Address for Drea

Here is the contact address if you wish to send something to Drea's family:

The Borunda Family

c/o Springer and Son Funeral Home

PO Box 5308

Beaverton, OR 97006-5308

Her service will be held there on Thursday morning, but they will forward everything that arrives later on to the family.  Her husband has decided to take the kids back to California with his family on Friday.  We've been busy packing and making arrangements.  As much as I'm going to miss them, it will be good for them to all be together.

We're also extremely grateful for all the support shown here on the site.  This place meant so much to Andrea - all of you did.  Her family and I have been here often reading all the postings and it really helps us feel closer to her.

I know there are several ideas going around regarding some sort of tv.com memorial to her, and many are asking for my opinion.  I think her family and I both agree that whatever can be done would be an honor and we'll leave it up to the staff to decide what, if anything, is possible and appropriate.

Important Message to Myspacers about Drea

Hi Everyone.  Firstly I thank you all from the bottom of my heart for all the kind comments and PM's.  I've read most of them but am unable to answer them all just yet.

I do have a HUGE favor.  Because of some family drama, I need anyone who has a myspace page and is friends with Drea to please NOT post any comments about her passing.  I know you are all trying to show support but please keep it here on tv.com.

Many of you have asked about sending cards & stuff and I will get back to you shortly on where those can be sent.  Thank you for understanding and respecting the sensitivity of the situation!

Copied from KFCgravy's blog again

Yeah, I'm lurking and blog-stalking a little.  I'm still not sure what to do with myself.  Anyway, I thought I'd repost my blog here since, again, Drea has a TON of friends here that might not see my page...

Drea passed away a few hours ago.  Apparently there was a large blood clot in her leg that they didn't see on the MRI and as soon as they started her on blood thinners the clot broke free and lodged in her heart.  I'm too numb to type any more about it now, but I wanted you all to know.  Your prayers and this site and all of you meant so much to her.  Thank you Stu and Mary and Newbie & Sassy & Tee for your help and pm's today.

Copied from KFCgravy's Blog

I know Drea has a TON of friends here that probably wouldn't know to read my blog so I've copied & pasted it here...

Drea goes in & out of the hosipital a lot.  After a while you get used to it.  With her illness, it's almost a preventative maintenance type thing.  The Dr's gotta fix this before that happens, and fight this infection before that gets infected.  All the while knowing the infections will return, but they can be treated.

But when she was rushed to the hospital last night, it was different.  Her kids thought it was a heart attack, but the sharp pains in her chest and shallow breathing were instead, the result of pulmonary emboli - several blood clots in her lungs.  They did an MRI that showed many more blood clots in her legs and throughout her body.

As of right now, that's all I know.  I don't know what the prognosis is or how they're going to treat it or how she's feeling or if she's scared.  I don't know how her kids or her husband are doing.  I don't know how long she'll be in the hospital.  I don't even know if she wants visitors.  But I DO know she's gonna get one.  I'll be heading out this afternoon as soon as my oldest is back from school so I won't be around the site much either.  When I do hear more, I'll find a way to spread the word, but until then... Prayers, White Light, Hugs, Happy Thoughts, Eye of Newt... anything is welcome.

Week after week, I join the "dog" on his trek to rid the streets of "ice"junkies, and bond jumpers. Dwayne "Dog" Chapman and his wife/partner Beth allow us into their world, to show us how it's done. They own the "Da Kine" bail bonds company in Hawaii, and staff their business full of family and friends. Dog and two of his sons: Dwayne Lee Jr., and Leeland, along with Tim "YoungBlood" Chapman, make up the team. Tim is not a blood relative, but is considered a brother by Dog.
This group of men take to the streets, in search of those who "jump" bail. They are armed with their fists, and cans of mace alone. No one on their team carries a gun or a knife. Beth is always on the chase with them, manning the wheel, and charting the maps. She is often right in the middle of the action, when the arrests are made. Once the criminals are apprehended, Dog starts to befriend them. He questions them on how things went so wrong, as he offers them a cigarette. As he listens to their hard knocks stories, he often tears up, and volunteers to get them right back out of jail again. Beth has even offered money and jobs to those they have picked up, trying to give them help.
Dog is known on the streets of Hawaii for his work against the drug "ice", for which one of his sons is in prison for. He and Beth have a beautiful family, along with his nine other children that he brought into the marriage. I always enjoy the feeling that this show leaves me with, positive and uplifted. This group of bounty hunters don't cut off their responsibilities to their clients when they drop them off at the jail. It is like they always say "We are second chance people", it is demonstrated week after week.

