On January 6th we celebrate El dia de reyes, the epiphany remembering the day when the three wise men following the star of Bethlehem arrived bearing their treusured gifts of Gold, Frankincense and myrrh for the baby Jesus.A couple of days earlier in some cases a couple of months earlier(gyilty ) childrens write their letters to the wise men or to their favourite Rey mago, Melchor, Gaspar or Baltasar asking for the presents they would like to recieve.On the night of January 5 the figurines of the three wise men are added to the nativity scene, I remember always putting them the fourth to make them come quickier I alwyas thought it was a good idea, never worked anyway, they always come the nigt of january 5 Before going to bed we placed our shoes under the tree some cookies and milk...
