An emotion derived end for season 3, love it.
Michael and Lincoln chase Whistler down the streets of Panama. After appearing to lose them, Whistler phones Gretchen to come and pick him up. However, Lincoln finds him and subdues him, and Michael calls Gretchen about the exchange. Back at Sona, Sucre pays the price for the escape and gets horribly beaten up. When he still refuses to divulge any details, he is forced to dig his own grave and then lie in it while the guards start to bury him alive. The general tells them to stop it as they reach his head, but then Michael calls to Sucre's cell phone. Sucre proves his loyalty to Michael as he refuses to trick him over the phone to reveal his location, resulting in his own imprisonment in Sona.
Michael asks Gretchen to come to a public place for the exchange. She tries to persuade Michael to join the Company because of his ingenuity and the fact he is the first person to break out of Sona. A sniper on the roof is ready to shoot Lincoln. Michael coldy declines and reveals to Gretchen that the stunt is just to ensure that LJ and Sofia are alive and safe and Whistler is indeed in their custody. They quickly slip away from there and set up another exchange point. Before leaving, Michael tells her that after the exchange is over, they will be spending some "quality time", indirectly reminding her of the warning he had given her in Sona. The exchange place this time is in the first floor of a public museum. Gretchen has to get rid of her weapons in order to get past the metal detector. LJ snickers. When Gretchen asks what's funny, he confidently proclaims that Susan's definitely not smart enough to outwit his uncle Michael. The exchange happens and Sofia soon learns that she was being used when she gets Susan to admit to everyone that there are no coordinates to exchange, it was all a farce. Sofia is upset and tries to leave Whistler. Michael smashes the emergency seal on an exhibit and causes the alarms to go off, as he knows that The Company's men would have all the exits guarded (and tells Susan that he knows about that before switching on the alarm). Everyone walks out. At the exit when they are frisked, guards begin to doubt Whistler and Susan after they found an arrow tip that Michael minutes ago took from souvenir store and unnoticed put it into James' pocket before the exchange. One of Gretchen's men tries to shoot a guard, but another guard interjects and in the commotion Sofia is shot. Michael quickly heads to the car to retrieve a gun so that he can kill Susan. He almost shoots her but hesitates and is distracted by a guard who shoots aimlessly at Susan's van. Lincoln wants to help Sofia, but LJ tells him that he had better to leave and says that he (LJ) will take care of Sofia himself.
McGrady and his dad are stopped by police 200 km west from Colombian border. Policeman becomes suspicious of the father's behaviour. He orders him out of the truck and look in the back, only to find fertilizer. McGrady escapes re-capture by hiding in a secret compartment behind his seat. Later, they reach home and McGrady is shocked to find his family waiting for him in Colombia.
This part of the episode, has a mistake because in fact, it is impossible to travel to Colombia from Panama by car. There are no roads connecting both countries, as there is the "Tapon del Darien" jungle between them. As McGrady and his father arrive in Colombia, it says that they are in Acandi, but it is also impossible to reach Acandi by car. The scene seems to be taken in some Mexican town.
Meanwhile, with Lechero dying Sona is in anarchy. T-Bag enlists Bellick to save Lechero from the mob - but in fact T-Bag just uses Lechero, falsely promising that a guard told him that under the regime of the new general, if Lechero arranges for $50,000 to be brought to Sona for said guard, the guard will let them escape. After this has been arranged, Lechero learns the truth and as he's dying anyway, tells T-Bag to kill him quickly - to suffocate with pillow. T-Bag agrees. Sister Francis brings the money, and reminds T-Bag of her affection for him ever since he protected her several episodes earlier after T-Bag tells her that he will find her if she escapes with the money. T-Bag makes a speech in the yard denouncing Lechero's rule and distributes some of the money to the inmates to gain their trust, but keeps most of it for himself (in Sister Francis' trust). Sucre is then thrown into Sona just in time to see inmates cheering for T-Bag.
Mahone is sipping club soda in a bar opposite to a bank. He tells the barman that he is "between jobs" and that that he hopes that something is "just around the corner", while looking at the time on the bank's clock. Later, Whistler walks in to meet Mahone and gives the barman a big amount of money, paying for Mahone and telling the barman to leave him and Mahone alone. He tells Mahone that she (pointing Susan who is talking by cellphone outside) manages money. Mahone warns Whistler that Gretchen is the "weak link" in the whole chain and that Michael will eventually hunt all of them down one by one, if Gretchen has indeed done what they believe she did to Sara. Whistler ignores this and asks Mahone if he's joining them or not. Even with Michael after them, Mahone agrees to work for the Company and they exit the bar.
