Not saying i'm a great blogger but if you want some down to earth conversation. You might want to stop by

4th editorship :)/Kill Switch fugly!/Hell boy 2/The Cleaner/The Closer

Hello all friends, acquaintances, and creepy lurkers yes you see it right little old me is now the king of obscure boards. I'm now the editor for Essence of Emeril which I was shocked to see how dead the board was when old Emeril Live the guide is full. Guess people go more for the bamming and live audience but oh well with hundreds of episodes to add I see a level jump and a 500 contributor icon in my future.

I started the ps2 game Kill Switch and boy the 2nd generation is coming back with a bang and making me appreciate the next one we're in. Graphics aside that whole forced cover thing is interesting to say the least but oh well I need something to satisfy my gaming and Metroid Prime I'll revisit in a month. Sometimes it's good to walk away when you stuck and with a long rest usually you'll get past where you've been stuck.

Me and my brother saw Hellboy 2 which was good although I feel it went away from the first movie's laid out vision. It was visually stunning and I'm curious to see if we get more hellboy given his decision at the end.

Summer tv is doing just fine for me The closer came back which was good as always although I wish those low angle back shots of Kara Sedgwick would stop. I don't find her hot and they really need to not sex her up tnt should be happy with Holly Hunter playing the old sexpot ugh Benjamin Bratt and the cleaner is off to a good start. It's not revolutionary but still entertaining watching this man do everything to help strangers out of the drug rut he used to be in. I'm a Bratt fan thanks to Law and Order I actually saw him on that show before his earlier movies. Ok then till later on hope to see you guys on the show boards I mention and as always on your blogs.

Get Smart and Wanted/Subway a possibility/Metroid Prime/xzine demo disk/Tv talk

Hello all it's been rough waiting till I had enough material for a blog as I watched the rest of you blog on. Well in the meantime me and my brother saw Get Smart and Wanted. Get Smart was a boon for my brother after being forced to sit through the happening which in his mind was an unforgiveable act of torture. I'm not a comedy person but after a horrible season finale performance on SNL Steve Carrel did a great job. Ann Hathaway wasn't all that sexed up imo she did look good but I think they overblew that aspect of her character. To a much bigger surprise was how good Wanted was now I was surprised at all the profanity and sex but I was pleased that it wasn't just a bunch of special effects. Great surprise endings and Morgan Freeman broke out of his nice old man/black friend mold beautifully. Angelina Jolie who I was shocked at how skinny she is and at the same time sexy and especially nude. She's magic the first skinny waif that I can forgive under the clause of hotness not even Eva Langoria gets away that easy.

I realized this week that if I'm desperate and out of ideals Subway is now back on the table. I had the feast which is double meat and cheese and the meats I don't recall you'll have to go online for the details. The one thing I hate about subway sandwiches is ho messy they are compared to others but it's nice to see them as an option again.

Well here I sit on the 4th stage boss of Metroid Prime a ridiculous ritual of shooting the thing woosy and then knocking over light emitting dishes. You have to do this in succession of dishs one through four. Sadly my storybook journey of knocking off games has ended since by the end of July I won't be done with the game. This brings me to xbox magazine demo disk the final ones left over from when I subscribed to the magazine. I got to demo N3 and Dead Rising which I didn't care for. I did like Prey and loved Rainbow Six Vegas both of which I'll get one day.

Finally as to tv the summer is great for me. I get flashpoint and stargate atlantis friday and I urge you guys to check out fear itself next thursday. The closer is back starting monday and the cleaner on a&e sometime that week. Those are just a few still waiting for Henry Rollins to comeback for summer politico talk while I wait for Bill Maher in the fall. All right that's all I got for now see you guys on the boards and in your blogs so keep blogging

Perfect Dark Zero beaten!!!/Back to the Pool Table/The Happening

Well two days ago I beat Perfect Dark Zero I have respect for the game now and understand why folks who didn't know any better thought so highly of the game when it came out. I don't like the whole cyber punk scene despite ghost in the shell and it's off shoots being one of my favorite animes.

This week me and my brother went to the pool hall and neither he nor me did well but I started making most of my shots after over eight years of absence from the game. My brother did ok after he got his line of sight together. That place had the same video games it did eight years ago and believe it or not we played area 51?!

Finally The Happening which was a decent movie as far as I was concerned. This was the best M Night Shaymalan film in recent memory. He did a great job setting the mood of all the characters and the story at large. I do understand the criticism that it was one long twilight zone episode which it really felt like but the suspense was top notch and sadly the reason for the happening was something more for the small screen and not the big. Oh well that's it for now see you guys on your blogs

Resistance Fall of Man Beaten/Good movie vs Bad movie/ Air Hockey

And to think last night I was going to take a break from gaming but summer boredom commanded I at last make it a little further in the last stage. Well I ended up beating the thing after some truely epic fighting. When you take down two creatures slightly smaller than Mothra and their foot soldiers. You've done a lot and that wasn't even the last stage we'll talk about that now. For anyone reading this and playing or thinking about playing the game the shotgun is golden. I don't know how the belife that the shotgun is weak or useless came into play but even at 30 feet it helped me out of some tough spots. Final stage hit the switch and wait for the first heated rod to come down and when it's sheild lifts hit it with two rockets. While waiting for the second rod cover your front at the end of the stage with goo bombs to stop soldiers coming to kill you and if your quick enough do the same for the back of you. This will kill all opposition and by the time your done the second rod will be ready to get two rockets. Now run to the other side of the level picking up ammo and health all the way and the rod on the back of the center beam should be ready and once again two rockets. The final two on the right side and it's the same story but for me I ran out of rockets so I had to use the augar for the last beam. Since it's the most powerful gun in the game it does the job nicely. Now onto Perfect Dark Zero which I'm over halfway through.

