Justice for all...

The following excerpts were taken from Disorder in the American Courts, a book published by court reporters detailing actual, word-for-word transcripts from true cases.

ATTORNEY: This myasthenia gravis, does it affect your memory at all?
WITNESS: Yes.
ATTORNEY: And in what ways does it affect your memory?
WITNESS: I forget.
ATTORNEY: You forget? Can you give us an example of something you forgot?
***
ATTORNEY: How old is your son, the one living with you?
WITNESS: Thirty-eight or 35, I can't remember which.
ATTORNEY: How long has he lived with you?
WITNESS: Forty-five years.
***
ATTORNEY: What was the first thing your husband said to you that morning?
WITNESS: He said, "Where am I, Cathy?"
ATTORNEY: And why did that upset you?
WITNESS: My name is Susan.
***
ATTORNEY: Now doctor, isn't it true that when a person dies in his sleep, he doesn't know about it until the next morning?
WITNESS: Did you actually pass the bar exam?
***
ATTORNEY: The youngest son, the 20-year-old, how old is he?
WITNESS: Uh, he's 21.
***
ATTORNEY: Were you present when your picture was taken?
WITNESS: Would you repeat the question?
***
ATTORNEY: So the date of conception (of the baby) was August 8th?
WITNESS: Yes.
ATTORNEY: And what were you doing at that time?
WITNESS: Uh....
***
ATTORNEY: She had three children, right?
WITNESS: Yes.
ATTORNEY: How many were boys?
WITNESS: None.
ATTORNEY: Were there any girls?
***
ATTORNEY: How was your first marriage terminated?
WITNESS: By death.
ATTORNEY: And by whose death was it terminated?
***
ATTORNEY: Can you describe the individual?
WITNESS: He was about medium height and had a beard.
ATTORNEY: Was this a male or a female?
***
ATTORNEY: Doctor, how many of your autopsies have you performed on dead people?
WITNESS: All my autopsies are performed on dead people.
***
ATTORNEY: Do you recall the time that you examined the body?
WITNESS: The autopsy started around 8:30 p.m.
ATTORNEY: And Mr. Denton was dead at the time?
WITNESS: No, he was sitting on the table wondering why I was doing an autopsy on him!
***
ATTORNEY: Doctor, before you performed the autopsy, did you check for a pulse?
WITNESS: No.
ATTORNEY: Did you check for blood pressure?
WITNESS: No.
ATTORNEY Did you check for breathing?
WITNESS: No.
ATTORNEY: So, then it is possible that the patient was alive when you began the autopsy?
WITNESS: No.
ATTORNEY: How can you be so sure, Doctor?
WITNESS: Because his brain was sitting on my desk in a jar.
ATTORNEY: But could the patient have still been alive, nevertheless?
WITNESS: Yes, it is possible that he could have been alive and practising law.

those little things u question when your bored!!!

Why do people say "The alarm just went off" when really it just came on?

Do you wake up or open your eyes first?

How come only your fingers and toes get wrinkly in the shower and nothing else does?

Why do we say "heads up" when we actually mean duck?

How do "do not walk on grass" signs get there?

What was Captain Hook's name before he had a hook for a hand?"

Can a person with no ears wear glasses?

If you swallow a burp does it turn into a fart?

Can you put a gay man in a straight jacket?

Can you breathe out of your nose and mouth at the same time?

Why does the last piece of ice always stick to the bottom of the cup?

Why did Yankee Doodle name the feather in his hat Macaroni?

Who was the first person to look at a cow and say, "I think I'll squeeze these dangly things here and drink what comes out"?

Who was the first person to say, "See that chicken over there ... I'm gonna eat the first thing that comes out if its butt"?

Do illiterate people get the full effect of Alphabet soup?

Why don't the hairs on your arms get split ends?

Why is it that if something says, "do not eat" on the packaging it becomes
extra tempting to eat?

Wouldn't it be smart to make the sticky stuff on envelopes taste like
chocolate?

"Have you ever noticed that if you rearranged the letters in mother in law,
they come out to Woman Hitler?"

Isn't it funny how the word 'politics' is made up of the words 'poli' meaning 'many' in Latin, and 'tics' as in 'bloodsucking creatures'?

Can mute people burp?

If a fork were made of gold would it still be considered silverware?

Do they have girl's bathrooms in gay bars?

Why do companies offer you "free gifts?" Since when has a gift NOT been free?

If something "goes without saying," why do people still say it?

If mars had earthquakes would they be called marsquakes?

Why aren't safety pins as safe as they say they are?

Why is Charlie short for Charles if they are both the same number of letters?

If you were under house arrest and you lived in a mobile home, wouldn't you
be able to go anywhere you want?

If you don't pay your exorcist, do you get repossessed?

Why do we press harder on a remote control when we know the batteries are
flat?

Why do banks charge a fee on "insufficient funds" when they know there is
not enough?

Why does someone believe you when you say there are four billion stars, but
check when you say the paint is wet?

Why doesn't glue stick to the bottle?

Why do they use sterilised needles for death by lethal injection?

Why doesn't Tarzan have a beard?

Why does Superman stop bullets with his chest, but ducks when you throw a
revolver at him?

Why do Kamikaze pilots wear helmets?

Whose idea was it to put an "S" in the word "lisp"?

Johnathan Ross is simply brilliant on this show!the guests that come on this show are just fabulous, I don't think there is anyone out there that wouldn't want to be on this talk show. He gets all the biggest stars from Britain and America on his show, and all are equally amused by his humour. He asks the embarrassing questions that other shows would be afraid to ask but because Ross is so funny and charming he can get away with so much. I just adore 4 poofs and a piano and their choice of song for each guest is just classic! I also really love how he engages the other guests in the green room in all the interviews. All-in-all this is just great TV, very entertaining and always funny. And of course his accent is just brilliant and completely adds to his charm.

Hmm now will Sara live or die???i personally think that she will live because i think that the since everyone found out about her relationship with Gil is a big story in itself and if she is killed off then her death will over-shadow their relationship. But then again it would be intersting to see how the rest of the team would react and if they would be different towards Gil if Sara died and they blamed him. And finially we found out who the Minature Killer is and as expected shes crazy!!!ok well thats not really fair but she is definately not well in the head!!but it was definately good to find out who had commited all these crimes and what kind of person she was in day-to-day life. can't wait until the next season to find out wat happens.
