Exams are FINALLY over...
... and, as promised, I'm back!
My exams went well, won't know the results until 16th July, but I don't think I f*cked up that much. Missed talking to you guys a lot.
Anyway, pretty much all I needed to say. I'll blog again when I actually have something half-decent to say ![]()
29th May

I'm currently doing my orals but my written exams start on the 28th of this month. My last exam is on the 29th of May so I think that's the soonest I will be able to talk to you guys. I promise I'll be here on 29th or 30th May. Talk to you guys then.
Love,
John

Well, well... it had to happen! Cycle 10 of America's Next Top Model finally eliminated a girl who actually HAD potential
And here I thought this cycle would go back to how it was in the "kinda okay" Janice years. I hate how Tyra actually thinks of herself as a Kate Moss/Helena Christensen/Christy Turlington type. I also hate how Tyra picks fugly/old looking girls with bad bodies evey year (Dominique anyone!?) and some girls are only kept in the show to cause drama and not to model ( this cycle's Fug-tima). I mean honestly, none of these girls are gonna become Jessica Stam, largely because of the 18+ age limit of the show. That's, in true honesty, a little to late in life to be starting. They should do what they did on the Australian version and lower it to 16. Also, the 26 maximum age is just ridiculous. That's too old to be starting (Robin, Jade) anhd should, just like the Aussie version agian, be lowered to 22. Tyra, a zoo-keeper is looking for you.
Please Don't Feed ME Either ![]()
From America's Next Top "Model" to myself... and still modeling. So me with my 6'2" body and 30" waist, has inspirations to work all the European runways, editorials, covers and ads. I'd really like to become a male supermodel along the lines of Mark Vanderloo and Will Chalker. I really think I have a versatile face (I can make it look edgy and commercial) and I'm working on my body (I used to have a 32" inch waist until about 3 or 4 months ago) and, THANKFULLY, male models today, particularly here in Europe, whilst still toned, are not as buff as they were in the '80s and '90s which works out fine with me cause I HATE the gym. I love running and doing crunches but I loathe lifting weights. Plus, the whole uber-muscular machismo look disgusts me so, you know, win-win situation. I'm not naive, I know it's gonna be SO tough, but I know I can handle it.
The Right To Love
The political/Social issue of this blog continues from last blog: LGBT rights. Today, I'm taking a more general view of the world as opposed to just my country but with a focuson Christianity. I do not understand how even in 2008, governemnts refuse to act when backward cultures execute people for who they love. Moreover, I cannot understand why two men who love each other deeply, or two women who love each other deeply, cannot get married, whilst a man and a woman can get married as a joke and then divorce the following day. Devout Christians say that gay marriage will destroy whatmarriage is supposed to mean. Which of those two scenarios is more destructive to you guys? And then, don't let me get started on the "they can change" bull. Scientists have found SO many proofs that it is biological and yet they go on sticking their Jurrasic Era Holy Books Of Turds in people's faces. The Bible says that if a woman commits adultery she should be publically stoned to death. Do Christians condone that? I think it's the most "pick and choose" religion that exists and some of their arguments are so unbelievable. And it's pretty obvious why they hate homosexuality. [WARNING: conspiracy theory ahead] It's because two men and two women cannot have any children of their own (unless they fork out a ton of money for in vitro and find a surrogate or sperm donor) and so most just adopt. Therefore, there aren't that many new lives coming into the world from LGBT people and the Church needs a ton of people to be born so that it can lead a huge army in a crusade against anything Semitic in the future. Add that to the fact that the Church hates contraceptives and abortion and it starts to all make sense. (My mom's theory, not mine, but it DOES make sense).
Anyhow, hope you enjoyed this blog.
Peace and love,
John

Sex With Which Sex?
As a way of making my phoenix-rising-from-the-ashes return to tv.com more meaningful, I plan to keep my promise to blog 3-4 times per week. My new blog style will feature a eye-catching title relating to one of the three issues in my blog. Each blog will have three issues: a TV one, a personal one, and a political/social one. So with that,, prepare for the first of many.
How Britney Met Her Mother
My favorite little popu-wreck sweetheart made her umpteenth comeback last night on How I Met Your Mother and it was good, albeit not as great as her Will & Grace appearance. I liked her
hair and she looked gorgeous. Hopefully, Brit Brit will soon be back to what she used to be i.e. sporting a flesh-colored outfit with an albino snake and Madonna's tongue as accessories. She's making progress so let's just keep our fingers crossed that Papa Spears retains conservatorship and Adnan Ghalib falls down a well or something (are there wells in LA?).
Sex With Which Sex?
Straight. Bi. Gay Honestly, the only orientation I have not called myself is lesbian! I'll try that next Tuesday
! Whilst, I'm still a 15-year-old virgin (yes, such things DO exist) I'm 100% sure that I'm not straight or bi. I'm a take-it-up-the-a**, suck-the-guy-dry, then-take-it-up-there-AGAIN, proud gay guy. Months ago, pre-personal-hiatus, I wrote that I was bi, but I realized that my feelings for girls were never sexual. They were just emotional ones with best girl pals! My family doesn't know yet but I'm working on that. My friends know, kids at school know, some teachers know (the kids in my school talk a lot) and even some total strangers. But hey, whatever! I'm proud of the fact that I can take care of my "needs" (if you know what I mean) by thinking about a threesome with Jake Gyllenhaal and Wentworth Miller, I'm proud that I belong to such the diverse culture which the LGBT one is, and proud that I'm in the minority - it makes me more individual!
And Whilst We're On The Subject...
...the political/social issue today will be LGBT rights. I may come off as the kinda guy who after losing his virgiity will be limited to mostly one-night stands but I'd love to be able to settle down with somebody one day, and, more importantly, give a kid a happy home. That, my friends, will involve me leaving my socially conservative country for greener pastures. It also brings me to making a very hard personal decision. Here in Malta we have two major parties like in the US: the Nationalists and the Laborites. I've been raised a Nationalist and I'm proud of that as it is the party that secured our entry into the EU. But when it comes to the issues of my people (here I'm referring to the LGBT community) it is not accepting at all. Oneof our Members of the European Parliament, Simon Busuttil, voted against a bill that would make every country in the EU have to add hate crimes committed against sexual orientation to the list of illegal criminal offences. The Labor party has just lost its third election in a row so their son of a b*tch leader has resigned. One of the potential candidates is this really good man, George Abela, who happens to be the father of my dad's lawyer. With these events, I'm probably gonna switch party (if this man, George Abela, is chosen as the Labor Party's leader that is) and join the Laborites as most gay people here have.
On my next blog, you can expect America's Next Top Model, my wish of becoming a male supermodel, and more LGBT rights talk. I hope you enjoyed this blog. Feel free to leave a comment.
Peace and love,
John

