Subject: Entry #184: France has nothing on me, baby.

Current Location: Home

Currently Listening To: "Walk Like An Egyptian" by Linea 77

Mood: Indescribable

France was beautiful. On the other hand, though, the kids that I went on the trip with were basically the exact opposite from me. In all honesty, I only had about three decent friends out of twenty that were on the trip. I have a fair share of friends, but hardly any of them decided to go to France. I'll try my best to recap each day, but I'm pretty tired right now, so it's going to be hard for me to remember.

The plane ride to France wasn't as bad as I expected it to be. I was honestly expecting that we were going to have our own personal televisions, but it didn't turn out that way. Instead, I spent most of my time sleeping and reading Dungeon of Death: Chris Benoit and the Hart Family Curse. For those of you who are wondering, the book isn't great, but I find anything wrestling-related enjoyable.

After getting off the plane, we literally had no time to sleep. We checked into the hotel, dropped off our luggage, and headed off to Napoleon's tomb. I found this place pretty fascinating, but due to the lighting, I barely got any pictures at all. We then climbed up to the top of the Arc de Triomphe and saw a beautiful view of Champs-Élysées. At night, we got the chance to shop at Champs-Élysées, but I didn't get anything.

On the second day, we took a bus into an area that I currently can't remember the name of. If I remember correctly, all we did was look through some museums, which I didn't care for too much. The Mona Lisa is an overwhelming sight, to say the least. Originally, I thought that it was going to be huge, but in reality, it wasn't much bigger than my laptop. What a bummer. The thing that did top off my second night in Paris was climbing up top of the Eiffel Tower. It was windy as heck up there, but it was all worth it. What an absolutely terrific view of the city from way on top of there.

We spent the majority of the third day in Versailles. Apart from some interesting Egyptian artificats, Jeff Koons' art, and Notre Dame, I didn't care much for this place, either. Not to mention, there were plenty of gypsies running around which made me especially paranoid. The dinner for this night was pretty nasty. Lamb and some wine sauce may sound good to you guys, but just the sound of it makes me want to hurl.

If there is a place that you want to spend your last day in France, it's Normandy. The four hour bus ride to get there was all worth it. You had so many historical sights there. Omaha Beach and the Normandy American Cemetery and Memorial were awesome, to say the least. If I could, I'd totally go back there again. We went to another place that I can't remember the name of where you could go inside old bunkers and everything. I even managed to get some footage of the place on video. To top my final day off in France, we went to a jazz club for about an hour.

The next day, we had a 5:20AM wake-up call. Yes, that's right. Less than five hours of sleep. Pretty horrible. Eight hour plane ride to New York didn't make that any better. After arriving in New York, we then had to take a plane back to my hometown of Boston. Flight delay in New York got me home around 6:00PM. By that time, I was pretty much dead.

Sorry about not going into much detail, but I'm honestly not into much of a mood to talk about too many of the personal issues I had going on. Ugly girls trying to flirt with me made things even more socially awkward. I honestly wanted to just spit in their faces.

Enough is enough now. I've got some chemistry homework to do for tomorrow and I've got to watch the new episode of South Park at 10:00PM. Seeing how I'm going to my first CHIKARA event this weekend, I'll probably get up another blog by the end of the month. I'm really excited to go, since I'll probably be working for that company some day. And that's all, my homies. Talk to you later. Bye.

Kametsou

Entry #183: A new country awaits me on Thursday. by Kametsou

Subject: Entry #183: A new country awaits me on Thursday.

Current Location: Home

Currently Listening To: "Astro Zombies" by The Misfits

Mood: Anxious

As you can clearly see, I stayed to my word and wrote a blog shortly before heading over to France. Despite the fact that I'm leaving in less than a week, believe it or not, I'm not even one-hundred percent ready to leave yet. In fact, I still haven't even gotten my money converted to euros. Hopefully, by the time that I leave, everything will be all set. I don't want to leave the country feeling like I forgot stuff.

