Introspective

I don't know how many people remember 2 years ago. Most of you probably do.

Anyway, I was editor for some TV shows, but I wanted to get my first person editorship. Nine Inch Nails. I wanted that one so badly, because it's my favorite band. I had 36 points, but then.. let's just say "unpleasantness" happened at my house. Violence and what-not. Yelling, fighting, the usual. Add to the fact that I was working 50 hours in a sweaty grease-trap, it took me 4 days to get to a computer.

And low and behold; while I was busy dealing with life, somebody dropped out of the sky, 0-60 points, and took the NIN. So naturally I was ticked off. Not only that; this person moderated 200 People! I sent this editorship-miracle-worker a message: "Hey dude! I wanted NIN! I was so close!" Anyway, it turned out this "dude" was actually a lady, and a really nice person, and also a huge NIN fan. She took my email and disappointment in stride and decided to be my friend, and then she introduced me to KFC and I got another friend.

My life was really screwy, and I wanted something, anything positive I could focus on; I still wanted to get a person editorship. If I couldn't get my favourite band, I'd go after a band nobody wanted: Coldplay. Nobody was rushing for that editorship, so I got the 40 and that was that.
*They're okay, but they're no Nine Inch Nails.

About a year later, this lady got very sick. And passed away. And it's really not good, because there are a lot of horrible people in this world, and she was nice. A mother and a wife, and a really sweet person. I remember the last time I talked to her; I'd just lost a chance at a really good appartment, and she asked what happened. Even though I was a complete stranger, and she was sick, she wanted to know what was wrong. It's not fair and I don't understand.

"We cling to what is gone. Is there anything in this life but grief?"
"There's love. There's hope, for some; there's hope that you'll find something worthy. That your life will lead you to some joy. That after everything, you can still be surprised."
"Is that enough? Is that enough to live on?"

Like most people, I was holding onto stuff from the past, because it helps keep people alive that have passed on. I was being selfish, and I'm sorry.

There Will Be Blood .. Maybe?

-Has anybody seen the movie 'There Will Be Blood'? I've been downloading it for 2 weeks, and it's only half done. I don't even remember why I wanted to watch it. Is it any good?

-I just found this oldie from 1981 called 'The Burning', so I want to watch that tonight. It's like a merging of Ft13th and NoES; a summer camp janitor is set on fire (like Freddy), and comes back to terrorize and murder campers (like Jason). One reviewer said the movie is bloody and merciless.

-888. August 8th 2008 is lucky in Chinese culture. I have decided to pop the question to the first lady I see today*. I don't have a ring, so I will give her a screw instead. See? (takes the screw out of my shirt pocket). Oh wait, this is a bolt. I will give her a bolt instead.
*The day's half over, and the only person I've really seen was a dude in a white labcoat on a bicycle.

Gone Away

(looks around) .. I guess everybody has gone away for the long weekend. It's just me, and the fridge. (Fridges are so noisy.)

Well, summer is pretty much over for me; not that I had any time off. All work and no vacan-i-moon* for me.
*Vacation-honeymoon. It's a smlerging, like Bradiston, or Jesicfleck.

Chillin' out to the tunes of: (randomly picks a song) and (another song).

S*** and other bad words

-Okay, I have had same banner and icon for a while, so I was thinking up an idea* for new stuff. But it has a bad word I don't think the mods will like: s***. And it's not the s*** word you're thinking of; it's the other one.
*It's not really MY idea. Somebody else did it already, but I want to remake the concept into a banner.

Arrested Development fans will know what I'm talking about; George Sr. escaped prison and ran to Mexico, where he was reportedly killed. George escaped to California and with his grandson's help, he hid in the attic of their model home.

His family thinks he's dead, so they have a funeral. Lindsey gets really depressed about her father's death and stops trying to have an affair with a bounty hunter. Maebe wants to get emancipated and needs Lindsey to have that affair, so she dolls up her mother in the bright red S*** shirt for the funeral. It's a very comical situation. ..

What if I used 'Shémale' instead? Oh, and it's pronounced sh-e-mollie.

-I spent the weekend trying to build a portfolio. It didn't go so well. (I remember going to a techno club* and doing the 'What is Love?' dance for 6 hours. That was before any alcohol was consumed.)
*'Me in a techno club' is like 'a cat in a stove'.

-I reset my OS. Again. This is the second time since April. GD computer.

3 years.. really..?

-Geez, where is my mind*? I've been on this site for 3 years now! (lame joke removed) lol!
*the pixies stole it.

It's been a random day. Right as I got to work, the power went out. I can't work without power, so I wandered around for a half-hour and was about to go home so I could buy grocceries, but then the power came back.
*It goes out when it rains. Today, power came back then it started raining.

-What is up with Movietome? If you look North, you'll notice the link is gone. But if you type in the address, you'll see the site is still there, generating news and such.
And this; So IDK what to think.

-(puts on a black moustache and a red bandana) Hiho silver! To Mexico! Gidyup! (rides off into the sunset) (it's very dramatic until I fall off horse.)

Okay, I had to stop this one before it was over. It's pretty bad, unless you like mopey teen dramas (like Dawson's Creek, or the OC, or Archie, or something like that). Like I said; it's pretty bad.

