    • I'm a father!

      I'm a daddy! Aiden Parker Beutlich was born at 12:03 a.m. on Sunday, September 21. He weighs in at a large and in charge 9 lbs. 9 oz. So far things are going fine. I'm getting a bit less sleep, but he's a really good sleeper. His big mood thing right now is that once he has found a comfortable position, do not move him or he'll let you know it We spent some time watching cartoons on Saturday too.     • First Day of School

      All right! New blog post. As is my usual, nothing Earth shattering, but I do feel it necessary to give an update. Today was the first day of school, and with that I began my 6th year of teaching. I can't believe it has been 6 already, but I guess the saying is true . . . time does fly when you are having fun. For those of you who don't know, I teach 6th, 7th, and 8th grade science. Junior high! I know, you think I'm crazy to lock myself in a room with 30 young adolescents. I started out teaching high school, and I used to think junior high teachers had to be a few marbles short. I guess I'm a few short, because they crack me up! I really should start a funny quote board at home with all the stuff I hear. I have yet to go any day of teaching without laughing really hard at something.... Read more »
