If I Worked for ABC Family...

If I worked for ABC Family and controlled the schedule this is what it would be:

11AM Full House
12PM Family Matters
1PM Step By Step
2PM Boy Meets World
3PM Sabrina the Teenage Witch
4PM 8 Simple Rules
5PM 7th Heaven
6PM Everwood
7PM Gilmore Girls
8PM Original Shows

I would take Sister Sister out, bring back Everwood and 7th Heaven (7th Heaven plays only on weekends). I would take away double airings of Gilmore Girls and Full House, I don't care how popular those shows are. I would bring Sabrina back from the morning hours to the afternoon hours where it would get better ratings.
By putting Gilmore Girls at 7PM I would not watch it waiting for a better show to come on (like 7th Heaven before they moved it to just weekends). I know GG is a popular show, but I just don't find it something I enjoy.

Summer Marathon

For ABC Family, I would've done a summer marathon to air during the Memorial Day weekend.  Of course, that marathon would not include Sister Sister and 8 Simple Rules, but since they will appear on the lineup starting June 11, I include them in my Summer Marathon.  The rules are the episodes have to be about vacation type trips, like to beaches or Disney World, not just trips away, like where Carol and Frank in Step by Step always like to go to hotels to get it on and stuff like that.

12:00 PM Full House 3.1 Tanner Island
12:30 PM Full House 6.23 The House Meets the Moust Pt. 1
1:00 PM Full House 6.24 The House Meets the Moust Pt. 2
1:30 PM Family Matters 6.22 We're Going to Disney World Pt. 1
2:00 PM Family Matters 6.23 We're Going to Disney World Pt. 2
2:30 PM Step By Step 2.18 Aloha Pt. 1
3:00 PM Step By Step 2.19 Aloha Pt. 2
3:30 PM Step By Step 5.22 We're Going to Disney World Pt. 1
4:00 PM Step By Step 5.23 We're Going to Disney World Pt. 2
4:30 PM Boy Meets World 3.21 The Happiest Show on Earth
5:00 PM Boy Meets World 7.8 The Honeymooners
5:30 PM Sabrina the Teeage Witch 2.23 Disney World
6:00 PM Sabrina the Teenage Witch 3.25 The Good, the Bad, and the Luau
6:30 PM Sabrina the Teenage Witch 5.17 Beach Blanket Bizarro
7:00 PM Sabrina the Teenage Witch 7.21 What a Witch Wants Pt. 1
7:30 PM Sister Sister 3.9 Thanksgiving in Hawaii Pt. 1
8:00 PM Sister Sister 3.10 Thanksgiving in Hawaii Pt. 2
8:30 PM 8 Simple Rules 1.22 Good Moms Gone Wild

There is an episode of Sabrina where they go on a trip and Sabrina has to buy Soliel Moon Frye's character a present and SMF's character (I get Morgan and Roxy confused) finds her mom there, but I couldn't find the episode in the list.

Father's Day Marathon

I was wondering, what if I was to create a Father's Day Marathon for ABC Family, what would I show?  Well, I was going to use all the sitcoms that air on ABCF, including the two that will be added June 11.  In coming up with episodes that fit the theme of Fathers, I saw a lot of Full House ones, so I decided to create one with just Full House eps as well. Here's the Full House marathon:
1:00 PM 1.1 Our Very First Show
1:30 PM 1.7 Daddy's Home
2:00 PM 3.11 Aftershocks
2:30 PM 4.12 Danny In Charge
3:00 PM 4.21 The Hole-in-the-Wall Gang
3:30 PM 4.25 The Graduates
4:00 PM 5.11 Nicky and/or Alexander
4:30 PM 5.15 Play It Again, Jess
5:00 PM 5.22 The Trouble with Danny
5:30 PM 6.18 Please Don't Touch the Dinosaur
6:00 PM 6.21 Room For One More
6:30 PM 7.4 Tough Love
7:00 PM 7.7 High Anxiety
7:30 PM 7.12 Support Your Local Parents