People keep asking me how I feel about going. To be honest, I'm excited and anxious at the same time. Along with how beautiful Paris is, I've also heard plenty of stories about people getting things stolen from them. I'm hoping that many of the positive things cancel out with the negatives for me.

If you're wondering if I'll have internet access or not, then here's your answer. I know that I won't be bringing my laptop because it takes up too much space in my suitcase. However, one of my roommates is a big computer junkie, so maybe if he's nice enough, he'll let me use his. Then again, I hardly even know the kid, so we'll see what happens.

When I return the following Tuesday, I know for a fact that I'll have a lot of things to do. Obviously, I'm going to have to catch back up on my school work since I'm missing a few days of school for the trip. I also know that I'm going to have to write a report for the next Ring of Honor pay-per-view, Driven, on The Cool Kids' Table. That Saturday, I'm also planning on going to a CHIKARA event in Framingham with my cousin. CHIKARA's slowly becoming my favorite promotion, so I really don't want to miss out on this show. I still feel guilty for missing "AnniversarioMA" in May.

As per the rules of daylight saving time, we've got to set the clocks back an hour tonight. While some people will be sleeping in for an extra hour, I'll probably be staying up for an extra one. That's just how I am. I work at night, I guess.

I've got a couple of English projects to do tomorrow, so I'm going to try and wipe out my schedule of doing things such as watching the final episode of Digimon: Data Squad, the new episode of Hulk Hogan's Celebrity Championship Wrestling, and updating my CHIKARA 2K9 diary on the Wrestlingfigs.com Forums.

What else is on my mind now? Ah, yes. Last night was Halloween. I went out with a big group of friends and absolutely bombed a bunch of houses. Just for archivial reasons, I've got to put this in my blog. The cops pulled us over to check through our bag of stuff. When one of the cops pointed at a jar of Marshmallow Fluff and asked what it was for, my friend, Tim, replied by saying the following, "We just really like to eat Fluff on Halloween". After Tim said that I started dying laughing in front of the cops. All that the policeman had to say was "I don't think that's what it's for". If there's anything that I want to see when I look through this diary in five years, then it's got to be that. Absolutely awesome.

Switching back to the topic of going to France now, my teacher gave everyone going on the trip a big packet of all of the activities we'll be doing. One of the things that popped out at me first was visiting Napoleon's tomb. I'm a big history fanatic, so I personally can't wait to see his tomb. Even though I have my doubts, I totally hope that I can take pictures of it.

Well, as I said already, I've got quite a bit to do tonight. I better get going now. Hopefully, some AriZona Green Tea will keep me up longer than usual. I hear that the beverage has a lot of caffeine in it. My next blog will be soley based on my trip to France. I hope that you guys are looking forward to reading it as much as I am writing it. Au revoir, mes amis.

Kametsou

Entry #182: Je vais en France en trois semaines. by Kametsou

Subject: Entry #182: Je vais en France en trois semaines.

Current Location: Home

Currently Listening To: "Was it a Dream?" by 30 Seconds to Mars

Mood: Stressed

Bonjour, tout le monde. Je ne comprends pas ce que je dis? Ne vous inquiétez pas. Je doute que je vais être en mesure d'interpréter les paroles de personnes dans un autre pays, que ce soit.

I don't believe I've spoken much about this lately, but I'm pretty sure that I mentioned it in an entry, a while back. I will be going to France for an entire week on the fifth of November. At first, I was real excited to go, but now, I'm getting somewhat nervous. I'm hardly away from my parents as it is, but now, I won't be seeing them for an entire week.

Along with twenty-five other kids in my school, I'm going to be staying in a hotel that's right outside of Paris. There's only going to be three teachers, so I have no idea how they're going to be able to keep us under control. Most of us are good kids, but you never know what's going to happen in another country.

Right now, I'm in a French 4 Honors c.lass. So far, I've been getting mostly C's, but that's probably because this is my first year in an honors c.lassroom. I used to be in regular (CP) French, but after last year, the department head teacher decided that the two c.lasses should be merged together. I'm much better at writing in French than speaking it, so this will definitely be a big challenge for me.

