So, I've wasted a year of my life on this site....awesome! :P

Today is officially one year since I've been a member of tv.com. Of course, I was lurking long before that, but no matter. Anyways, I've decided to put up a lovely picture that sums up my time here:

Bloggy Blog

I have nothing of importance to say. I'm very close to Level 8, so I figured I would blog and maybe have my level raised.

But, since I'm writing...I will just say that Piers Morgan ended up winning Celebrity Apprenctence. I didn't really want him to, but in terms of criteria, he really kicked ass. Oh well!

One of the Best Performances on Idol in YEARS

I know that not a lot of you watch American Idol, but who cares, I'm writing a blog about it. I have been steadily losing interest in the show. First, there was the Sanjaya debacle that was last year. Now, it just seems as though there isn't any real talent...until last night. David Cook got up and sang Chris Cornell's version of "Billie Jean", a Michael Jackson song. It. Was. AWESOME. He really could have recorded it and sold it, it was that good. I honestly can't remember when a contestant did this good, save for maybe Chris Daughtry, Kellie Clarkson, or Ruben. I'm curious now to see where the competition takes David now, since he showed how excellent he can do.

On another note, I'm a bit pissed at Idol. How in the world is it ok to let two contestants on the show that have had record deals? Isn't this about finding undiscovered talent? I find it annoying that people who have record deals can make it in the top 12. I also find it annoying that there can be strippers and those with lewd photos in the top 12, since Frenchie was not allowed to stay for the same thing.

Anywho, I have to get back to work, but I did want to comment on the awesomeness that was Idol last night.

In this episode, Dr. Cox is still getting over the death of his best friend and brother-in-law, Ben Sullivan. He is annoyed by the fact that Jordan's two best friends have not left after the funeral. Meanwhile, Carla is teaching a sexual harassment class in which The Todd, Dr. Kelso, and Dr. Cox are required to attend. This is another great episode of Scrubs. For the first time, we see Jordan vulnerable, when she admits that she is still trying to get over her brother's death. There are plenty of comedic moments to lighten the atmosphere, though: JD putting Cox's name in the sexual harassment box, Todd's infamous T-shirt, and Dr. Kelso's take on how gender relations have changed. Overall, this is an episode that you definately do not want to miss!

What a wonderfully funny episode of Scrubs! This has to be one of my favorite episodes of Scrubs. Not only are the fantasy sequences great in this one (front butt...it's like the holy grail), but there is good character development.

We find out in this episode that Dr. Cox does not like to take handouts from other people, even if it is essentially important for him to do so. We also see JD, who has the courage to stand up to Dr. Cox and, for once, give him advice on something. I happen to love this episode, because Cox actually does take JD's advice, and finally has his patient put in a good word for him. He respects JD, even if he doesn't always show it.

Again, great episode!

In this episode, Dr. Dorian has become the "teacher's pet", and is noticed by Dr. Kelso for his fine work as an intern. However, before long, Dr. Nick Murdoch breaks onto the scene, and he completely steals the show. He has great bedside manner, great ability, and he has caught the eye of JD's crush, Elliot. It's easy to see why JD became jealous. However, not even JD could stay mad for long, because Nick's personality eventually won him over. However, the pressures of being a doctor prove too much for Nick when he has to tell a child's parents that he will not be getting better. Elliot and JD find Nick in a stairwell crying, and he admits that the pressure is overwhelming to him. He quits.

I love this episode, not only for the comedic moments in it, but for the realness it brings. Everyone thought that Nick was so together, that he was the best intern that ever walked the halls of Sacred Heart. The reality is, even the person who seems extremely confident on the outside can be a mess on the inside. Everyone has stress on the job, but what defines them as a good worker, or even a good person, is that they do not let it define and cripple them. JD's narration said that sometimes, to deal with the pressure, one may need to feel overwhelmed once in awhile to make it through (this shot shows Elliot in her trusty closet, crying her eyes out, then doing what she has to do). In the end, JD proved that he was the most accomplished intern.

I strongly believe that Scrubs is one of the best shows in television today. With its innovative humor and uncanny ability to mix comedy with drama, the show is definately a winner. Following these young doctors and watching them grow up and really come into their own in the medical field is highly entertaining. Scrubs is not the kind of show that one can just come in and watch and immediately love. You really have to watch it for a few episodes, and that's probably why many people pass over it. However, Scrubs is careful not to disappoint, and fans are continually rewarded by the show.

Me playing bass/snare/hi-hat to "Superman" (Scrubs theme). All feedback welcome but go easy on me... I've only been playing six months and this is the first song I've learned.
