Back at Uni,
Well, just about to finish my second week back at RMIT for 2007 and i have to say, I really love holidays! Unfortunately, they're over for another year. You really get used to not having a routine. I suppose it could be worse...I could be going back to school!

WHAT A LINEUP! (Almost)
Wow! Channel 7 "in '07" almost had a killer lineup for the first half of the year! Almost! Imagine:

9:30 - Brothers and Sisters
Tuesday
8:30 - 24
Wednesday
8:30 - Heroes
9:30 - Prison Break
Thursday

But no.
Next week we get Dancesport Championships 2006 for 2 hours on Tuesday, and 24 relocated to the death timeslot at 10:30pm Wednesday.
So close!

Going away!
Well, we (me and some mates) are off to Ocean Grove for the next week which should be fun. Plenty of beach (the weather's going to be good this week) and good times. Happy New Year everyone (almost)!

Border Security: Australia's Front Line Avg Score: 7.32 Total Ratings: 10 Total Reviews: 2 |
This show may not be a "must-see" for me, but when I do get around to watching it I am never bored.
Since 2001, national security has been the big talking point, whether in real life in things such as airport security, or in TV shows and movies which seem to love going to the topic. This show however shows us what really happens. I just find it very interesting to see the actions of obviously guilty people who try to get away with smuggling, or importing illegal items into the country. As well as this, the way that the customs officials work to find out the information, or simply what they find in the luggage does not fail to amaze me.
Overall, if you're looking for an interesting, informative show about what customs officers and immigration officials go through every day, you can't go wrong with Border Security.

The Wedge Avg Score: 5.52 Total Ratings: 49 Total Reviews: 15 Users who agree: 3 |
The Wedge is the most unfunny comedy I have ever watched. For those who don't know, it is a sort of sketch comedy show which focuses on a bunch of strange people from an outer Melbourne suburb called Wedgedale. A teacher, a schoolgirl, a chainsaw murderer, two ladies who play the pokies and others. They act very strange, but not in any way that could really be considered funny. If you want good Australian comedy, this is not the show for you. Try Ten's other new comedy, Real Stories (which is shown straight after The Wedge), or my personal favourite, Thank God You're Here.

But, this is my first BAD review!

Law & Order: Criminal Intent Magnificat Avg Score: 9.22 Total Ratings: 65 Total Reviews: 8 |
The idea behind Law and Order: Criminal Intent is just that; to discover the criminal intent of the people involved with the case, often through interrogation or intelligent questioning. Though we aren't sure right away as to who's responsible for the murder of three children, Goran soon finds out what an imperfect family the victims were a part of, and that maybe the suspect could be found within that family. Superb acting from Vincent gives us one of the best interrogation scenes from Criminal Intent's history, despite the fact that the man being interrogated had not technically commited any crime. Though not illegal, his actions did cause the murders and his wife's behaviour and Goren knew that. He just wanted to break him and get him to show some "affect". The ending was perfect, and you just know that Goren will be up on the witness stand in the custody hearing to make sure that the boy who survived would not have his life ruined again by his father.
A fantastic episode and a fine example of Criminal Intent.

Tis was a fantastic episode from start to finish, great suprises and a brilliant story which kept you glued to the TV. But Nick, what's with the moustache? Oh, it looks terrible! But, back to the episode. It was an interesting one which I felt could almost have been done as a Law & Order episode, from that fact that it was more about interviews than collecting evidence. But still, they kept it CSI with some great "CSI Shots" and of course, everyones favourite Crime Scene Investigators putting the pieces of the puzzle into place and setting up for a conclusion next week. I can't wait.

CSI Inside the Box Avg Score: 9.23 Total Ratings: 158 Total Reviews: 6 |
I thought this one was great. The case was excellent, with some good evidence collecting and processing, and to kill off a season 3 regular, well, I wasn't expecting that. What was different about this one was that it had a lot of character moments which were not confined to this episode. Something that is rare for this show. It tends to usually focus on one episode at a time, and viewers could watch them in any order and still be in on the story. But Catherine found out who her true father was, which i'm sure will affect episodes to come and Grissom is fixing his hearing, which was a major story arc from the second and third seasons. It will be interesting to see the continuation into season four and if these events will have any impact on the future. But all round, a brilliant episode. 9.5/10

Dead Beat - A Short Film
This is a short film that I made for university. It had to be 60 seconds long (actual footage - not credits - but mine ended up being 66 seconds), and it had to follow the theme Recreate the moment after a crime. Hope you enjoy it! Please comment.
