Definitely need an update here

Man, I hadn't logged onto this site for about two months. I greatly reduced my course load this quarter to prepare for the MCAT I'm taking next month, so I've got free time again! Time for more sports rants and... I guess I don't do a whole lot else. O well, glad to be back. Hope everyone's doing well and had a good Easter.

Boy, that was exciting!

That Colts-Patriots game was one of the best games I've ever seen! I rooted for the Pats in their previous matchups, but I put money on Indy this time. The money doesn't matter though; Manning put together a historic comeback and finally broke through after pretty much a life of failure. Speaking of exciting, it's certainly a great time of the year, when 24 and Prison Break can fill up your Monday night. I feel like PB is slowly losing some of its excitement, but I'd be more than happy to be wrong here. Heh, I can't believe I'm actually looking forward to Mondays now... Life's full of surprises.

Super Duper Birthday Blog

Alright, looks like I made it out of the dangerous teen years unscathed, so now it's "bye bye potential" and "time to put that serious face on, boy."  Life is such an awesome progression.  I might be bringing home straight A's (which hasn't happened since high school), but just being on break is a nice consolation prize if the professors choose to use one of those hurtful curves. Because of current events, I've really narrowed down my career choices. Since my best bud was misdiagnosed by his doctor when he might have cancer, I'm more dedicated than ever to make sure that patients shouldn't have to deal with that crap. This doctor has long been a scoundrel, and now he doesn't even care if his patient dies because of his mistake. Anyway, I won't withhold my obligation to enjoy myself today. Next week, I'll get a little bit artsy. Stay tuned.

I don't know if I can hold on much longer...

Only two weeks of school left till Christmas break, but my performance this quarter has gone down quite a bit recently(maybe it's because I stopped blogging). They must call it "dead week" because all the studying leeches life out of you... Anyway, being kinda superstitious, I'm trying to do everything I was doing when it looked like straight A's this quarter. Good luck in school/life everyone!

Tough Weekend

I couldn't even concentrate on my homework because of the shock of the A's sucking and Rich Franklin being beat senseless. I guess I have to stop here because of that homework.

I can't remember enjoying an episode so much where Cartman did not play a leading character. The episode starts with a simple question: What do Easter eggs have to do with the resurrection of Jesus? Of course, Matt and Trey masterfully turn this into an intricate comical conspiracy plot and do so with a bountiful supply of hilarious allusions. While Stan and Randy played the lead roles in this episode and were brilliant, Kyle and Jesus combined to produce one of the funniest scenes ever: Jesus asking Kyle to kill him, which he grudgingly does! This is pure speculation, but I'm thinking that Matt and Trey put more thought into this episode than any other. The Bloody Mary episode was a long time ago, and they got back at Bill Donahue in the best way possible, making him a power-hungry hypocrite that was purely evil. I'm trying to think of a flaw in this episode, but I can't do it! Entertaining from start to finish, this was a top 5 episode for me.

The show involves picking random numbers and choosing the right time to stop. Einstein couldn't play this game any better than a four-year-old could. I'd love to be on this show because you have to be extremely unlucky to walk away with less than $5,000 dollars, but the last few times I watched the show (before giving up on it), I was actually angry. I think it was because I don't like contestants acting all smug with their lucky charms when they hadn't done anything special. I guess the appeal is that anyone can do it, but I think that's exactly why I don't like it. Taking the deal is never the "wrong" move, but going all the way is never "wrong" either. It's just a game of dumb luck.

Stanley's Cup
Avg Score: 7.07    Total Ratings: 581    Total Reviews: 107
The episode starts out innocently enough with Stan being forced to coach a peewee hockey team. Stan's situation parallels that of Gordon Bombay from "The Mighty Ducks." Stan has a player who's stricken with cancer and looks for hope through the team's victory. The team, comprised of four-year olds, obviously have no skill, but become dedicated to winning the game for their sick teammate Nelson. They tie their first game, and I thought the episode's best line was the doctor talking about Nelson's status as not improving or getting worse, but "tied." Further developing like a Disney family movie, the team brings in the Canadian Ike, who should help the team beat the other peewee team. Then the slap in the face comes. Stan plays against the Detroit Red Wings (Hockey's best team for the best decade) for a period and his team of preschoolers pretty much get killed, pun intended. The team hates Stan, and Nelson dies. Matt and Trey probably had a lot of fun making this episode, but for most viewers: How do you laugh at a little boy dying of leukemia? The concept of making a u-turn from the traditional underdog/inspirational sports story was nice, but this was a little too extreme for me.

This episode didn't have the best plot, but I laughed out loud more during this episode than I had in any other. World of Warcraft is a terrific game to parody because of its great poplarity and hilarious lingo. They were also able to make fun of the game without brutally bashing it, which is always better. The best part of the episode was the many funny lines from all the different characters. I personally like Randy Marsh as the idiotic childish father more than the self-righteous know-it-all, so I found him extremely funny in this episode. Most of all, this episode was centered around the kids and they are the best characters on the show. I've seen every episode and I think this was arguably the best.

Justice (2006)
Pilot
Avg Score: 8.94    Total Ratings: 179    Total Reviews: 22
For some reason I thought Justice was going to be about the Kevin O'Neil case the whole season. Well it wasn't, which is acceptable. I was a little disappointed though, because an in-depth look at one trial would have been something I'd never seen before, whereas this trial was about as deep as that of a movie. The week-by-week format does allow you to miss an episode, so that's all good. The acting was great. Every character seemed "real." I really didn't know what to expect throughout the episode, so they did a solid job with creating suspense. The jury's verdict was inevitable considering the evidence, however. The show really tried to sell the originality of showing what really happened at the end and that's really the part that I anticipated. For a pilot episode, I guess they had to show that the super lawyer team was brilliant, but I'd like to see them slip up next episode. The fact that they correcty guessed exactly what happened to Caitlin O'Neil ruined the excitement of the ending. That said, I didn't want to miss a second of this episode and I'll make it a priority to tune in next week as well.

Shego's the Girl the Guys Want

After seeing the way most of the guys act towards Shego, I had to make this video for her!! In a way, it could also be looked at as a Ron/Shego video!
