Olympics! by eater11

As all of you would know the 2008 olympics have been of for about a week and half. Australia has been doing pretty well as we are coming 4th on the Gold Medal Tally with 8 Gold, we are also coming 3rd on the Total medal tally with 29 medals. Most of these have been in swiming. We are coming 2nd in the swiming medal tally with a total of 20.

Most of these medals have been won by the same people. As we have 3 of the top 4 multiple medal winners. These are Stephanie Rice with 3 Gold medals, Libby Trickett with 2 Gold, 1 Silver and 1 Bronze, Leisel Jones with 2 Gold and 1 Silver. We should have at least 4 more Gold Medal's because 4 of our World Record Holders have lost their races.

Grant Hacket narrowly lost his 1500m FS race today which if he won he would have the first man to win the race 3 olympics in a row. The man who beat Hackey tested positive to steriods only 18 months ago, this surprised me because I think that it should be 1 strike your out. If you have used Steroids before whats stop you from doing it again.

Drugs aside I am hoping Australia can do well in all the remaining events so that we can either mantain our 4th overall spot or move up to 3rd.

This Season was very good but nowhere near as good as the other seasons. This is for Stand Alones don't work and I don't know why Sci Fi thought they would. All the other episodes besides the stand alones have been great though.

Yay finally I have a short break from all the assignments and work. It is the winter holiday here in Australia. The holiday started the being of this week, I have tried to write this blog 4 times now but firefox crashes everytime I do so I hope that it's fourth time lucky.

It has been awhile since have posted or done anything much but I been busy with school and other stuff. I have been on TV.com a fair bit (as it is my homepage) but not as much as normal. I think i will start going in the fourms again, thats if i dont get given another 10 assignments.

How am i supposed to do my Assignments, Watch TV, and do everything I do on the computer. What needs to happen to make this possible is that Friday or Monday need to become part of the Weekend.

Today I went to the annual Supernova event in Brisbane. Supernova is like the Comic Con for Australia. It 3 day event that features many comic book,Manga,Anime stalls and who ever is sponsering them. It has heaps of DVDs and mechindise for sale. It draws a huge crowd as you could barley walk in the building and the line to get in was huge. Many people dress up in extavigant costumes costing hundreds of coustumes. Like perfect replicas of Final Fantasy coustumes made of leather, Real Fur etc. were very populur. While I was there I bought Stargate: The Ark Of Truth for $10 cheaper than the shops. Some Box-sets on TV shows like entire series of Deadwood were $70 off.

As you may have read the Smallville creators are leaving after Season 7. I don't think it will effect the show since the writers and excutive producers who are taking over have been around since season 2.
