Alyson isn’t only cute she can act…OMG can she act! Joss Whedon was so right when he said Alyson could have been a Silent Movie Star in his “Hush” Commentary . She has the most expressive eyes and face I have ever seen. She also has an aura and presence about her that I can’t explain or describe…she commands your attention. There is a pureness about her and she never has to force anything, it all seems to just flow out of her. Alyson never looks like she is “acting” or “reciting lines” as even the most popular/successful in Hollywood sometimes do.

You can’t tell me that when she cries in BtVS your heart doesn’t just melt. No other actor I have seen cries more convincingly than Alyson Hannigan. Crying is a true test of ones acting ability and something you can’t fake, like smiling or laughing. No one comes close to Alyson when it comes to crying.

And her smile…don’t get me started on that! lol

She isn’t beautiful in the Hollywood sense…Aka Blonde, Tanned, Freckle Free with impossible perfect blemish free skin and with huge…erm assets. But she makes up for that and surpasses those with the aforementioned, with here sheer expressiveness and believability. Unfortunately she has been all but overlooked (to their and everyone’s loss) by Hollywood as “Leading Lady Material”. Sure she has had parts in American Pie and Date Movie but they don’t do her talent justice whatsoever. Yes she is in “How I Met Your Mother” and it is great to see her regularly on TV but I would also love to see her making blockbuster movies and getting the kudos she deservers. Alyson has more acting ability in one eyebrow than Nicole Kidman, Reese Witherspoon, Renee Zellweger, Drew Barrymore, Cameron Diaz, Halle Berry, Charlize Theron, Angelina Jolie, Kirsten Dunst and Jennifer Aniston (highest-paid women actors of 2006) put together!! It is time Hollywood took notice of the once in a generation talent that is Alyson Hannigan!

I have tried numerous times to watch this show and work out why so many people watch it and find it so appealing. I can't.

I watched the first few episodes and was a little confused at what it was trying to be...was it trying to be a comedy or a drama? Cause it was failing miserably on both accounts...and then I saw the adverts for it here (Australia) touting it as the "Worlds Most Loved Drama". Now that got a laugh from me, my first.

None of the characters are remotely engaging or appealing and neither are the actors (With the exception of Katherine Heigl who I love. She is doing the best she can with what she is given here.) I was never drawn into the stories and I certainly never connected with anyone or cared what happened to them. When they got hurt, I didn't feel their hurt.

"McDreamy" should be renamed "McSmarmy". I wish someone would smack that smirk right off his face! He has has as much charm as a plank of wood.

All the romances between the characters have as much spark as a wet blanket. I just don't see any chemistry between the actors at all. They really do look like they are acting...and labouring at that.

Maybe my failing to find this show appealing is that I am not a single "20 something" or "30 something" woman.

It baffles me that people watch this insipid show. I really have tried to get into it but it eludes me.

Time to change the channel and watch how a medical drama should be done...go watch "House", you will thank me for it.

She destroyed Willow and she destroyed BtVS.

Actually no character escaped a flaying from Marti Noxon's (or should I say Noxious) Pen.

In nearly every Episode she wrote she either tore the heart out of the characters/took them to places we didnt want them to go/made them have some emotional breakdown/have them do some completely out of character action(i.e sleeping with another person) and then she left them as crumpled emotional wrecks. I can barely force myself to rewatch the episodes she wrote because the characters are no longer being true to who they are. BtVs would have been an even better show had Marti's Noxious Pen not been involved.

PS I didnt want to put in a "Classification" but I had to. "Overused" seemed the best fit even though I wanted to put "Talentless" or "Worst Thing to Happen"
