Doctor Who (2005) Doomsday (2) Avg Score: 9.60 Total Ratings: 495 Total Reviews: 79 Users who agree: 3 Users who disagree: 1 |
I knew for a while that Doomsday would contain all the best elements that could be present in a Doctor Who season finale - Daleks, Cybermen, a massive battle, a tearjerking separation of two major characters, plus an ambiguous ending that leaves the audience wanting the next installment.
What I didn't know, however, was how brilliantly the revived show's creator and writer for this episode, Russell T Davies, would put all this stuff into a very exceptional story whilst not wandering off into the "let's use as many special effects as possible without any storyline" area.
He's managed to blend a believable and in-depth storyline with some cleverly developed plot twists, as well as an ending that literally had me in tears by the end of it. And the Bride suddenly appearing at the end in the TARDIS...I can't wait for the next Christmas Special.
All in all I'd have to say that, along with The Girl in the Fireplace, this is the best episode of the season.

Doctor Who (2005) The Age of Steel (2) Avg Score: 8.92 Total Ratings: 317 Total Reviews: 19 Users who agree: 1 |
This episode rocked. Period.
The start of the Cybermen story kicked a helluva lot of ass, and the conclusion is no exception. One thing I sort of had a problem with was the way the Doctor managed to destroy the Cybermen that were about to kill him at the start using the TARDIS power cell. I thought that was a little unbelievable. Aside from that, however, the story was brilliant and was a great ending to the two-parter. I don\'t think we\'ve seen the last of the Cybermen, though...
And Mickey...I know they said they would never be able to get him back again, but I don\'t think we\'ve seen the last of him either.

Stargate Atlantis Siege (2) Avg Score: 9.61 Total Ratings: 414 Total Reviews: 14 |
Probably one of the best episodes of the season as the Wraith launch an all-out attack against Atlantis. The addition of new forces from Earth gives the Atlanteans a better chance at surviving, but the Wraith still manage to kick the living bajeezus out of them.
An annoying addition is Colonel Everett. He just drives me spare with his whole "I'm a Colonel I know more than you" attitude. I have a strong suspiscion that Wraith he's been cornered by is gonna eat him...
Another annoying factor is the cliffhanger ending. Sheppard's final comment of "I'm going in", followed by the displaying of that good old "To Be Continued", made me want to scream. Now I've gotta wait ages for the final part, to see whether Sheppard dies horribly in a suicide attack, or if he is saved by someone - or something - else. And the insinuation that Teyla's died was bad too.
And then of course there's Lieutenant Ford. Good old Ford. The fact that he's been surrounded by a bunch of Wraith isn't a good sign of things to come...
But all in all, a very good episode.

Star Trek: Enterprise Unexpected Avg Score: 8.16 Total Ratings: 126 Total Reviews: 7 Users who agree: 2 |
One of the funniest episodes of the first season. While meeting with an alien species Tucker falls pregnant. So begins a long trek to find the aliens to remove the embryo.
This episode had a heap of funny quotes and concepts in it, and is a prime example of first contact with other species and also a really good storyline.

The Mighty Boosh Avg Score: 8.76 Total Ratings: 394 Total Reviews: 37 Users who agree: 1 |
I was introduced to the Mighty Boosh by a friend of mine, and after watching one episode I was hooked. I watched "Call of the Yeti" first, and I thought it was madly funny.
A lot of people I know reckon British comedy isn't that great, but I reckon if they watched this they'd change their tune.
I think perhaps the funniest character is Vince, because he is just so always worried about how he looks, and some of his lines are really funny.
I reckon this is one of the best comedy shows I've ever seen.

Friends' Videos
Eternal vs. Karathress
Somewhat of a boring video due to the repetitiveness, but my favorite fight in SSC. Song is "On the Run" by Tillmann Uhrmacher.

Shadowrun Elf Dance Glitch
Strange glitch in the shadowrun game that occured in the sixth training mission. Couldn't repeat it on further attempts.
