tipps how to look better. Her latest advice for Jim has been a mustache, but Cheryl isn't at all in favor of Jim's new grown mustache. That's why Cheryl has the idea of dying her hear, but it backfires, because Jim totally loves Cheryl's new hair. After Cheryl and Dana meet Alicia at Jim's workplace, the two find out that all those "cool" ideas come from Alicia. Instantly Dana and Cherly ask Alicia to give Jim and Andy suggestions that secretly come from Cheryl and Dana that will make them look ridiculous.
In my opinion this episode isn't the best of the fourth season, but it is definitely not bad, I would say that this episode has some very good scenes, but nothing that will make you weep for joy. I have to admit that Jim in his kilt and his new grown mustache really has something of Braveheart and Andy as a big fat pumpkin is an image I haven't forgotten since watching the episode for the first time. P.S. Seeing Andy excercise at the beginning, doing sit-ups, is something I thought I would never ever see!! :-)