As some of you may know, I'm an incredibly picky eater, so I have no idea what I'll be eating there. The food in France is much different than what us, Americans, eat. I'll probably try a few foreign foods, but I doubt that you'll see me going for the snails or anything peculiar like that.

Since I've still got about three weeks until I leave, I'll probably write another blog before I take off. With that being said, I'm going to stop all of the French discussion there. Instead, let me tell you some other notable things that have happened in my life lately.

I'm pretty much cartoon-free now. The new Chaotic season was turning out to be pretty awesome, but I just don't have the time to watch it much. I'll probably watch it from time to time, but I've stopped watching it weekly. Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's got old pretty quickly. The theme song is sweet, but I'm starting to find the episodes to be pretty repetitive. Again, I'll probably watch this series every once in a while. It's not bad, by any means, but it's not my type. As soon as Digimon: Data Squad finishes up, then that'll most likely be the end of my anime fandom.

Wrestling, along with the Red Sox have been my main focuses, as of late. The Sox managed to pull off a remarkable win on Thursday night, coming from behind with the final score being eight to seven. Beckett's pitching for the Red Sox tonight. If they lose, then they're out of the play-offs. However, if they win, then Jon Lester will take the hill tomorrow with the winner of the game going on to the World Series against the Phillies. As for wrestling, the debut of Hulk Hogan's Celebrity Championship Wrestling starts in twenty minutes. I can't wait to see what this show's all about. I've never been a big Hogan fan, but I'm not going to judge a book by it's cover.

Today, I took the PSATs. Even though they didn't mean much, last year, I did terrible on them. I think I did a decent job on them this time around, though. It's usually the opposite, but I found the English portion much easier than the math part. I'll be getting my results in December. I'm not sure when the actual SATs are, but I know that they're coming up soon.

On Thursday, I'll be going on my first field trip in quite some time. My English teacher organized a field trip that has us going to Mary Warren's house, which is right by Salem. We're reading The Crucible in c.lass right now. Anything outside of school is great, so I'm really looking forward to getting out of c.lass for a day.

I've decided to put the can on Picture of the Day, just because I've completely run out of ideas for different images to use. I know that some of you liked that part of the blog, but you're going to have to deal without it until I my two-hundredth entry, which will be my last one.

Guys, that's all for today's blog. I'm pretty sure that I've got some plans for tomorrow, so I've got to get started on a bulk of my homework. I'll be sure to post at least one more blog up before I head off to France. Until next time, take care, my friends.

Kametsou

Entry #181: The end of an era. by Kametsou

Subject: Entry #181: The end of an era.

Current Location: Home

Currently Listening To: "A Passage in Time" by Authority Zero

Mood: Exhausted

I apologize for keeping this blog relatively short, but it's already close to midnight and I've still got to do a couple of things before I go to bed. I promise to make my next blog much longer than this one.

Anyways, over the last couple of weeks, I've been thinking about my future. I've been thinking about how I would have to start dropping down on spending so much money on anime merchandise. Eventually, I came to the conclusion that I would officially can my Top-10 Favorite Shows List.

Now, obviously, this doesn't mean much to most of you. In fact, I'm sure that most of you probably have no idea what I'm talking about. Well, to keep things short, back on TV Tome, I used to regularly update my list, along with my friends, Matt and Jonathan. Aside from just posting down our favorite current shows, we'd also pick a character from a particular series and basically role-play as them.

I know for a fact that Jonathan stopped keeping up with his list, a long time ago. However, I remember seeing Matt update his recently on his LiveJournal page. I used to maintain my list on my blog, as well, but I officially deleted it today. From now on, I'm no longer going to keep a top-ten list. I'm just going to start watching television shows whenever I feel like it.

"The end of an era" is almost an understatement for this blog title. I mean, I've been maintaining this list for over five years now. And well, today, it just ended. Do I feel sad? Not really. I think I'm really starting to realize how much I'm starting to grow up as a person.

