Yeah I know I'm late...

I know that I'm late with this post but....

THE WRITER'S STRIKE IS OVER!!!!

Now that the only thing that would make me happier is a full season of my favorite shows. Especially Moonlight. I think that out of all the freshman shows this one deserves a full season the most. You can flame me or agree with me, but those are my thoughts.

Other than that, I'm excited that the shows are going to be starting up again. I'm not real happy that CSI NY is going to be "cooling off" on Danny and Lindsay - but hopefully it's just a lull and there will be some happy reconciliation that will lead to something more. I know that romance isn't the most important aspect of the show but it gives it a gentle constant hum.

Merry Christmas!

Happy Holidays!!! Hope everyone had or is having a magical holiday season. Mine was nice. Had a quiet day for the most part with the hubby (except for the part where he had to work) and enjoyed my gifts tremendously. Happy New Year to all~~~Hope the writer's strike is over soon.....

Have To Tell You

I don't like Coraline. I love the show Moonlight, but I don't like her character. The actress is wonderful, but there's something there......I can't put my finger on it - there's something dirty about her character. And I seriously do not like how, now that Coraline is back in the picture, that Beth has been dropped off Mick's radar...I don't know...Maybe it'll be just an arc.

I do have to say that I found Beth's narrating of last weeks episode refreshing; definately a welcome change of pace.

I hope this writers' strike is over soon......I hope it gets resolved quickly with both sides in happy agreement.

Bring Speedle Back!!!

Ok - I cannot begin to tell you just how freaking happy I was to see the preview for CSI Miami. I really truly hope they find a way to bring him back. I know they did the whole "he's dead but he's not cause he's working with the feds" with H's brother Ray but I don't think the producers realize just how happy they would make the viewers.

I love, absolutely love the character of Tim Speedle. He's funny, he's snarky, and he's loyal. Rory Cochrane plays him wonderfully! I wish that Calleigh could have seen exactly what Delko saw; I wish there wasn't the tension between them anymore -- but then again that's what makes for good storylines.

Still not sure that I like Jake. I mean, sure he's easy on the eyes; but his attitude and ethics cause me wonder.

I Absolutely Love Moonlight!!!

I have to say that I absolutely love the show Moonlight --- and what do ya know - it's on CBS! I have no love for NBC anymore. I'm finding it exceptionally hard to fall in love with new shows on that channel just cause of how they treat their viewers. It all goes back to the whole Crossing Jordan thing...Anyway....

Anyone else feeling the love for a new show?

I think this episode was a very significant episode in the series based upon the fact that there were lingering questions about how Mick finally had his mortality back, how would the show continue? I think that those questions are now answered. It was very interesting seeing Mick in non-normal situations, i.e. the beach. I believe that even with as temporary his transformation was it will push him to develop more with Beth. I loved the interaction with the characters in this episode. The development of each characters' backstory and the development their interwoven stories really keeps building. That's something that makes a really good show. One scene really touched me and that was the one between Mick and Josef. Josef to me has always seemed to be the kind of character that's only in it for himself. I mean, there was Sarah and that softened him some for me, but this episode really made me look at him in a different light. In this episode he seemed to truly care about Mick being in danger now that he wasn't a vamp anymore. I think he also knew what a sacrifice it was for Mick to give up something that he'd finally achieved after looking for it for so long.

Shannyn Sossamon
Avg Score: 8.79    Total Ratings: 75    Total Reviews: 5
Shannyn Sossamon is a wonderfully talented actress. She is definately on the top of the up and coming actresses list. Hollywood should take note of this talented woman.I remember first seeing her in A Knight's Tale, and then again in 40 Days and 40 Nights. In A Knight's Tale, she plays Heath Ledger's love interest and supports him in his attempt to become a knight. While she's not the main character, she makes her presence known and gives a memorable performance.

In 40 Day and 40 Nights, she plays Josh Harnett's love interest, after he has given up all sexual activity for Lent. In this movie she really brings her character to life. If you've seen the movie - you know.

Even though she hasn't been on her new show Moonlight in more than mere flashbacks yet, her portrayal of Mick St. John's ex wife is fantastic. Hopefully we'll get more of the story of that connection in the future of this show.

All in all, can't wait to see more of Shannyn and hope that she continues the great work that she seems to do naturally.

Sophia Myles
Avg Score: 9.20    Total Ratings: 150    Total Reviews: 3
Sophia Myles is a wonderful actress and has made her own way in Hollywood, not by taking every script that was thrown her way - but by being picky and choosy. She herself admits that she's very careful in choosing the roles that she portrays by looking at the content of the story, the cast that is already known, the director, the production company...etc. I love how she portrayed Erika in Underworld. She was sneaky, and manipulative. She knew what she wanted and stopped at nothing to get it. In Moonlight however, there's a more human quality to her character. I think this brings in the potential for more storylines about her being conflicted between her love for Josh and for Mick St. John.

Alex O'Loughlin
Avg Score: 9.79    Total Ratings: 269    Total Reviews: 25
Alex O'Loughlin is a wonderfully talented actor. He's able portray emotions through the camera, as well as be completely unreadable; not letting you know what's going on until he wants you to know.

I think his love of the vampire genre is shown in his show Moonlight. He's really made the character of Mick St. John his own, by the mannerisms, facial and body language that he's given him.

You can also tell how much he cares about things by the way he talks about them when interviewed about them. He's proud of his accomplishments and he's proud of any show that he's been on.

Moonlight and Alex are a perfect fit.

This show was perfect. We can feel Mick's pain when he tries to avoid Beth to protect her from danger - or atleast that's what he tells himself. They run into each other in the hospital and it's awkward -- even Beth's boyfriend Josh picks up on it. They both start working on separate cases, but are soon drawn together, leading Beth to question why he was avoiding her. Why, even when they are working two completely unrelated cases, they still are brought together. After deciding to work together to close both of their cases, they manage to bring a missing girl home to her parents and stop a deranged killer.

The end of the episode brings in more storyline possibilities as well as more problems and viewer love

About Me

hklatt
I'm a picky television watcher and therefore, I'm really choosey about what kind of show I watch. I tend to watch 2 or 3 episodes of a show before I decide if I like it or not. I try to give each show I think I'm going to like a chance before I decide yes or no. Other than that, I'm married with 2 dogs but no children yet. I'm really impressed with alot of the shows out there today, but I think reality TV needs to be reeled back in - there's just way too much out there. Other than that - it's just little ol' country girl me. :-)
