Lost, Season 4

Who watches Lost?

I'm really looking forward to the next season. The writers' strike is bugging me to death, but I can't wait to get back into the show and catch up with everything, such as -

* What will happen now stupid Jack has made the damn call that will apparently be the beginning of the end?

*Is Kate pregnant and if so, will she and Sawyer both manage to get off the island at some point?

*What was the real deal with Naomi?

*What's everyone gonna be like with Locke now hes shot someone?

*Now Walt's been seen, is he back? And what happened with him and Michael?

The questions are endless.

2008 is here

Hope everyone had a nice Christmas and a good time at New Year

Today, as in new year's day, really sucks for me. I mean on the one hand I have a new printer for my laptop which is great but on the other hand, my dog had to be put to sleep this morning. It was awful, mydad had to be in the room and hold him while it was done. It had a tumor on its foot and was suffering too much so imaking the decision for it to be put down had to be done, but we had the dog for years so it's really depressing

The opening scene of this episode is probably my favorite scene in the entire show. It's really well directed and edited, and although Santana's song fits the scene best, the dvd song doesn't change the amazing hotness of Michael and Maria's passionate session at the Crashdown. These two just had amazing chemistry and it's the main reason why this scene works so well. Brendan and Majandra's chemistry was as strong as Jason and Shiri's, which is why the relationships between Michael/Maria and Max/Liz are by far the fan favorites of all three seasons. Both couples are given a chance to shine in this ep and the sparks between them are at an all-time high.

Katie and Colin have a nice chemistry together, which is why Isabel and Alex also became well-liked together by fans and they make such a cute couple. The scene where Isabel dreamwalks Alex is just beautiful. The ways in which Michael, Maria, Max and Liz interact with each other affect their relationship developments. Michael begins to meet up regularly with Maria in the Eraser Room, generally known by the students there to be the make-out room. Then he meets up with Max in the guys' bathroom to discuss how things between he and Maria are progressing. At the same time, Liz has made Max aware of the fact that she knows there's something going on between Michael and Maria, and talks to Maria about it in the girls' bathroom to make sure she isn't getting in over her head without knowing how Michael really feels. We learn through Max and Michael's conversations that Michael feels strongly about Maria, but is scared to get in an actual relationship with her through fear of ultimately hurting her; and this in turn prompts Max to assess what's going on between him and Liz, which leads to their first kiss.

In the meantime, Alex, whilst dealing with his feelings for Isabel, is hurt that Liz is holding back the truth from him. Ultimately she can't lie to him anymore because of their strong friendship which is restored in this episode.

A personal favorite, focusing on the three main couples and their developing relationships.

I'm so thrilled by this 2-parter episode. First of all, what could be more great than Kelly and Dylan finally no longer dating?? YAY!! They broke up (in a really pathetic way but ironically enough pathetic equals fitting for these two) in the episode before this one, because they must've finally realised that Kelly had a point when she said 'I'm either going to be number one in your life or I won't be in your life', or 'take away the sex from our relationship and what is there?' - clever Kelly. Took you two seasons to figure both these things out?? Brenda was always THE ONE for Dylan, you don't need to be a rocket scientist to figure that one out. Anyway, they're basically ignoring each other in this episode, which was great to see.

Andrea gives birth to a 2lb premature baby. I felt so sorry for her and Jesse, they were both fearing for the baby's life. I thought it was sweet when Andrea called her Hannah, meaning 'hope'. The Kelly/Andrea scenes are lovely, Kelly goes with her to see her baby for the first time, and Andrea is totally supportive when Kelly admits she's fallen for Brandon - and is going to Washington to see him!! I was so glad, because I couldn't put up with Claire and Lucinda draping theirselves all over him throughout the next part of this episode as well.

The Brandon/Brenda final ever BH scene is really bittersweet. They don't cry or anything, but they have that typical goodbye speech which lets you know that Shannen Doherty is leaving the show and Brenda won't be just in London for the summer, she'll be there - well, watch the rest of the show, and you'll find out.

Great set-up for part 2, part 1 of my favorite ever BH episode

I absolutely ADORE this episode. It's fantastically well written, pivotal, and revealing. And my favorite couple is finally sharing a defining moment after so long.

Nathan decides to go to High Flyers for the summer, and Deb lets him know of her plans for her and Nathan to get away from Dan for good. Peyton is missing Jake like crazy and Brooke is there to comfort her. Nathan and Lucas clash over Lucas' trip to see Haley, and Nathan vows to never be friends with Lucas again. Peyton meets Ellie, who claims to be writing an article and needing Peyton's help - but Peyton gets a shock when she later insists she is actually her mother. Brooke is still reeling from the shock of finding Peyton's stuff in Lucas' room. Lucas has a sexy dream about Brooke, who assumes he had one about Peyton. Dan has various clashes with people - Whitey, Andy, Deb, Karen, Lucas; all of whom share a mutual hatred for him and he insists he feels the same way. Haley leaves the tour and turns up on Nathan's doorstep. Lucas says goodbye to Brooke as she leaves for the summer, but not before revealing his true feelings for her. Dan's dealership is set on fire by a mystery person, and Dan is there as it happens.

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. The Brooke/Lucas 'I wanna be with you' scene is my all-time favorite scene of the show so far, as the song 'Wires' by Athlete plays, the lyrics "I see it in your eyes" coinciding with Lucas kissing Brooke and them looking meaningfully into each others eyes. Chad impresses me as (playing Lucas) he tells Brooke how he really feels about her and vows to never want to be apart from her again. And thrilling cliffhanger scene in the end montage. It's just an excellent, classic OTH episode.

For anyone who ever doubts that Dylan and Brenda belong together, I suggest you watch this episode. Because it's seriously intensely romantic and charged with energy. Everytime Luke and Shannen share screentime, you're glued to the screen, because they just worked so well together. The scene in which Dylan runs after Brenda and emotionally breaks down, leading to their first and perhaps most highly charged passionate kiss ever, is extremely memorable and well acted. Their developing feelings for each other were extremely believable because the two of them together just oozed with sexual and romantic chemistry. The definitive Dylan/Brenda episode. The first and best, in my opinion. The beginning of a great tv romance.

I HATE Kelly & Dylan together, and words cannot express just how much. Brenda brings out a romantic, committed side to Dylan like noone else, and it's endearing to watch their romantic journey together throughout Seasons 1 and 2. This is the turning point in the show - perhaps the first big jumping the shark moment - as Dylan chooses Kelly in a rather sleazy scene where they passionately start kissing in a pool. Dylan and Kelly as a couple are not well-liked, they don't do what Dylan/Brenda or Brandon/Kelly do - they don't make us believe that they are truly in love. So having to see Dylan choose Kelly over Brenda is one of the toughest things to have to endure during this show. Shannen Doherty performs top-rate in the episode's end scene, really making us believe in Brenda's heartache as the gruesome twosome shamelessly admit their summer fling. Brenda's "don't ever talk to me again" is a perfect way to end the episode, as she walks away leaving Dylan and Kelly looking unsure about their future as a couple. Memorable episode definitely, unfortunately (if you don't ship DK) for the wrong reason.
