The Odd Couple, what happened to My Name is Earl and other obsevations
Its the summer, the TV season is over and the writers strike is just a memory. For anyone who knows me, knows I love great TV. And Id like to make some observations on TV in my life currently. First, the state of network TV. I want so much to love network TV, because I grew up with the Big Three and I have great memories of the 70s. But the networks have been in a state of decline for some time now. It started with the emergence of cable, but I dont think that is the problem because cable TV isnt exactly in the greatest of shape either. But with the networks its more disappointing because Ive been a watcher so long. Most sitcoms are cookie cutter formulas or just plain mediocre.
