Righteous!!
Just a small celebratory note-to-self. Today me and my pool (as in billiards) team won the regional playoffs, and got promoted to 1st class! Now,last season we rose from 3rd to 2nd class, so this was an incredibleego boost In addition, we qualified for the class-2 national championship. Ecstatic doesn't begin to cover it. We kick ass. Just came back from the Dutch premiere of Sunshine, by director Danny Boyle. This has to be one of the best sci-fi movies EVER. The first half relies heavily on emotional drama, a la BSG. In fact, it felt exactly like a BSG episode (but with a much bigger effects budget). Good stuff. The second half was trippy and action-packed in a scientific but religious way (don't know how else to put it without spoiling), with BSG-pilot-like undertones.
