Lost in Space Island in the Sky Avg Score: 9.02 Total Ratings: 33 Total Reviews: 2 |
Although I noticed that "Island in the Sky" is top-ranked at this site on average, I must slightly correct that to rank it #5 for the series. It is fifth best of the first five episodes in the series, which comprise the mega-epic adventure kicking off the series. It is very true, however, that when you take the first half alone of this super classic, there is nothing better or more gripping. It's extreme drama and adventure, all the way. Overall though, it's neatly ranked at #5 overall. The teleplay for this installment was written by Norman Lessing, his only contribution during the run of the show. More top-notch, all-classic background music is introduced here again, from the legendary Johnny Williams.

Lost in Space The Derelict Avg Score: 8.07 Total Ratings: 32 Total Reviews: 2 |
This is a very high-level follow-up to the first episode, continuing right where we left off...as they pretty much all do. There are no weaknesses whatsoever in any of these first episodes of the series. It's all great drama and extremely high adventure. The incidental background music here is fabulous. Everything is fabulous. Peter Packer wrote the teleplay for this adventure, his first installment during the series. Packer would go on to write the most episodes of LosT iN SpacE. He wrote a total of twenty-five episodes. After escaping an approaching comet, the castaways run across a colossal alien spacecraft which opens up and draws the Jupier 2 spaceship inside for another thrilling tale.

Lost in Space The Reluctant Stowaway Avg Score: 8.56 Total Ratings: 41 Total Reviews: 5 Users who agree: 1 |
Well, I just discovered this site and all the feedback and information I can add. I plan to make plenty of comments, reviews, opinions, quotes and such in the months to come. One quick correction from the credits listed above on this site...Byron Morrow and Hoke Howell do NOT obviously appear anywhere during this episode. Don't know what somebody is thinking. I've seen this error before. Byron Morrow and Hoke Howell were guests far away in a Season Three episode entitled, "Time Merchant", which has absolutely nothing to do with this beauty. "The Reluctant Stowaway" is the best the series had to offer. All of classic B&W Season One is one of the very best years in television history. It's all galactic, out of this world adventure. Nothing in the series, or many other series, can approach this greatness. This is my input #1!