While Michael and Linc wait outside the hospital for Sofia, LJ gives Michael the paper rose Michael once gave to Sara in Fox River on her birthday, as we are reminded in a flashback. LJ tells them that Sofia had some information about Whistler in a briefcase in her apartment. Lincoln downplays this information, but it only serves to fuel Michael's desire for revenge. Michael and Lincoln break into Sofia's apartment and discover information on a Jason Lief, a person supposedly in connection with Whistler. Michael and Linc decide to part ways - Linc is seen with Sofia in the hospital as Michael sets out to get Gretchen.
The episode closes as Michael drives along a highway in Panama, with the origami rose and Lincoln's gun beside him, seeking revenge against Gretchen for murdering Sara. The closing montage for the season features the song 'Llorando' ( 'Crying' ) sung by Rebekah Del Rio.

Great TV! I love this show.
As the lights go off, the escapees have 30 seconds before the backup generator goes back on, and Lechero, T-Bag and Bellick are first to go. However, Michael and the rest remain in the tunnel. Power resumes and Lechero, Bellick and T-Bag are caught by the Sona guards in No Man's Land. Lechero is determined to run to the fence but is shot by the guards in the chest. Back in the tunnel the others are confused and are wondering the next move. They ask Michael his next move in light of the plan backfiring, but he confirms that what happened is indeed the plan. The captured are brought into the prison. Bellick is beaten until he reveals that they escaped through a tunnel under Lechero's room. The guards are brought there but they find nothing but an empty tunnel. A few seconds before Michael, Whistler, McGrady and Mahone have seized the opportunity to escape, taking advantage of the trucks parked above the tunnels, and make their way through the melted fence. Whistler, unknowingly, drops the bird book containing the coordinates under the truck.
Sucre, who has taken up the identity of Jorge Rivera, has been arrested by one of the Sona guards after they discover an arrest warrent for Rivera. Sucre is then handcuffed to a filing cabinet, freezing him out of the escape plan. In the midst of their escape, Lincoln calls Sucre only to reach his voicemail which leaves him worried. McGrady's father calls Lincoln, who at first thinks it's Sucre. Lincoln instructs McGrady's father to drive a jeep he'd concealed under some leaves to the docks.
While being pursued by the Sona guards and Panama police, the escapees head to the beach through the jungles. Whistler lands awkwardly on his right ankle and writhes in pain, asking Michael to let him go. Michael refuses and makes Mahone carry Whistler. They make it to the beach where Lincoln's buried package is uncovered - a cooler containing four oxygen canisters. Four canisters and five people: Michael decides to share with Lincoln, however later decides to share with McGrady as McGrady says he doesn't swim very well. Whistler realizes his bird book is missing, and he doesn't remember the co-ordinates either. However it's too late and there's nothing anyone can do about it now. They put their shoes and socks in the cooler and bury it before making a dash into the sea.
Sona guards and Panama Police arrive at the beach but they are unable to locate the escapees.
Michael, Lincoln, McGrady, Mahone and Whistler swim underwater to a buoy out in the Panamian ocean. Lincoln, to his horror, discovers that Sucre is not there to pick them up in the boat. They have no choice but to hang on to the buoy and wait for Sucre.
The Sona guards uncover the buried shoes of the escapees and the Captain calls in support from the coastal police.
McGrady's father arrives at the bay, in the car, and realizes the boat that is part of the escape plan-312-is still docked.
Back at Sona, Bellick is beaten by the Sona guards about the escape but swears he knows nothing. The guards decide to target T-Bag instead. On the way to the interrogation room, T-Bag falls to the floor, and spots Whistler's bird book. Knowing there was something special about it, he seizes the opportunity to stuff it in his pocket.
Just as Michael and the rest are almost out of strength, they spot a boat coasting towards them. McGrady fears it might be the coastal police, but he's relieved when he sees his father driving the boat. McGrady's father picks them up and heads for the bay.