Guess Who's Back!!!
Ah, the prodigal son returns. Missed me? Cos God, I missed you shiny happy people. It's been like a year. I'm not really sure WHY I left. I think there was a lot going on in my life both on and off the site and I needed a breather. Then, when I finally got over my meltdown (which, trust me, makes Britney seem NORMAL) I had kinda this routine in my life and tv.com never really fit in it. But I'm back now and if you guys will give me the chance, it would be so great to be friends again. I never stopped thinking about all of ya!
Love ya,
John.
P.S. I promise I'll start blogging AT LEAST 3 or 4 times a week, OK? Talk to you guys tomorrow!

Shannen Doherty Avg Score: 9.03 Total Ratings: 501 Total Reviews: 50 Users who agree: 2 Users who disagree: 6 |
Fired from both "90210" and "Charmed" due to, as claimed, fights with Jennie Garth and Tori Spelling, and Alyssa Milano respectively, Doherty has become one of the media's targets for antics news. But the way I see it, both "Beverly Hills" and "Charmed" began to go downhill in terms of both quality and ratings shortly after Doherty left. Coincedince? I don't think so. Both cast and crew on "Charmed" have said that some of the recent, light episodes, which are considered mindless by the fans, are based on ideas that Shannen rejected back in the old days, due to the fact that she owned a percentage of the show.
Shannen's acting talent is extraordinary which was one of the things which truly hurt "Charmed" when they sacked her and kept Alyssa Milano. Milano's unnecessary soft-porn scenes and weak acting is what eventually made me tune out of the show.
Amazingly beautiful, undeniably talented, Shannen Doherty is truly one of the best stars to grace our small screens.

Alyssa Milano Avg Score: 9.48 Total Ratings: 874 Total Reviews: 78 Users who agree: 2 Users who disagree: 8 |
She is way too arrogant for her own good and it is so obvious that all her humanitarian work is just to show how much better she thinks she is when compared to the far superior Shannen Doherty.
She always thinks of herself as the best. We've seen her doing it on "Charmed," constantly being the one in the centre in promo pictures.
Her acting used to be believable in "Who's The Boss?" and early "Charmed" which is why I don't think of her any lower. But since then, she's let the fame go to her head and all it's done is make her seem worse than she was.
If I were to meet Alyssa I'd tell her all of this. I'd tell her that she was partly responsible for how frustrated I felt by watching the later "Charmed" years, how Shannen left because of her and I'd tell her that if it were up to me, Shannen, Holly and Rose would have been the "Charmed" girls.

Charmed Something Wicca This Way Goes Avg Score: 8.94 Total Ratings: 584 Total Reviews: 87 Users who disagree: 1 |
Both Combs and McGowan work wonders with the material they're given. Holly's absolutely heartbreaking as she says her goodbyes to her boys and Rose crying too makes for an excellent scene which brings back some memories of last season's finale "It's A Bad, Bad, Bad, Bad World Parts 1 and 2." Alyssa however, doesn't put any emotion forward in this scene and it really spoils the mood when the camera goes into a close-up on her face.
Zankou had been the best villain since Cole during his appearances on six previous episodes. However, his constant need for The Nexus (which had already been done countless times) to destroy the Charmed Ones, as well as the fact that it took him so long to get from Magic School to The Manor and that he couldn't sense that the Charmed Ones were in astral mode sort of spoiled his character and this being his final appearance, there was no way they could have fixed it up. They may seem like tiny nitpicks but in my book, they really count.
The only other scene, apart from the aforementioned goodbye scene, which was undeniably well written was the ending. I just loved it and it would have been a perfect send off. However, these two scenes alone couldn't save the episode. If Kern had stayed off the magical creatures (vampires included), had taken more care whilst writing about Zankou and had maybe gone a little darker, this episode might have been a whole lot better.
With all that said, I must however say that I wish the series had ended here. I've already said that I loved the ending and I would have probably loved it a whole lot more if it had truly been the end. After this episode, there can only be more of a downhill. Season 8 never truly delivers with the possible exception of "The Jung And The Restless" and seems weak and slow, and the finale, "Forever Charmed," was light years worse than this.

W.I.T.C.H. Avg Score: 8.89 Total Ratings: 1097 Total Reviews: 178 Users who disagree: 2 |
It lacks the flair of "Sailor Moon" but it's "Lord Of The Rings"-esque battles, monsters and scenery make up for it...sort of.
The show could use some improvement. It can get a little lackluster after a while. I in fact hardly watch it anymore. The situations the characters are in have been done to death on variious others shows, be they animated or not.
"W.I.T.C.H." is a good show for pre-teens. Once you're older, it will bore you.