Wrestling and sports have basically taken up my life now. I don't have the time for watching cartoons much any more. I'm trying my best to watch Chaotic: M'arrillian Invasion and Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's regularly, but I can't say I'm all that interested in either of the series. My bedroom's quickly starting to change from an anime-themed one that's filled with wrestling and sports. Maybe my destiny really is to become a professional wrestler? I don't know, but I hope so.

Today's POTD is a photograph of the new Ring of Honor Tag-Team Champions, El Generico and Kevin Steen. I was fortunate enough to see this duo win ROH gold for the first time at an ROH pay-per-view taping in Boston, this past Friday. I had a phenominal time at the event, and marked-out like crazy when Steenerico won the titles.

With so much change going on, I guess I'm going to have to officially tell you all that I've made my final decision on stopping my blog at the two-hundredth post. I don't think too many people read this any more and I've just got to move on. I'll get into further detail on this situation later, but right now, I've got to go. Thanks for reading, friends. Good night.
___________________________________________

___________________________________________

Kametsou

Subject: Entry #180: My ferocious fall TV schedule.

Current Location: Home

Currently Listening To: "Shark Ethic" by Most Precious Blood

Mood: Busy

Instead of writing a formal blog, I'm going to post my television schedule for the fall. I believe I did this last fall, as well, so I'm going to go along and continue the trend. With a lot of new series being aired, I'll probably be paying a lot of attention to my television set very soon. Obviously, I'm not going to be watching all of these shows weekly, but if I had enough time to, I probably would.

Mondays:
9:00PM - Heroes (NBC)
9:00PM - WWE Raw (USA)
9:30PM - Digimon: Data Squad (Toon Disney)

Tuesdays:
9:00PM - Dancing with the Stars (ABC)
9:00PM - ECW (Sci-Fi)

Wednesdays:
8:00PM - House (FOX)
9:00PM - Deal or No Deal (NBC)
10:00PM - South Park (Comedy Central)

Thursdays:
8:00PM - My Name is Earl (NBC)
9:00PM - The Office (NBC)
9:00PM - TNA iMPACT! (Spike)

Fridays:
8:00PM - Everybody Hates Chris (CW)
8:00PM - WWE SmackDown! (MNT)

Saturdays:
8:00AM - Viva Piñata (CW)
8:30AM - GoGORiki (CW)
9:30AM - Pokémon: Battle Dimension
10:00AM - Chaotic: M'arrillian Invasion (FOX)
10:30AM - Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's (CW)
11:00AM - Kirby: Right Back at Ya! (FOX)
8:00PM - Dateline NBC (NBC)

Sundays:
8:00PM - Extreme Makeover: Home Edition (ABC)
9:00PM - Cold Case (CBS)

Unknown Timeslots:
- Blue Dragon (CN)
- Underfist (CN)

Keep in mind that I probably won't even keep up with more than half of these shows, but these are definitely the ones that I'd like to watch. If you see two shows on at the same time on my list, that means that I'll probably switch back and forth between the programs at commercial breaks.

I decided not to go with a POTD for today, because I simply didn't feel like it. I'll resume doing them next blog, since it appears that some people find them interesting to look at. That's really all that I've got to say for today. I hope that you all have a great weekend. Ciao.

Kametsou

Entry #179: Mother, I want to grow a mullet. by Kametsou

Subject: Entry #179: Mother, I want to grow a mullet.

Current Location: Home

Currently Listening To: "The Lights" by All Left Out

Mood: Satisfied

I've brought up the fact that I've definitely noticed some changes with myself, over the past few years. As of late, however, some things have definitely happened to me, making me realize just how much older that I'm beginning to get. Instead of simply listing these things, I'm going to try and tie in some stories with them, just so that it makes things a little more interesting.

About three weeks ago, I received a phone call from one of the stores I applied to work for in the summer. I really didn't want to start working after the summer ended, but I decided to take the offer, and go for an interview, just for the heck of it. Upon the day that I got interviewed, I received the job (I'm so awesome, aren't I?). With that being said, I've been working at my local dry cleaning store for a few weeks now.