Saw Indy 4 2 weeks ago and it was great don't know why so many people bashed it. Too me the alien storyline was the next progression in the ever increasingly outlandish stories. So that was the good movie for the bad. My brother and I went to the dollar movie or shall I say 1.50 per adult movie and saw Superhero movie. I chuckled some but as a human I couldn't help but laught at poo poo and pee pee and sex jokes so chuckles don't mean good. So sad this genera of film is dead we'll never see the days of Top Secret, Naked Gun, and Airplane again.

Finally me and brother played air hockey which I beat him at and I can't believe how much work it was. You think because you goto the gym your fit but wow was I sweating and sore on one side after battling to be the first to have the best score out of ten. In other news check out the most contested show of the summer Fear Itself. So far it's not that good but Thrusday at 9pm I got nothing else to do so I'll stick with it. See you guys later take care

Level 27!!!/ Resistance almost beaten/ Wich Wich/ Movie plans

Well by this time tomorrow I'll be level 27 I've been doing a ton of reviews to clean up my favorites and that plus this blog should put me over. In other news a key question of Battlestar Galactica was answered. Humanity and their arch enemy have reached Earth and per wonderfully bleak scifi it's a self destroyed nuclear wasteland.

Resistance fall of man is almost done 3 or 4 stages and i'll be finished. Your supposed to play again cause after the first time new weapons are unlocked. Um yea that's something I won't be seeing way too many games out there to fool around with a defeated one for a bigger flashier gun.

I went all out at Wich Wich the sandwich shop around Texas and the east coast. Sadly due to the tomato scare I didn't get to experience my sandwiches with tomatoes but I still got the gist of some famous sandwich types. The Cuban, Myhami, and Ruben to be specific and in the future the monticristo.

Finally as for movies next week me and my brother will be seeing the happening. So far I've read part of the yahoo review which didn't have great things to say and I fear M Night may have peaked with Unbreakable. That's all I got for now see you guys after I've saved the world again

Moonlight

This was a great show with an engaging cast and a wonderful story that deserved more time to expand. The chemistry between Mick and Beth was the best seen in television and the same goes for each supporting character. The glory of Moonlight was it's ability to rise above ignorant comparisons to Angel, Forever Knight, and a host of other vampire shows. Most of which came before people even saw the pilot. Nice mythology quirks such as vampires being able to mask humanity thanks to a wonder drug and being everything in human society. From lowly paparazzi to the hall of wealth and high society. Moonlight had it all but sadly in this day and age unless you pull tens of millions in ratings your not long for network tv. I urge anyone to get the dvd's when this show comes out to see the greatness of what could've been.

I don't know what people were looking for when this show debuted. What we got was a decent action show with a provocative setting. I hate to sound insensitive but I don't find New Orleans off limits or sacrosanct due to the Katrina disaster. I really am upset that a lot of people panned the show just because it was set there or worse expected too much from the show. Anthony Anderson give a great performance as usual as Detective Boulet and Cole Hauser was a wonderful sidekick. Sure the show had it's bad episodes and in a show where a guy can sneak off to Afghanistan and thanks to a Hurricane his criminal record is gone. Sure some leaps of faith had to be made but as a simple, sexy, action piece I feel it succeeded.

John Adams
Avg Score: 8.98    Total Ratings: 147    Total Reviews: 3
This was a great historical drama with outstanding performances by all players large and small. A history lesson form me since I didn't know much about John Adams going in. The film covered all aspects of his personal and professional life well. A good move making it six parts which gave them room to explore his legacy in depth. It was real fun to see an honest politician. Adams engaged the enemy himself instead of hiding behind guards and refused to do things against principle giving his a one term presidency. He was anti-slavery but the movie didn't portray his as infallible. Whatever compassion he had against human traffic-ing sadly didn't extend to his son which committed the crime of shaming the Adams name. Adams like all truly great men did without recognition or fame in his life time but his influence gave us the country we have today and HBO once again proves it's the best when it comes to self produced movies.

Great show with characters and a story that was very appealing. Kudos for dealing with the touchy subject of terrorism on American soil and double kudos for it not being an enemy from the headlines. The unfolding story of a corporate and domestic plot to remake the power structure of this country was brilliant. Adding to the mystique of the show was the real world Cinderella story of the shows comeback and defying the network and saving the show from an un-ended ending. Great job I would love for the show to continue but if this is the end it was worth the ride and I enjoyed every minute of it.

8.5 Great
Flash Gordon
Avg Score: 7.23    Total Ratings: 944    Total Reviews: 72
It took some time but Flash Gordon became one of the better remakes of last seasons tv line up. A slow introduction to what many forgot is a super-powerless hero and his friends. Dale Flashes love interest was for me the weakest of group. She was not that attractive and her acting tended to be wooden. Aura who was Mings daughter provide the alleged hottie aspect of the show and to her credit was a much more dynamic character. Ming was a reserved tyrant compared to the eighties movie which most people associate with the Gordon lore. Most fans didn't like his take on the character but I didn't need a raving madman in my dictator so I was fine with his portrayal. With Zarkov and Baylin rounding out Flashes group. The cast came together nicely despite the dreadfully childish material they had to work with. To the shows credit it's hard to create a world of mystery and wonder. So I have to say for what it was it was good after all every show can't be Battlestar Galactica and sometimes a little cheese on a Friday night before and or during a few drinks is what you need.
