2007 is here!

Yes, in my country its now 11.10pm on Jan1st. Anyway, i wish all at TV.com a great year ahead in everything you people do. I still have not much time to do stuff so i might just resign from the editor of As Told By Ginger and pass it to a person who will take care of it, even if i lose some pride.

Editor for the first time. And apologies for very infrequent logging in.

Hi guys! Well, im back on TV.com. I have just written a review for the Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends episode, "The Big Cheese". I will write the reviews for "Infernal Slumber" and "Squeeze the Day" soon.

Other show reviews are to come when I have the time...

Oh, and by the way. I am actually quite happy to be the editor for As Told by Ginger, a great show I've watched since September 2003. I would also like to say that DoctorShade and Unfabulous have been made trusted users since they have done alot for this show.

The Huntsman... GONE FOREVER?

The Huntsman was a very good tv.com member. He gave very honest and good reviews. His vocabulary for each of his reviews was indeed to be praised on because he always edited them and even if they were long, they were easy to read.

His forum posts are very highly appreciated by all. But Im just sad something happened to make him quit TV.com. And when I went to his profile, I was very shocked and sad to find that his reviews are gone. What happened? Why has TV.com done this? They just took away over 600 of one of their best reviewer's reviews.

The Huntsman, please come back! TV.com, please return him the reviews. I also want my other friends such as Spongeyfan, Star_Blaster etc. back!

Trapped in the Closet

Trapped in the Closet was a weird episode of South Park. They mentioned Scientology, a religion believed by many. I did like the introduction and the N-Meters as they did show some so-called beliefs of Scientology. I also did not realise that Stan was a depressed child, and probably one of the characters in the show I can relate to for i too am depressed. That was possibly why i liked the plot line of this episode.

But however, the Tom Cruise in the closet seemed quite weird, but good thing R. Kelley got him and John Trevolta out of the closet. The story seemed rather farfetched with a little holes as to how Ron Hubbard saw the aliens. The ending of the episode seemed very unfair to Stan. His friends didn't help him, that dirty liar tried to double-cross him. And also, everyone tried to sue Stan which i believe ruined this episode's quality.

Scott Tenorman Must Die
Avg Score: 9.55    Total Ratings: 545    Total Reviews: 54

This episode was mainly about revenge as Eric Cartman bought Scott Tenorman's pubes in order to be cool. But when Stan, Kyle and Kenny said he has to grow his own, he gets pissed off and tries to get his money back. So in numerous attempts Cartman fails and Scott somehow always managed to stay on top. The part where Cartman was doing toe little piggy song was hilarious. And also, even if Kenny died, it showed he was happy. This episode proved that Cartman is proactive in his plots as he killed Scott's parents and actually got Radiohead.

However the only part of this episode i didnt like was that Cartman killed Scott's parents and liked his tears. I feel that it went too far and i just felt that Cartman should have just died or be sent to jail for hurting someone's parents.

So overall, this episode was good but the ending went too far in the ending so i couldnt enjoy the ending.

9.3 Superb
South Park
Avg Score: 9.18    Total Ratings: 16203    Total Reviews: 1066
South Park is a unique show in its own way. It may look like a kid's show as it is a carton but its actually a show for matured audience. South Park is a good show for me because it shows how current events take place and how it can be made fun of so that it looks funny.

Another thing that I adore about the show is that the four main characters, Stan, Kyle, Cartman and Kenny have a strong development throughout the show. Kenny is my favourite character as he is the quietest and also looks utterly cute and is caring. Though he dies in every episode in Season 1 to 5 and a few in the later seasons. I also dont really like Eric Cartman as he is a spoilt brat but he's a good character that helps the show become more interesting. However, his manupilative behaviour sometimes can go too far and sometimes i feel he should not get what he wants. Stan and Kyle are good-natured, matured, caring and very analytical boys who share similar personalities, though Stan suffers more unhappiness than Kyle as seen in the season 9 and 10 episodes.
The other characters also play a big role in the show's success. Mrs. Garrison (Formerly Mr. Garrison) had a unusual personality. In the earlier seasons he didnt admit he was gay and used to cousel the boys at times, and later on he admitted he was gay and had a relationship with Mr. Slave after abandoning Mr. Hat. But sadly, when he got his sex change i didnt feel like Garrison was happy. I just wish he didnt do that.
Chef also played a big part in the songs he used to sing to the children and i felt that was good, but sadly he died and the actor, talented Isaac Hayes left due to probably that horrible episode "Trapped in the Closet".
I also like the other minor characters as they have their own personalities and are not dull. And some characters have increasing roles such as Butters who has replaced Pip's place in the blonde who isnt liked much by the boys.

So overall, i feel that if you are a mature person who can relate to the situations in real life and can understand how the characters feel in this show, than I recommend you to watch South Park. It is a funny show and a show that creates some awareness of current affairs.

10.0 Perfect
The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy
The Secret Snake Club
Avg Score: 9.48    Total Ratings: 38    Total Reviews: 6
The Secret Snake Club is one of the best episodes of the show as it shows what Billy and Mandy get into when they end up in different clubs. I do feel sorry for Mandy as she was stuck with the boys, who were quite idiotic. However, i liked it when they kept saying "Agenda" or probably when Grim accidently went into the monkey porn website. It's really hilarious to see him suffer when he's on the internet and seeing how much trouble Viper's computer caused him.

Billy's subplot of the CIA was also quite nice. He was acutally quite smart and intelligent and i really didn't expect Irwin to make evryone suffer from Retina damage. The agent dressed up like Irwin was funny. But i really wonder whatever happened to that lunatic Leaky Collon, did he die?

Shinnisugah's part in this episode was small which was good but i think he got mixed up with matrix prefixes and suffixes.

The breaking of the fourth wall was also quite nice. But i wonder why King Cobra was quiet but still a fool like the other two members. This episode was really great as it showed how idiotic boys can be.

8.4 Great
Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends
Duchess Of Wails
Avg Score: 8.56    Total Ratings: 75    Total Reviews: 22
This is an episode that shows us how mean and erm.. mean Duchess can be.

The beginning music sounded very duchessy and I also felt sorry for all the friends. It also seemed unusual Madame Foster was catering to Duchess's needs.

Anyway, the Applebees seemed like the Flanders of "The Simpsons". But only thing is, well they seem more idiotic. And also, everything that happens, they perhaps take it in a too optimistic way.I did like how Mac and Bloo sabotaged the Applebee's flat and how they tried to get Duchess back. The fighting scene was like Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers. It was incredibly interesting to watch and I liked this episode because it showed the less-jerky Bloo. And it was also good to hear the music from Adoptcalypse Now?. I was filled with happy feelings when Singapore was mentioned. I mean, I live there and its quite rare to hear the country being spoken. (By the way,Singapore got seperated from Malaysia in 1965).

The only thing I disliked was that Terence got away with his crime and that Bloo and Mac had to cater to every of Duchess's needs. They looked soo sad.

Overall, a really tragic episode made exciting.
