Quantas Airline - actual 'gripe sheet' from pilots to mechanics...too funny!!
After every flight, Quantas pilots fill out a form, called a "gripe sheet," which tells mechanics about problems with the aircraft. The mechanics correct the problems, document their repairs on the form, and then pilots review the gripe sheets before the next flight.
Never let it be said that ground crews lack a sense of humour. Here are some actual maintenance complaints submitted by Quantas' pilots and the solutions recorded by maintenance engineers.
By the way, Quantas is the only major airline that has never had an accident.
(P = The problem logged by the pilot.)
(S = The solution and action taken by mechanics.)
P: Left inside main tire almost needs replacement.
S: Almost replaced left inside main tire.
P: Test flight OK, except auto-land very rough.
S: Auto-land not installed on this aircraft.
P: Something loose in cockpit.
S: Something tightened in cockpit.
P: Dead bugs on windshield.
S: Live bugs on back-order.
P: Autopilot in altitude-hold mode produces a 200 feet per minute descent.
S: Cannot reproduce problem on ground.
P: Evidence of leak on right main landing gear.
S: Evidence removed.
P: DME volume unbelievably loud.
S: DME volume set to more believable level.
P: Friction locks cause throttle levers to stick.
S: That's what they're for.
P: IFF inoperative.
S: IFF always inoperative in OFF mode.
P: Suspected crack in windshield.
S: Suspect you're right.
P: Number 3 engine missing.
S: Engine found on right wing after brief search.
P: Aircraft handles funny.
S: Aircraft warned to straighten up, fly right, and be serious.
P: Target radar hums.
S: Reprogrammed target radar with lyrics.
P: Mouse in cockpit.
S: Cat installed.
P: Noise coming from under instrument panel. Sounds like a midget pounding on something with a hammer.
S: Took hammer away from midget

TV now-a-days...
I have a habit of memorizing quotes from tv shows or movies. Not to be a copy cat but because what ever what was said means something to me. It might be a new proverb, a message that has a special meaning or I simply love the way it sounds. I could say, "People watch too much TV now-a-days and these shows are superficial and useless!" But you know what? That's not true. There are shows out there now that are digging deeper into the souls of humanity and teach us a little something about ourselves or even beliefs that we didn't even know we had or help us open our eyes to the world around us for those who pay attention. I'm hurt and terribly upset to see that "Joan of Arcadia" has ended. That show was amazing! It had a great cast, wonderful stories and witty punch lines...so many lessons in one episode! I'm going to miss it, A LOT! You'll probably see quite a bit of quotes from the show that I'll put up. But just remember, I put them up because they mean something.

Orlando Bloom Avg Score: 9.38 Total Ratings: 339 Total Reviews: 38 Users who agree: 1 |
Born on January 13th 1977 in Canterbury, England, Orlando Bloom's plans of becoming an actor developed quite early when he realized that the characters on TV and in the movies weren't real, that they were actors. "Once I realized that I could be Superman or I could be The Hustler or I could be Daniel Day Lewis's character in The Last Of The Mohicans - I was like, "Man, I can become an actor and be all of those things." In 1993, he moved to London to improve his career, doing bit parts in TV series like "Casualty". Orlando spent two years at the National Youth Theatre before getting a scholarship to train with the British American Drama Academy. His first memorable appearance, a cameo in the critically acclaimed movie Wilde in 1997, earned him various film offers, which he all turned down in favor to play theatre. After Wilde, Orlando attended the Guildhall School of Music and Drama for 3 years. On stage, he appeared in plays like "The Seagull", "Twelfth Night", and "Trojan Women". Peter Jackson then "discovered" the classically handsome Bloom for his much hyped Lord Of The Rings trilogy in 1999. After doing the three Rings movies with Jackson, he worked with Ridley Scott on Black Hawk Down. Since then, he has been working on new projects non-stop. 2003 saw the release of The Kelly Gang, Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl, and The Return of the King. In 2004, Troy and The Calcium Kid were released. Also, in 2004 he began filming his first starring role in a major production, Kingdom of Heaven, again with Ridley Scott. He also filmed Elizabethtown by director Cameron Crowe, playing the lead role Drew Baylor. Both movies are due out in the Summer of 2005. The indie film Haven made it's debute at the 2004 Toronto Film Festival. Orlando both starrred in and co-produced the film. A sequel to Pirates of the Caribbean titled Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest will start filming in March 2005 with a release date in Summer 2006. When he's not working, Orlando divides his time between London and Los Angeles.
