RIP Heath Ledger

Heath Ledger was found dead in his apartment in New York Cityearly this morning. It was reported that a masseuse knocked on the door for an appointment withhim, but when no one answered, a housekeeper opened the door and found him unconscious. They shook him but when he did not respond, they called the authorities. No foul play is suspected. They found pills near his body.

Heath was 28 years old and leaves behind a 2 years old daughter, Matilda Rose.

HEATH LEDGER
1979 - 2008

Heath was one of my most favorite actors and it's so sad to hear what happened to him. I was devastated whenI heard the news and I didn't even believe that something like this could happen to a man like Heath. I will miss him dearly and my condolences to him family.

For Almost 100 Years My School Was Home To A $1.5 Million Painting. Go Figure..

Status:
Rank: A-Teamer
Level: 47
Percentage: 43%

Last week my school sent home a letter talking about all the valuable paintings the school board had just discovered laying around in their schools. One of the most valuable being the one found at my school.

A board member realized that some of the schoolsin my district had some very lovely looking paintings, so he decided to look into it to see what they wereworth. Turns out some of them were worth millions of dollars. They combed all the schools looking for vaulable painting and then they stumbled into my school where they found a painting, about the size of 2 (8.5" x 11") sheets of paper in the Principal's Office.

The painting was merely propped up against the wall on top of a drawer and was painted by one of the members of the Group of Seven, a famous group of painters from Canada, named Tom Thomson.

The story of how our school came in possession of the painting says that a teacher from the school had bought itfrom Tom Thomson while he was travelling in Algonquin Park and donated to the school. Long behold 2007 comes strolling around the painting ends up being worth $1.5 - $2.0 million dollars. Another big find was in a school auditorium. It turns out the walls were lined with paintings from a famous painter and added all together, the paintings are worth $5 - $10 million dollars.

However, these paintings have since been removed and have been placed in an air tight, high security vault until they find out what they want to do with it.

8 Episode Season of 'Lost'? *Tear*

Status:
Rank: Lothar of the Hill People
Level: 46
Percentage: 79%

In the wake of the Writers Guild of America (WGA) strike, I have learned that Lost may be reduced to 8 episodes! This is terrible news considering they've already reduced it to, if I can remember correctly, about 12 episodes. I thought this would all blow over in a few weeks and that most shows wouldn't have suffered too muchbecause they already have 4 or 5 episodes on hand. But I also learned today that the last strike WGA strike in 1988 lasted 22 WEEKS!

Although I will miss my shows, I do support the WGA strike. I always thought that writers never got a large enough piece of the pie. Without writers, there would be no show. With terrible writing, there would be no show. Shows depend so much on writers, but they treat them like !@#$.

Networks should give them what they want because they work so hard and don't get enough credit as is. Besides they make so much profit from DVD sales anyways that it should only be fair.

Eight episodes doesn't even constitute as a season.

NEW GUIDES:

James Lafferty: One Tree Hill

Poppy Montgomery: Without A Trace

Tyson Beckford: Male Supermodel

Superman, Darth Vader, and the Grinch! My Oh My!

Status:
Rank: Lothar of the Hill People
Level: 46
Percentage: 29%

I've been busily study for tests and doing homework that I have not had much time to come on to TV.com. However, I have managed to receive 3 new guides this week after a user retired from them.

This week I became the editor for Brandon Routh (Superman in Superman Returns), Hayden Christensen (Darth Vader/Anakin Skywalker in Star Wars), and Jim Carrey (Grinch in How the Grinch Stole Christmas).

Chuck is the best new series on television this season. Honestly, what's not to like about this show? It has just about everything you ever want in a series.

I really wanted to watch Chuck when I saw the previews during the summer but I decided to pass after I saw it was head to head against Prison Break. Luckily, Prison Break got boring and bland for me and I decided to switch over to Chuck. I instantly fell in love with this show and I haven't looked back since.

Zachary Levi (Chuck) plays a very convincing 'nerd' and his absolutely hilarious. Yvonne Strahovski (Sarah) plays a fantastic CIA agent and is a rare find. Her combination of beauty and acting really makes the show that much more interesting. Adam Baldwin (Casey) is just fantastic. If he were my neighbor I'd p*ss him off just to see what would happen.

If you haven't watched Chuck yet, I would highly recommend this show. If you're only going to watch one show this season, watch Chuck. I use to dread Mondays, but because of Chuck, I now look forwards to Mondays.

The Best Years
Avg Score: 8.83    Total Ratings: 303    Total Reviews: 23
The first time I watched this show, I thought... "Okay, Sam doesn't have a meal plan... That's the best drama this show could stir up?! Surely the creator of Degrassi must have put no effort into this show what so ever..." But then when John died it started to get interesting. I really liked the brewing Sam/Devon relationship and I was looking forward to seeing what would happen. Then, I missed an episode and I found that I couldn't help myself and I just had to watch the episode I missed on that channel's site. It got better and better each week. Now it's to a point where it's become one of my favorite shows of the 2007 season. The characters are interesting, the storylines are interesting, and I just can't help but watch. I thought this show was going to be a disaster, but I've seen many people who have had a change of heart, just like I did. I've seen the show's Show Score slowly creep from 5.4 all the way to 9.0. There is no doubt that this show has something and I hope it comes back for a second season.

Bryce Johnson

I loved watching "Popular" and I really miss watching it. It was a great show and its actors and actresses were really good at what they did. One of my favorites were Vryce Johnson..

Bryce played the extremely handsome jock named Josh Ford. I thought Bryce would have had a huge film career but he just disappered after "Popular" finished. He has been in some TV shows and movies, but they haven't been any huge roles. I think he has the potential to make it big.

Bryce is a really good actor and is really good looking. He has that boyish charm that I thought would make him a star but he hasn't found that particular role yet. When he does, I can tell that Bryce won't have just 15 minutes of fame, but years to come.

Jonathan Rhys Meyers
Avg Score: 9.43    Total Ratings: 96    Total Reviews: 3
I love Jonathan Rhys Meyers! He was really amazing in 'Elvis' and he really looked and acted like Elvis. That was the first time I'd seen his work and I just fell in love... But it's his performance in the Showtime mini-series, 'The Tudors,' that I love the most.

He plays a really good King Henry VIII and I'm hooked on the show. I love his accent and his acting is superb. Whenever I see him on the screen, I can't help but look. He's just too gorgeous not to.

I think he's the next Brad Pitt and if you haven't seen 'Elvis' or 'The Tudors,' I would highly recommend it. It's fantastic.

Brooke was my most favorite contestant on 'America's Next Top Model' to this day (with CariDee English (cycle 7 winner) coming in at a close second).

Her bubbly personality made her such a joy to watch. When she did the "Celebrity Photoshoot" and she had to be Kevin Federline, that was so funny! She started acting like him, it was awesome. Her Britney Spears was dead on and she had to hold the python/boa (not sure which one) to boot. She did a great job on that photo.

She was my pick to win 'America's Next Top Model' and I don't blame her for having a bad picture when she did the "Romance Novel" photo shoot. It was a really hard one. I'd have a hard time trying to make a model-esk picture while holding Fabio's giant leg too.

She was one of the prettiest girls on cycle 7 and I was really sad when she was eliminated. It made it even worse when she was eliminated on the day of her graduation.

None the less, I think she will make a wonderful model and I can only see great things for her in the future.
