ALCS starts tomorrow!
Gotta say, I'm stoked to see the Red Sox in this one. If they beat Cleveland, they should win the World Series this year. Then again, given what happened last year, who knows? At least the Yankees won't be winning it...

Warm wather..good and bad...
Good thing about summer type weather....makes for great days to be outside.
Bad thing...when it's humid at night, it's brutal to get a good night's sleep...spent half of last night next to my computer figuring out inane things like number of games the Red Sox needs to clinch the division...![]()
Almost level 2...
Pretty close...and what's with the blog posting problems?...sheesh...

Less than two weeks for Opening Day.
This is the best time of year as far as I'm concerned. Spring grass starts appearing, TV shows start heading towards season finales and baseball returns in earnest.
Go Sox!!!!...

This episode was one to remember for so many reasons and starts with what happened at the Immunity Challenge. Jason, who seems totally clueless when it comes to making alliances and such, was determined to win the challenge until he was offered a deal: drop out and he won't be voted out at the next tribal council. If Jason had thought about this for a minute, he might have realized that the offer was a hollow one as it would have meant one of the others would be agreeing to, in essence, vote themselves out. However, either fatigue, naivity or both ruled Jason's mind and he took the bait.
With that, the die seemed cast for an uneventful tribal council but Cirie pounced on the opportunity to remove a block between her and possibly winning the game. Quickly organizing a majority that wouldn't spill the plan to Ozzy, Ozzy, much like James in the China season, was sent packing with a stunned look on his face and an unplayed immunity idol in his pocket.
An amazing episode in so many ways....this is an episode that can be watched again and again (well, unless you're a fan of Ozzy).

This episode started off with the merge of the two tribes and the remaining members sitting down to a feast. It was interesting to see James wolfing down cooked bat, which seemed to repulse a few there.
The rest of the episode quickly showed that Eliza and Jason were next to go at tribal council. With Jason winning indvidual immunity, Eliza's hopes of staying went up in smoke when she saw that what Jason though was the hidden immunity idol was nothing more than a stick of wood. Even with this revelation, Eliza still tried to use it at the council to avoid being voted out but this only resulted in laughter and no change in her fate.
A very good episode with more than a few hints suggesting that Parvati may have overplayed her hand and could regret this as numbers dwindle down.

With the season approaching the usual time for a merge, scrambling for position begins in earnest and this episode showed two people doing just that.
For Erik, he realized he was next to leave the game until he changed things up. To do this, he spilled his guts to Ozzy about all the scheming that has been directed at him before.
For Ami, her scrambling consisted of trying to bond with Cirie and Amanda and saying repeatedly that she was loyal to the alliance. However, at a dramatic tribal council, despite Ami's tearful pleas, Ozzy decided that she couldn't be trusted and Ami headed home.
It was interesting to see Ozzy protest the notion that he was the leader and such yet when he returned from Exile Island, he seems to have made the call as to who gets evicted.
An episode that shows the end game machinations are fully under way for some...good stuff!

Another person left the show this week and the fact that it was Kathy wasn't a huge surprise to this reviewer. However, her words leading up to her hopping on the boat and leaving showed a person who was fairly clueless about the game's conditions. I expected that the " Fans " were going to be well aware of the fact that life can be difficult at times for players but Kathy seemed out of her element five minutes into the episode. Given how she and Chet performed this season, I can imagine there are a few rejected show applicants who are seething at what they saw recently.
Other than that, it still looks like the million dollars is going to be handed to Ozzy in the end unless someone takes a chance and tries a blindside.
A good episode but if Ami had gone through with her plan and it worked, it could have been a classic episode.

I have to say, this episode brings out mixed feelings for me. On one hand, Jonathan's forced exit from the game for health reasons. Regardless of what you think of his game approach, he made for lively watching and he was thinking of what his standing in the game was and so on.
On the other end of the spectrum, we FINALLY saw the end of Chet's time in this season. I'd be hard pressed to think of a weaker (mentally and physically) player in the history of the show. For a person who came in as a "fan" and should have been well aware of what hardships he would face, Chet exhibited cluelessness to the extreme. Even when his allies begged him to join in an attempted blindside of Ozzy, he declined. I noticed in his final words, Chet remarked he was proud to be a member of the Survivor " family "....for other players past and present, I think that would be in name only.
A very solid episode, all in all, in what has been a season that been very good to date.
