The King of Queens Pregnant Pause (2) Avg Score: 7.89 Total Ratings: 31 Total Reviews: 2 Users who agree: 2 |
Arthur is driving Doug and Carrie nuts because of all the time he spends in their bathroom. They decide to use the little money they have set aside for a downstairs bathroom. Meanwhile,Carrie hasn't been feeling well at all lately and discovers she is pregnant. At first , doug and carrie are both very depressed about it, because they struggle financially as it is, and Arthur is huge handful and a baby is totally not convenient right now(are they ever?) Carrie , is also worried about the fact that she just isn't very good with kids.
Eventually, they decide to go look at baby furniture, Doug gets a part - job to save money up so they can prepare for their new addition. Everything seems to be going a little better, when Doug comes home from his job(s) one day to find Carrie in bed looking like she has been crying all day. She miscarried. ..... This episode made me cry because this a side you don't see much on tv. I love how Doug and Carrie are both very weird, funny people.

Everybody Loves Raymond The Angry Family Avg Score: 9.11 Total Ratings: 57 Total Reviews: 2 |
Jeffrey , Ray Debra's little boy drew a picture book at school of his family. In it he talks about how Frank and Marie cause alot of drama and marital problems for his parents and he wishes it would stop. The teacher and the headmaster of the school are so stunned about the content of Jeffrey's litle book, that the teach amkes an emergency appointment to speak with Ray and Debra. The Teacher begins to shift all of the blame on Debra. Debra finally utters these immortal lines "Eileen, you have no idea what I have to put up with. When I got married, I didn't just get a husband. I got a whole freak show that set up their tent right across the street. And that would be fine if they stayed there, but everyday, every day, they dump a truckload of their insane family dreck into my lap. How would you like to sit through 2 people in their 60's fighting over who invented the lawn? The LAWN! And then the brother, "I live in an apartment. I don't even have a lawn. Raymond has a lawn." But you can't blame him when you see who the mother is. She has this kind of sick hold on the both of them. And the father is about as disgusting a creature as God has ever dropped on this planet. So no wonder the kid writes stories. I should be writing stories. My life is a gothic novel, and until you have lived in that house with all of them in there with you, day after day, week after, year after friggin' year, you are in no place to judge me!!!"(the look on the teacher's face is sidesplitting. this causes the headmaster to haul the whole family in for family counseling.
During this meeting, Robert blames ray, Marie blames Debra,
and Frank and Marie star fighting over her invented the lawn .... again.Ray sits there and tries to pretend nothing is happening.Debra looks she is gonna have a nervous breakdown, poor thing. The the headmaster asks frank what he thinks and Franks opens his mouth and says, you wanna know the real problem, and he points at Debra, and says (MARIE)is mad because ray married Debra and can't let anyone live that down. After this the priest says that instead of pointing the finger they should read the book and realize how much the yelling affects the kids.
I think this a sad episode. I dunno if adults how much fighting daily does to the pyshce of any person. And i hate how everyone say debra is a mean spiteful witch She yells alot , but she has alot on her plate, and the fact that she hasn't left yet suprises me(Ray would totally fall apart if she left). And Ray really needs a kick in the pants once in a while, since his mother spoiled him so much.I like that she is a housewife and she is active at the kid's school.

I cannot believe I am the first person to write a review for this particular episode. This is probably one of the best ones.
Hyacinth is getting all new living room furniture. She is super excited that they are coming over when Mrs. Barker-Finch at 23 is home.(She hates her for a lot of petty reasons)
She even makes poor Richard go out and put parking signs up for the furniture movers.
She spemds the whole morning on the phone bvragging about how expensive her furniture is and that the moving people have the cute little crown on the side of the van.
At the same time, Hyacinth calls to let them know that she is getting rid of her old furniture and she come and take it.
Her family shows up the same the movers do, and she has Richard pay them to go around the block a few times until she can get rid of them.
To her horror, the delivery breaks down, and Onslow offers to help load the furniture in his beat up raggedy bright green truck.
She is completely mortified beacause she invited Elizabeth & Mrs.Barker Finch over so she could show off her furniture and the moving people cool little crown on the van.
It probably sounds boring, words cant's describe it quie right.
Again I think this show is where the writers fpr Everbody Loves Raymond gleaned alot of their material- Watched them and compare.....

Keeping Up Appearances The Christening Avg Score: 8.72 Total Ratings: 23 Total Reviews: 1 |
Onslow's and Daisy's Daughter, Stephanie is having little girl christened. Hyacinth is annoyed that Stephanie is unmarried and that she named her child Kyliegh(Hyacinth thinks Kyliegh sounds too much like a fruit).
Richard tells her she should be happy that Stephanie is having the child christened.
Meanwhile at Daisy's, everybody is trying all dolled up for
the big day. Onslow is in a suit.( An old one, but it looks very nice on him.)(Daisy is in nice dress , trying finish curling her hair.)
Finally when everybody gets to the church, everyone is already there, except Stephanie & Family. The vicar gets a phone call from her, stating that their van has broken down very close to the church and they need a ride.
Richard and Hyacinth volunteer to go look for them and soon spot a huge dirty with two hot skinny ,long-haired blonde guys wearing rippy pants and plaid shirts.Hyacinth wants to keep goin, but soon realizes that is Stephanie and family. Richard helps the two guys fix the van, but then R AND H'S
car conks out so they have to ride with Stephanie and the guys who are both Stephanie boyfriends.(She's not sure who is the father and fools around with both of them.) I like the actress who played Stephanie looked like a younger ,thinner version of Daisy and had beautiful ,curly brown hair.)
They finally get to the church and the baby is christened.
Hyacinth is in a sour mood the rest of the day, because she had to ride in a van with people who she finds very beneath her. Personally, I think Hyacinth is jealous that Onslow and Daisy are grandparents and deep down she knows Sheridan will never have a wife and kids.)
This episode kind of reminded me of Everybody Loves Raymond in the way that they could take such a simple thing and make it so realistic and funny at the same time.

Sex and the City An American Girl in Paris (part deux) Avg Score: 9.37 Total Ratings: 163 Total Reviews: 18 Users who agree: 1 Users who disagree: 3 |
I was totally dissapointed that Carrie left Paris after 2 weeks because THERUSSIAN can\\\'t be with 24/ 7. Yes he can be controlling and a little rude sometimes, but Carries needs to grow up.. The Russian is a complex man, who love her deeply and helps her grow as her person... putting her with mr big makes it look like she learned nothing... I still love thes how, but absolutley hated this episode...
All the other character's grew up and learned something except Carrie....Helloooooooo.Big hurts you over and over and over- the Russian does a few dumb things and you can't take it.... Stupid stupid stupid stupid. Take some french classes....