All the shows:
8:00 AM Full House 4.12 Danny In Charge
8:30 AM Full House 5.11 Nicky and/or Alexander
9:00 AM Full House 5.15 Play It Again, Jess
9:30 AM Full House 7.12 Support Your Local Parents
10:00 AM Family Matters 1.6 Basketball Blues
10:30 AM Family Matters 2.15 Son
11:00 AM Family Matters 4.2 Hot Wheels
11:30 AM Family Matters 4.24 Buds 'n' Buns
12:00 PM Step By Step 1.5 Frank and Son
12:30 PM Step By Step 2.21 The Un-Natural
1:00 PM Step By Step 3.22 Great Expectations
1:30 PM Step By Step 5.13 Beautiful Ladies of Wresting
2:00 PM Boy Meets World 1.3 Father Knows Less
2:30 PM Boy Meets World 4.6 Janitor Dad
3:00 PM Boy Meets World 5.12 Raging Cory
3:30 PM Boy Meets World 6.13 We'll Have a Good Time Then
4:00 PM Boy Meets World 7.3 Angela's Men
4:30 PM Sabrina the Teenage Witch 1.20 Meeting Dad's Girlfriend
5:00 PM Sabrina the Teenage Witch 4.1 No Place Like Home
5:30 PM Grounded For Life 4.1 Your Father Should Know Pt. 1
6:00 PM Grounded For Life 4.2 Your Father Should Know Pt. 2
6:30 PM Sister Sister 2.2 Get a Job
7:00 PM Sister Sister 6.15 Father's Day
7:30 PM 8 Simple Rules 1.1 Pilot
8:00 PM 8 Simple Rules 1.8 By the Book
8:30 PM 8 Simple Rules 1.23 Career Woman

I think that would be cool.  I'd watch.

The Wonder Years

http://www.sitcomsonline.com/blog/2007/03/ion-televison-april-schedule-sees-alice.html

Thursday, March 15, 2007

ION Television will launch its new schedule on Monday, April 2 with
the additions of sitcoms Alice and The Wonder Years to the weekday
line-up. Closing the ION line-up at 10 p.m. EST will be back-to-back
episodes of the popular sitcom The Wonder Years.

I love this show. I'm so glad they're bringing it back next month.  I am going to try to tape every episode.  I'm going to do this with Boy Meets World as well.  Well, actually with BMW, I'm going to buy the DVDs for seasons 1-3 and then I'm going to try to download as many episodes of seasons 4-7 that I can find on the internet.  I prefer Disney Channel or original ABC episodes, but will take what I can get.  For what I can't find, I will tape off TV.  One day I'll get a program where I can transfer shows to my computer and then burn a CD-R or DVD (depends if I have a program to burn DVDs, I currently don't) so I will always have the episodes.  These are two shows that I don't want to lose.

Where Does Cory...

I'm watching the episode "Friendly Persuasion" of Boy Meets World.  Cory has recently moved into the dorms at Pennbroke and is afraid to use the co-ed bathroom.  This lasts for at the very least a day (but I believe it lasts longer than that).  OK, my question is WHERE DOES CORY USE THE BATHROOM IN ALL THAT TIME?

I am a fan of Jennie Garth, but not in this show! This show is too corny, too cheesy, too cliche, too boring! You know what's going to happen before it happens. I find myself rolling my eyes more during this show than I ever have in my life. The jokes aren't funny. The acting isn't funny or good. This show is a waste of time! How it lasted four years I don't even know. The whole Vince and Holly thing is played out! Everything they do is so cliche and so already done a million times. Nothing on this show is realistic! How did Val afford her apartment for a year when her business went way south? How can she keep her bakery afloat when there seems to be almost no customers and everything is boring?

Kerry is jealous of Bridget for Bridget can do no wrong. Videotaping Bridget, Kerry shows Bridget as shallow. Not liking this label, Bridget attempts to do something about and goes to play tennis with her dad, who ends up breaking her nose. The shallow part of Bridget shines as she lets it be known she does not want to go to school this way. After a talk with her father, she goes to school anyway to learn that guys like her no matter what. This breaks Kerry. She did all this great work and Bridget was the one who ended up with something. Only, she finds out she's wrong when a guy who watched the video wants to talk to her.