At the bay, Lincoln, Michael, Whistler and Mahone retrieve new clothes from the car. McGrady, who is no longer part of the plan, thanks Michael for helping him to freedom. McGrady leaves with his father in a truck. The four of them head for the location to meet Gretchen. However, they are intercepted midway by means of the stopwatch, which is actually a tracking device, given to Whistler by Gretchen. Lincoln manages to side-swipe and disable one of the two cars and goes off road to reach a shack he rented earlier.
At the shack, a gunfight ensues. Lincoln uses the recording of the gunshots he recorded earlier to trick the 'hunters' into hiding for cover. Using this distraction, they are able to escape from the backdoor in another vehicle to an abandoned warehouse. Susan realizes they've been tricked and finds the boombox. She calls Lincoln, and applauds him for the neat trick. Lincoln turns the table on her, and demands LJ in exchange for Whistler in 20 minutes time.
Sucre is finally released by the Captain and he proceeds to the clerk to retrieve his personal belongings. He discovers that the receipt for the boat rental is missing and waits in the office while the clerk looks for it. T-Bag is being interrogated by the guards in the next room. As he refuses to reveal anything, the guards decide to apply electricity to his testicles. T-Bag panics and points to Sucre, whom he spotted through the window, as an accomplice.
McGrady and his father come across a roadblock and start to panic. McGrady pleads for his dad to turn around, but his Dad seems mystified.
Sucre is brought into the room and interrogated, but he denies any connections to Michael, calling T-Bag 'garbage'. One of the guards brings in documents regarding the escapees and the guard finds a wanted notice for Fernando Sucre with Sucre's picture on it.
In the factory, Linc attempts to shoot Mahone in revenge for killing his father. Mahone pleads with Lincoln, saying that his own family was at risk if he had not carried out The Company's order. Michael asks Lincoln to reconsider, but Lincoln is adamant and makes Mahone turn around so that he can shoot Mahone to his face. Just as Lincoln is about to pull the trigger, Whistler escapes through the window, forcing Lincoln to chase after him. Whistler jumps on top of a truck and then runs towards the road, thereby revealing that he feigned the injury to his ankle. Mahone quickly makes his way out of the warehouse as well.
Whistler steals a truck outside the warehouse and speeds away, leaving Michael and Lincoln at a loss and pondering what their next move will be.

How awesome was that!! Can`t wait for the next one!
Michael tells his escapees that they have 24 hours to re-dig the tunnel. Michael still has no idea how they're getting around the harsh guards at Sona. The others are not happy. Later, T-Bag tells the others that last time others joined Micheal in escaping, he left them to themselves after the escape. As the team dig the escape tunnel, T-Bag offers to work as security for Lechero on the outside. Suddenly, water is dripping into the tunnel - because of heavy rains. A sinkhole is beginning to form. The ground won't hold until tomorrow. Their only choice is to leave tonight.
Lincoln and Sofia, a romance possibly brewing, drive up to the Sona visitation fence, where Michael asks Linc to help figure out how to get around the guards, and confesses his discomfort over helping - once more - break out men who deserve to be behind bars, and with turning Whistler over.
On the terrace, McGrady confronts Michael about being left behind but Michael still insists he's doing him a favor by not letting him into the plan.
Michael forms a plan that includes cutting the power; the hitch is the backup generator. He calls Linc and tells him about the change in plans, and asks him to get a hold of Sucre – who is currently in a meeting with Susan. Sucre tries to lie to her, but she sees right through him – and she's found the bomb he left in her car. She threatens Maricruz and Sucre's unborn child, and Sucre caves, telling her that Michael's having second thoughts about handing Whistler over. Linc calls Susan to tell her the escape's been moved up to tonight. Once Susan dismisses Sucre, she consults with an agent, who has been watching Sofia's apartment. He can't get a good eyeline to watch her, which makes Susan suspicious. Sofia is trying to open the mysterious silver case of Whistler's. She gives up, and hides it under her bed before she leaves.
The digging is endangered when a food delivery truck nearly drives into the sinkhole, but it gets caught in the mud and goes no further. Meanwhile, Sofia is grabbed by a gloved figure.
As the escape team works to create a way to cover the hole after they leave, Bellick suggests to Mahone that they team up and nab the others after the escape, to bring them home to face charges. Mahone tells him he should go his own way after the escape; the only thing a partner will get him is caught.
Sucre gets the model number and company's phone number of the generator to Michael, and asks how they're getting around the jeep patrol. Michael says they'll just have to take their chances. But Sucre has an idea...
