In preparation for a huge trip I'm taking later this year, I've purchased three used handheld games today. For the DS, I bought The World Ends With You. For the GBA, I bought Advance Wars 2 and Fire Emblem. AW2 came free, as it was part of the "Buy 2, Get 1 Free" deal on used games at Gamestop.Having played the sequels to the two GBA games, I'm curious to see how the franchises have evolved. Recently, my jobless brother sold his 360 and all of his games to pay for gas. Shortly after, he started hanging out at the local Best Buy to play Guitar Hero: World Tour. My mom has been interested in the series as well, and she isn't a gamer at all. I told them I wouldn't object to them buying GHWT for my Wii, but I couldn't promise my Wii would always be available. Today, in order to beat the Black Friday chaos, we went out to Circuit City (Best Buy didn't have it) to buy GHWT, and we found it. I spent the last 2 hours or so trying to get accustomed to the whole thing, and I think I'm out of the "complete failure" category and into the "incompetent" area.