Training has been going by pretty quickly, and I even received my first paycheck last week. It was only for a little over eighty bucks, but this week, I'm expecting to make over one-hundred, since I was at the store for over thirty hours. Keep in mind that the minimum wage in Massachusetts is eight smackers.

According to my manager, I could begin working by myself next week. Just by receiving my own job and making my own money, I'm really beginning to feel a lot more mature than I previously was. I actually wouldn't mind doing something like this for a living, but obviously, I wouldn't get very far. Besides, the idea of becoming a professional wrestler is still being thrown around in my mind.

I'm already starting to drive around my neighborhood. I have yet to crash into anything yet, so that's definitely a good start. My parents are making me save up the money that I'm making at work so that I'll be able to afford both, a car, as well as gas. Once I get my own car, I'm pretty sure that I won't be sticking around my house much. As of late, I've been really getting sick of being at home.

Speaking of driving, I've basically given up on the girl that I met at driving school. Based on her Facebook comments, I've come to realize that she thinks that she's the hottest thing, since sliced bread. As for other girls that I've come across, there's a couple that I've been looking at. The first one is a sophomore, who my cousin's pretty good friends with. Not only is she attractive, but she seems to have a great personality. I'd love to hook up with her, just to see what she's like. There's also a new freshman that I've been keeping my eye on, who goes to the same taekwondo school as me. Really pretty kid, I must say. Surprisingly, she's hanging out with a lot of popular freshmen, so I don't know if I stand a real chance. Then again, when you're two years older than someone, you've got a pretty good advantage.

So, yeah, I went back to school, this past week. I believe it was on Wednesday, to be exact. All of my teachers seem to be really great so far, but obviously, some are good actors, and my opinions on them could change quickly. Unlike last year, I've got a lot of friends in nearly all of my c.lasses, so that's a big thumbs up, as well.

After hearing so many great things about the flick, I picked up Fight Club on DVD, last week. Turns out that the movie absolutely blew me away. Edward Norton's got to be one of my favorite actors right now. Anyways, I've already started reading the book, which I've heard is even better than the film.

Moving on, as the title implies, I'm considering growing a mullet. After telling my mother what I wanted to do, she looked at me like I was crazy. She seems to be alright with it for now, but I don't know how much my father will approve of it. I don't know why I want to grow one, but I'm going for it. A few years ago, I would've never thought about doing such a thing.

For POTD, I decided to go with the eight rules that Tyler Durden brings up in Fight Club. Based on my own knowledge, I don't believe that these rules mean much. However, when Project Mayhem is created, the rules drastically change. I don't know why, but these rules remind me of the ones that Napoleon creates in Animal Farm. I've seen a couple of shirts printed with Durden's rules on them. I'd pick one up, myself, but I don't think my teachers would appreciate it very much if I had stuff about fights on my clothing.

Sorry about the lack of depth in this blog post. I basically just wrote it up, because I haven't written one in quite a while. It's also come to my knowledge that there aren't many people reading my posts anymore. With that being said, I'm seriously considering about stopping this blog at my two-hundredth entry. You can all expect another blog update from me within the next couple of weeks. Until next time, farewell, friends.
___________________________________________

Picture of the Day

___________________________________________

Kametsou

Entry #178: I don't believe that anybody feels the way I do about you now. by Kametsou

Subject: Entry #178: I don't believe that anybody feels the way I do about you now.

Current Location: Home

Currently Listening To: "Handlebars" by The Flobots

Mood: Okay

For those of you who are familiar with the British rock band, Oasis, you'll know that I ripped my blog title right from a lyric of their song called, "Wonderwall". As much as I like the Beatles and many of their songs, "Wonderwall" is easily my favorite song of all-time. Not only is the beat to the song amazing, but the lyrics are something that I can relate to.