Crossing Over with John Edward

I have to admit that I was addicted to this show when it first started. I took constant ribbings from my husband over it. It didnt matter though, I was hooked on this mans ability to talk to the dead.
One day, I was just sure that he was going to do a reading for me, right through the television screen.I have since changed my mind about that, and about the show.
John Edwards enjoyed a fast track to fame with this program, where he took audience members, and made them into guests. He would do a sort of monologue/history of his powers, and then begin. He would "feel" someone reaching out to him...over...HERE. Does anyone have a GRANDMA? Heads would nod, up and down, thats name begins...with...an.."R"? "Yes!, It's you, stand up here" he would say. The lucky guest would then go on to agree with each detail that he would spill out of his mouth, in astonishment. "She's standing right here, and she says to tell you she knew she was dying". "Oh, my goodness,I told everyone that she knew, but they didn't believe me!". Satisfied, her reading is over, and onto the next voice from beyond.
I was hooked onto this program for a good two months before I grew tired of the same reading, different face routine. It reminds me of the saying I like most "Fool me once, shame on you" "Fool me again, shame on me". I am no longer fooled.

Being Bobby Brown
Avg Score: 6.16    Total Ratings: 144    Total Reviews: 37

A better title would be "Exploiting Whitney Houston". She is constantly shoving a hand up in front of the camera, and hiding in the corners. Bobby, on the other hand is busy mugging for every camera pointed in his direction. When the autograph seekers are "shooed away" by his wife, he is eagerly awaiting her cast-offs. Pen in hand, he offers up his autograph instead. He usually has to explain who he is, by revealing who he's married to.
Bobby and Whitney take us long on many an eating binge. They show up in the ritziest of restaurants, and order the entire menu. After their spread arrives, they dig in, licking each others fingers and plates clean. Their dinner conversation turns to the topic of bathroom activities most times, with one of them saying how bad they need to take a poop. It is clear that neither one of these stars is sober these days. Whitneys eyes are merely slits in most scenes, and when they are open, she is angry, and on edge. Bobby just prances her around town, gloating at the lifestyle that she's allowing him. I must admit that I do have a picture of what it is like to "Be Bobby Brown" now, and it sickens me.

Divorce Court

This reality court show gets mighty ugly at times. Judge Mablean Ephriam and her sidekick bailiff Joe Catalano run the court room. Both sides are introduced, the case is briefly explained, and the "slinging" begins.
You will never be disappointed if you like drama, when you turn in to "Divorce Court". The main issues are thrown out, and answered to by the other party, with Mablean playing a referee, more than a judge. Allegations are batted back and forth, until they are basically beat to death. The good judge puts in her "two cents" whenever she feels compelled to do so. Her bailiff, Joe nods in agreement whenever prompted. After all of the conditions of divorce have been decided, she lays it down for the former couple. She usually will call one of the exes into her chambers, with Joe, and give them a peptalk as the show is ending. She gives a mini lecture about moving on with life on their own, and Joe stands in back of them, hands folded in front, nodding once again. A mixture of Springer,Oprah, and Judge Judy all packed into one courtroom.

ER
Avg Score: 8.95    Total Ratings: 6844    Total Reviews: 328
The staff at Chicago's "County General" hospital are like family now, and I have followed their lives for the last eleven years. I have seen nurse Abby Lockhart evolve from a dedicated nurse, with a wonderful bedside manner, into a fine physician. I watched as Carter rose from a resident, to an attending, to the top of his game. The road was rough, having to deal with a Vicodin addiction, his grandmother's death, a miscarriage, and the loss of many loves. Through it all, his character remained likeable, and realistic. The passing of Dr. Green left a gap in the work place that could be felt for seasons to come. Kerry's admission that she is a lesbian, and the ultimate fate of that relationship were devastating. Yet, she managed to pull it together, get her son back, and run her department with an iron fist once again.
Many medical dramas came up beside "ER", but the staying power of this original series is unparalleled. It has outlasted all others in its realm. The introduction of each new character was well scripted, and written just right, in order to fit in with this group. An amazing show.