Linc meets with Susan, and finds Sofia there. Meanwhile, Michael calls the company that makes the generator and asks about the lag time. Linc calls and asks for Whistler; Susan gets on the phone and begins torturing Sofia with a lit cigarette. She demands the coordinates by the end of the day; she doesn't care if they escape or not. Whistler agonizes over his decision. Michael knows that LJ is dead if he hands the information over.
Back to digging, T-Bag suggests teaming up with Mahone to kill Whistler and screw Michael. Meanwhile, as Linc tends Sofia's wounds, he accuses Susan of being scared and desperate. She claims that if he really understood what was going on, he'd know she and the Company aren't the bad guys – they're doing the wrong things for the right reason. And if Whistler gives them what they want, maybe she won't have to kill Linc.
Whistler's deciphered the coordinates at last, and tells Michael he's decided to hand them over. Michael begs him not to; it'll make all the loss so far be for nothing.
Sucre surreptitiously sabotages the jeeps, but he is confronted by his boss Rafael in the parking lot, who reminds him he has a gun. It seems that his assumed identity, Jorge Rivera, has a warrant out for his arrest.
At visitation, Whistler and Michael face Susan, Linc and Sofia. A sorrowful Whistler says that everything that's happened to everyone – including Michael and Linc – is because he took the charter job for the Company. He takes out the coordinates... and rips the paper in half. He says he'll only give up the coordinates when Sofia, LJ, Michael and Linc are safe. She agrees – but she wants the information by a deadline, or LJ and Sofia are dead. She pushes a stopwatch through the fence – and then grabs Sofia and leaves.
Michael tells Linc he'll need to cut the power from outside the building at 5:15am. He then realizes – if they're holding onto Sofia until the exchange, who's picking them up?
Michael talks to McGrady again about the consequences of escaping. McGrady still wants to join them. Michael finally agrees, but says he cannot be responsible for him. He goes to the tunnel, which the others have finally finished building and bracing. Time to go as soon as the power is cut. They'll have 30 seconds of lag time before the backup goes on. The others can't believe the time is so short; T-Bag and Lechero take this surprise revelation as confirmation that they can't trust Michael.
Time to escape. Lechero and T-Bag object to McGrady coming along. And then T-Bag puts a knife to Whistler's throat – either T-Bag and Lechero go up first, or Whistler's dead. Michael is forced to agree. Bellick follows them next. Mahone decides to stay at the back – he doesn't want to turn his back on anyone.
Linc can't reach the junction box, so he steals a bus and rams it into the pole. The lights go out. Michael tells the others to go - they have thirty seconds.

He explains that he will not offer money; however, he pulls a gun on Sucre when he refuses. As Sucre arrives at work, Zavala is ordering a guard to take Michael a tiny cup of water. The guard doesn't want to do it, so Sucre volunteers. Michael, somewhat incoherent and on the verge of heat stroke, tells Sucre to leave, and never come back, but Sucre doesn't listen.
Lechero, along with Whistler try to dig up through the secret tunnel. They realize that they need Michael's engineering expertise so it won't collapse. T-Bag sees them sneak out of Lechero's room, past Sammy, and realizes they're working together.

Zavala begins to torture her via waterboarding. She is able to withstand the torture, which only serves to prove her guilt as Zavala realizes only someone who had previously been through it could withstand it. Finally, Gretchen admits she's not in charge; her job is just "babysitting" LJ. Just before she is hauled away, Michael asks her if she was the one who killed Sarah, as Gretchen replies that she doesn't know what he's talking about, he whispers to her that he's going to get her for killing Sara.

The crowd of prisoners goes wild, cheering for him. T-Bag realizes that Bellick dosed the knuckle wraps with acetone.
Sammy and Augusto meet at visitation. Augusto tells Sammy it's time for him to take over from Lechero, and to open the latest package he's had Sucre smuggle in.
Gretchen leads Zavala to the hideout, which has already been abandoned. She then gets the drop on Zavala, kills him, and then calls Lincoln. Meanwhile, Zavala's replacement, General Mestas, arrives at Sona and throws Michael and Whistler back into the prison which relieves Lechero, which Sammy notices.
Sammy opens the smuggled package, a gun. Loading the gun, Sammy prepares to take out Lechero.