It's a great episode displaying a great message. First, it shows that beauty is on the inside and that if you do the hard work you will reap the reward.

One thing I did not understand is throughout the video Kerry showed some guy handing Bridget the homework he did for her in exchange for a digit of her telephone number, but her parents did nothing! Do they think their daughter is that dumb that the only way she can get by is if someone else does her work?

Jason Marsden
Avg Score: 7.68    Total Ratings: 100    Total Reviews: 12
I have not seen all or most of Jason's work, but what I have seen I like. I first saw him on Boy Meets World. Well, to be honest, I probably first saw him on Full House, but he was only on there for three episodes and I don't remember it (in original run), so I'll go with BMW. Anyway, I first saw him on Boy Meets World. He was great. He was funny. I was upset when he left Boy Meets World, but then he landed a role on Step by Step and it worked. He's a funny guy and he plays those roles so well. Its as if the roles he's played, Jason on Boy Meets World and Rich on Step by Step were tailored for him. I don't think anyone else would've brought justice to those roles.
He's great with voice over roles. I've heard him on Gummi Bears; as Max (on many Disney shows/movies), Goofy's son; and my favorite as Tino on the Weekenders. He's really got a great voice and a great attitude for voice over work.

Mr. Egghead
Avg Score: 8.70    Total Ratings: 47    Total Reviews: 6
Stephanie's having a very good week. First, she gets to go see a taping of the Mr. Egghead show, which Joey is auditioning for, then it's class pictures, and of course, Pizza Day!
Danny gets a ticket. Oh, no, a blemish on his record! He has to go to court and DJ is his witness. While pleading his case, his meter runs out! Bad luck, bad luck, bad luck!
Jesse does the music for Mr. Egghead. Why? Why not.
I like that the kids in the audience of the Mr. Egghead show wear egg caps. I think it's funny that a kid in Stephanie's class would know that the old Mr. Egghead was gone because he didn't pay his taxes. Of course, it's Walter. I like the running joke when a family member gets to be on TV how it's so cool, because finally someone in the family is on TV or in this case has his own show. This is always said either to or in front of Danny. Joey picks Stephanie to help with his energy experiment (I mean, Mr. Egghead's experiment). All the kids cry "Fix" and Jesse starts playing it on the keyboard to the tune of "Charge!"
When Stephanie gets bonked on her nose by Mr. Egghead's experiment, it doesn't actually hit her on the nose. Rather, it hits her on the chin. But, for the sake of a TV show, we'll say it broke her nose. Stephanie was OK with it until she realized her broken nose would be in the class picture. Noses heal fast. The doctor says Steph will be as good as new in a week.
Stephanie skips school so she won't be in the picture. Is not being in the picture better than being in it with a broken nose? Michelle makes her a peanut butter and jelly sandwich and a mess. Jesse forces her to go to school.
If I was Stephanie, since there appeared to be no bruising, I would have at least asked if I could take the brace off my nose when they took the picture.
I like how Joey makes Stephanie feel better by having the class wear Groucho Marx glasses. They take the first picture with the glasses on and then take a serious picture, which Stephanie is OK with showing off her broken nose.
All in all, it was a good episode teaching that you should not be ashamed of what you look like. The theme of the episode: Bad Luck!

7th Heaven
Drunk
Avg Score: 9.02    Total Ratings: 45    Total Reviews: 4
In this episode, Simon wants to go to a party put on by the cool kids. Annie is afraid to let him go, but Simon's friend gives her his word that he would watch Simon at the party. Simon does not want to drink alcohol so the cool kids, wanting to do a number on Simon, let him drink the punch, which of course, was spiked. Guess what happens to Simon? He ends up drunk.
I liked this episode, but it was very predictable. I like that the siblings looked out for Simon and didn't want to get him in trouble. It's typical for them to look out for each other like that. I liked when they were in the bathroom, Annie was talking to Matt and Lucy & Mary kept incriminating themselves by speaking up.
I don't really like how the show ended with Simon's friend coming back to tell Annie and Eric what happened. He claimed he couldn't go on because he promised Annie he would look out for Simon. I just don't buy that a guy like that would do that. It does show how well-respected Annie is and how she can garner that.
