OK, if CBS doesn't give Moonlight a full-season order soon, I'm gonna have to start smoking cigarettes...or crack. This show is becoming totally addictive to me. Argh!
I heartily enjoyed this week's episode, and I liked the added touch that hey, even vampires drop their keys sometimes. ;-)
As someone who was a fairly die-hard X-Files fan for a while, I'm glad that the writers are not spending the season on "will they or won't they?" with Beth and Mick. They have been through some heavy stuff together already, so it isn't a big surprise that Beth plants 2 smackeroos on Mick at the end of the episode. However, I *was* surprised, since this normally does *not* happen on TV. (except maybe for sweeps) I hope the writers address some of the fallout in future episodes, b/c in real life there would definitely be some. I have confidence though, b/c the show has done a pretty good job so far in not glossing over the emotional aspect of the characters.
And bless the editing/directing team for allowing one of Alex O'Loughlin's full-fledged smiles to make it into the end of the episode. Bravo!!!

This show is like crack to me. I haven't really felt this way about a show in a while.
While I enjoy sci-fi and other supernaturally-themed shows, I think one aspect of Moonlight that really appeals to me is the examination of the characters and their relationships. This just feels more personal than your standard "monster of the week" storyline. But Moonlight has a little bit of everything...a dash of crime procedural, supernatural, and a bit of romance every week. There's a lot that can be done with the vampire community that has started to be revealed in the show.
I really hope Moonlight does get a full-season pick up soon...otherwise, I might have to start smoking or something. :-D

CBS - you need to be giving a full season episode order to Moonlight, like, RIGHT NOW!
"Fever" (episode 4) went by *so* fast...there were plenty of great moments. I don't remember looking at the clock even once during this episode. Loved the banter between Beth & Mick and glad that there was more development to Josh's character. It seems the actors/writers are starting to settle into their roles, and I'm definitely looking forward to future episodes!
One thing that concerned me at first about this show was a seeming impetus to keep the characters' emotions (especially Mick's) a bit too dark. I'm glad Mick's secret was revealed sooner rather than later to Beth, because it has allowed a "lightness" to creep more into this series, and that definitely paid off in this episode.

I...loved...this...third...episode!!!!! This is the strongest episode yet.
I especially enjoyed the mesh of the supernatural with the detective story throughout the hour. I think it's a fresh combo that hasn't been overdone to death in TV - not too much of the supernatural (not that it is a bad thing, imo) and not too entrenched in the procedural element.
I will say that I am pouting a bit that there wasn't enough pre-vampire Mick in there. I wanna see what we have to look forward to when Mick starts to "lift his burden" and resentment towards Coraline, as Josef stated in this episode.
Definitely looking forward to next week!
