MY REVIEWS

  • show: Heroes

episode: (Volume Three: Villains) The Second Coming

    The Bottom Line: "Abysmal"

It's old news that Heroes is far from making sense but at least I felt more or less entertained during the first season.

The second season though was the beginning of what appears to be a complete mess. The writing was ridiculous throughout the last season, that I think is well known. Even the writers themselves apologized for the crap they put on paper.

Just when I began to believe that this show could become acceptable again it gets even worse.
It all seemed so random and forced. Really pathetic.. just really, really pathetic.

As I said before Heroes managed to entertain me somehow.. but now even that is gone. I was bored to hell. I just wished it would end halfway through.. too bad it didn't.

    1/10

  • show: Prison Break

    episode: Breaking and Entering

    The Bottom Line: "Bad"

What they finally did is NOT shooting lame action sequences. In the near past those attempts appeared to be completely cheap and unprofessional. Fortunately they chose to go with the old Prison Break style, or at least tried to. While I'm glad they built some sort of plot that makes halfway sense, I still can't get over the fact that the overall impression is ridiculously unrealistic. Now I know that this is a TV Show and doesn't necessarily have to be realistic, but for god's sake it doesn't say "Sci-Fi" in the show summary now does it? No It still says "Drama" but with all the fancifulness they have you can't really refer to this series as Drama anymore. Seriously dear Prison Break writer staff, get back to planet earth, where you can't fool a seemingly entire army of security guards, standing sentinel over what appears to be one of the most important things the company can call its own, by literally making some noise down the street and taking a walk through this highly secured building, where surprisingly the cameras we have seen in the first look at the house suddenly seem to be gone and just take what ever you please to.

    Where is the creativity?

Now this was just one example. And I'm sure some might say it's ridiculous to pick this stuff apart in such tiny pieces that don't even matter... well I say it's ridiculous to say "Hey, who cares if it's completely moronic and insults the viewers intelligence? Just turn off your brain and you won't even notice that stuff!"

I prefer to watch TV series with my brain on.

  • show: Prison Break

    episode: Scylla

    The Bottom Line: "Abysmal"

I am not giving this episode a "1" just to drop the overall rating, no, I give it a "1" because that is what this mess truly deserves.
I do not even know where to start off..

Maybe with the poor acting? Or rather the brainless writing?
Or... should I stick with the embarrassing attempt to form the modern A-Team?

I honestly have no idea. As the episode went on I could find myself rolling my eyes more frequently every minute passing.
Seriously, what is it with the entire cast, being completely out of character by the way, gathering around one table trying to bring down the bad, bad company? Why would "Mister Super Fed" Michael Rapaport give a flying fart about the momma's boy Bellick or the heartwarming Fernando Sucre? Seriously this is the best the federal government can come up with? It doesn't make any sense, it doesn't lead anywhere and it is nothing but desperate writing. I wonder if the Writers even know what they have in mind next, because it seems they just keep randomly dragging it on and hope for the guys at FOX to approve in some way, so they can make another quick buck.

That being said, what's the deal with Michael walking the streets the entire second season without ever someone really noticing him and now just as he has arrived back in his hometown he does get recognized by some cops, what are the odds? Full stop here, because I could pick this mess apart in a hundred tiny details, every single one being more pathetic than the last one.. but it's definitely not worth it.

Please end this show for everyone's sake.

  • show: Prison Break

    episode: Hell or High Water

    The Bottom Line: "Fair"

My expectations for this episode were very high, I thought this could be the event that saves the third season, which hasn't lived up to the first and partly the second season so far. Well let's begin with the actual escape, did you in fact believe what you witnessed there? I mean come on, it was plain stupid! Let your memory take you back to the first episode of this season, when we all heard how bad, violent and terrifying the Sona prison was and how no one could escape from there. Okay we all knew they would break out eventually, but this was ridiculously easy. For god's sake, where is the creativity that used to be one of the things I loved about the show? I'm even too outraged to discuss the rest of those unsatisfying incidents. Basically it didn't make sense to me at all.. Time to bury this show, sorry to say.
