    • New SKU: PS3 w/ Dual Shock 3

      Finally the news I've been waiting hear... Sony is planning on releasing a 120 GB PS3 with the new Dual Shock 3 controller (fingers crossed). You can read the GameSpot article by clicking here. It's still just a rumor but at least it looks promising since the 80 GB model is being phased out. It should be out by late spring but the sooner the better since my gift cards are burning a hole in my pocket. I was thinking about how they would price the system and I'm hoping they'll just put a $499 price tag on it. I think it will just be the system and a controller, no MotorStorm this time . That's fine with me since the only games I want are COD4, Oblivion, Ratchet and Clank and Uncharted. Things are looking promising for 2008; I can get a PS3 and GTA IV all in one trip.     • Hey it's working today...

      I can finally blog again, thank you GlitchSpot! Well the busy holiday season has finally come to an end and all the relatives have gone back home. Now its time to spend all the Best Buy gift cards I received. I have $600 but I'm not sure if I should buy the 40gig or the 80gig PS3. I'm not a fan of Spider-Man 3 and I already played MotorStorm but it gets boring after a week. Maybe I'll wait until they release a PS3 with the new/old rumble controller (I hate the idea of having an obsolete controller for a system I just bought). For now I have my brand new PSP and plenty of games to keep me busy for a few months. I just started playing Jeanne D'Arc last night and that game rocks. Read more »

    • First a PS3 then an Xbox 360

      So over the weekend my friends and I had a Halo 3 LAN party and we ended up beating the game in four player co-op. The four player campaign was amazing and the most fun I've had playing a multi-player game. I had a blast but now in retrospect I'm a little disappointed because it made me change my mind about buying an Xbox 360 before a PS3. Personally Halo 3 was one of the major selling points for buying a 360 but now I feel satisfied just knowing I finished the game. While multi player on Xbox live does add replay value it's been there done that for myself. The old formula worked well but it's getting a bit tired and I want something new. Graphics were good but not spectacular and game play seemed solid but not fresh. Overall the game suffered from being over hyped, I know a few people... Read more »