The first half of the episode consists of Jane trying really hard to PO Daria, then asks for help with an unusual hair-dying job. (It's not as interesting as I just made it seem.)

Anyway, the strange love triangle that was forced into the series, it explodes here, and leaves Daria, Jane, and... uh, 'guy', all mopey and moony-eyed. Both of the typically emotionless, monotone characters are sad, and randy, and angry, and brutally honest, and back-stabbing, and filled with teenage lust. Very UN-DARIA. Out-of-character, so completely out-of-character. This episode was possibly written by Pecey himself.

(Fast-forwards through the last 10 minutes..) .... gahh. Daria goes to her mom for support.. Jane just is a rambling, incoherrent train.. and Thom makes me wish both Daria and Jane were actually lesbians. Did I mention Trent is unexplainably profound for no apparent raisin?

*Note, season finale means 'Kick the drama up a notch!!' ... well, this finale kicks it up 5 notches.

God, it was so depressing to watch Frylock die. Slowly he lost all his fries, & his cardboard got all soggy & stuff. Then he wears one of those blue 'I'm-a-kid-with-cancer' baseball caps; It was pretty sad.

Also, I did not know a box of fries could contract melanoma.

Shake had a speech which was somewhat out of character too. And just for randomness sake, they also had Andrew W.K., who happens to rock pretty decently.

This episode is sort-of like the one on South Park, when Kenny dies, but with two minor differences; Frylock did not die. And, at the end it didn't turn out that Master Shake was trying to benefit from Frylock's death (like Cartman did).

The Gargoyloids
Avg Score: 6.45    Total Ratings: 2    Total Reviews: 1
Okay, there's just a lot of problems with this episode, considering the target audience is children. I could see lots of kids learning bad examples from this one. Onto the problems:

-Racism: Jace, Jan (and Space Ghost to a lesser extent) are pretty racist against the Gargoyloids in this episode. They suggest that the bat-like creatures are inferior because they look and act differently. (Not such a good lesson to teach kids.)

-Religion: Together, the heroes destroy a religious icon of the Gargoyloids. Space Ghost himself smugly says it best: "They have lost their faith because I destroyed their idol." (So I guess what they're trying to say is 'destroy religions that are not your own.' Not so good to teach kids.)

-Violence: Lets see, a bunch of humans beating up a bunch of animals that aren't even smart enough to communicate vocally. "RSPCA? Yea, there's these kids and some 30-year-old in leotards that are kicking the crap out of some puppies." (Kids, will, attack, animals...)

-Slavery: Yea, apparently the Gargoyloids have enslaved some plants to do their bidding. (Slavery is not cool; even if the slaves are vegetation.)

-"Let's 'slpode the planet!": Another episode where Space Ghost says "F&&& this! Let's just blow up the planet!" (Kids, don't do this at home; because then we won't have a home.)

-Alien invaders: In just 6 minutes, the good guys (let's call them 'aliens') find a planet, beat up the locals, obliterate their faith, and destroy the planet (killing all the plants in the process). (.... well, I guess if that's what you want to teach kids.)

-Blip: And of course, I hate that freakin' monkey! He is always the biggest friggin' problem with this show! He sounds like a dog chew toy was recorded and chirps about fifty times an episode! (I like monkeys) BUT I HATE THIS FREAKIN' MONKEY!!!

:. I think episodes should only feature villains and their henchmen, not a harmless race of aliens that have their society torn apart by Space Ghost and his Nazi-children.

Spoilers:

Of all the episodes where all the main characters end up dead, I think this is probably my favourite. So random; a freakin' cucumber runs through the house massacring everyone, including his friends, the main characters, and some other people. Then he kills himself!

We got some Matrix horizontal flips goin' on, and some MI:ii doves flyin' around....

Oh, the plot with Woldoor, Spanky, Foxy and Clara; it's not very good, as it's mostly filler, leading up to the dramatic conclusion. (Phil Ken Sebben: Hahaha, climax!)

I sort of like the plot with Ling ling and his various sexual hyjinx. I bet Peekachu would be happy like Ling ling if he got 'sum everyone once in a while.

Oh, and I guess Hero isn't so invincible to bullets either...

I really liked the ending because it makes me laugh, so this episode gets a High Score, with it's Game Over ending.

I've never watched this show, and from the first minute I saw of this episode, I can safely say that I never will again. In under a minute, there were two, maybe three jokes against race (Oriental, and maybe others; I sort of blocked it out).

Ah, re-enforcing the tired old stereotype that all Oriental people are highly intelligent, compared to everyone else, the world's drooling infants. I don't know about America (where I assume this show is filmed), but from my experience this stereotype isn't always true: I know several people from that ethnicity who are very stupid. (One guy is a stalker, and I have a low opinion of the intelligence level of stalkers.)

Maybe in comparison to Michael Rapaport's character, all Oriental people are geniuses. THAT would be a valid point.
*I don't hate Michael Rapaport; I own one of his films. I do hate his character on this show though.

Stupid, stupid show; Give me back the minute of my life, Fox!

I guess next time I'll turn off the television during the end credits, so I'll be spared this kind of television.

And reading the recap, it seems the episode involved someone becoming President of the Chess club. What's wrong with Chess?
