I thought this was a great episode, and agree with many people, it may not have been the best finale ever - but if you're a real Nip Tuck fan, you should have heard that Season 5 was cut short to 14 episodes out of the 22 because of the writers' strike, and hence episode 14 was not originally aimed to be a finale - it just so happen to stop there. The remaining 8 episodes will now be considered as season 6 and will air in the summer 2008. There is also a season 7 (which was season 6) as well. There are too many unanswered questions just in season 5 alone; the man going round fingering patients, the old man who worked for nassa who was kidnapped, the real deal with Julia, Eden and Olivia... What did Eden say to Oliva to keep secret? And why was there need if Julia has lost her memory (or is Julia faking it? and why?). What is this Coleen all about? A lot of people think Sean might die, well that's obviously not going to happen. If you recall Season 4, that random future episode of Connor, proves that all these main characters will survive the present. And what was the future episode about? Was that episode actually the present? And the whole 7 seasons is actually a flashback (if that was, then the storyline I have to say is extrodinary! Connor being the story teller). Julia will not appear in the remaining 8 episodes (now Season 6). The script had to change as Joely Richardson had to return to the UK to look after her ill daughter, and hence Ryan Murphey had to "kill her off" for a bit. Wouldn't it be great if people like Ava, Quentin, Kit etc come back - it will lighten up the show even more. The show is still so glamourous, powerful, striving, and certainly entertaining. There has been some rather "random" cases in the show, but we should never under-estimate Nip Tuck, a show that aims to make a perfect sense. It's a clever show, and we should conclude that very soon. The slogan "a disturbingly perfect drama" says it all. I think everything happens for a reason in the show.