Before I go into further detail about these song lyrics, I want to tell you all that I have received a huge promotion, regarding a popular wrestling website. As of about two weeks ago, I have become the WWE pay-per-view reviewer of TheCoolKidsTable.net. After receiving this position, I came to the decision to end my wrestling simulation diary on a forum that I've been posting on for a while now. Anyways, I posted my first review for WWE's most recent episode of Saturday Night's Main Event, last Sunday, so please check it out on the main website.

If you're interested in seeing what I look like, hop onto TheCoolKidsTable.net, and click on "Contact The Cool Kids". My name is Anthony Perillo. This is a pretty recent picture of me, so you guys can get a pretty good idea of what I look like right now. Did you expect me to look like that? Tell me what you think. LOL.

As usual, over summer vacation, my school assigns summer reading. I have already read two books, which were The Crucible and The Red Badge of Courage. Right now, I'm on my final book, which is Their Eyes Were Watching God. I'm about half-way through my final book, so I hope to finish it by the end of the weekend.

Moving on, last week, one of my taekwondo teachers brought up the idea of having me working for the school again. Due to the fact that hardly any of the stores I applied to got back to me, I gladly accepted the job. I am currently working there from 4:00PM to 8:30PM on Wednedsay. This will continue, until the winter.

Since I seem to be in the mood for talking about taekwondo, I will be finally testing for my black belt next Friday. I have been training for this test for nearly five years now, and am confident that I will be able to do well on it. There's a lot of pressure on my back, but I know that if I remain calm and stay focused, then I will do just fine. Wish me luck, guys.

Going back to the whole Oasis song, last week, I finished up all of my driver's education c.lasses. When I first enrolled in the c.lass I thought that things were going to be horrible and boring. Little did I know that the c.lasses would be some of the best things I've done all summer. Boy, does that sound pathetic.

The teacher of the driving school c.lass was pretty laid-back. She would swear constantly (which everyone got a laugh out of), smoke once every hour, and have us watch movies the entire time. She was a pretty nice woman, and every one got along with her well. Most of the kids in the c.lass were also pretty cool, as well. I knew one of the guys from taekwondo, and hung out with him on our lunch breaks and whatnot. I haven't seen that kid for nearly a year now, and boy, does he act different outside of taekwondo c.lass. Don't think of that as bad thing, I guess.

By this point, I'm guessing that you guys are wondering how "Wonderwall" has to do with some stupid driver's education c.lasses, right? Well, here's how it ties in. On the second day of driving school, a new girl joined in our c.lasses. When I first saw her, I couldn't believe how beautiful she was. Now, I've seen a lot of hot girls in my lifetime, but this chick took the cake for the best-looking.

Over the next few days, I also began to realize that she had a great personality. I would occasionally talk with her, but I'd see her chatting with the other guys a little more. That's when I realized that she probably liked the others more than me. Whether it was based on looks, or just overall personality, I wasn't sure. I'm pretty quiet in public, so maybe she didn't feel comfortable talking with me. While she talked with the other guys a little more than she did with me, "I don't believe that anybody [felt] the way I [did] about her". Get it now? Pretty lame, I know.

When driving school was all over, all of us added eachother on Facebook, so that we could keep in touch with one another. I know for a fact that I'm great at talking to people online, so I figured that I'd have a distinct advantage if I spoke with her through the internet. After not signing onto her AIM screen name for several days, I decided to send her a comment on Facebook. Basically, all I wrote was "Hey, how've you been"?

I waited about two days for response, and after seeing that she had replied to other's comments and not mine, I deleted the comment I sent to her. Right now, I'm a little heart-broken, but I'm pretty sure that this girl never had any interest in me at all. In a few weeks, if I ever see her on AIM, I may send her an instant message, and we'll see what goes on from there.

For some reason, there are girls like me a lot, but there are also quite a few that couldn't care a darn about me. Maybe I'm a little too young to be thinking about all these possibilities in future relationships, but whatever. We'll see what happens with this driving school girl, I guess. At first, I thought I had a 50% chance at going out with her, but now, I'd definitely say that it's trimmed down to about 20%. Gee, does that make me feel bad. LOL.

Today's POTD is an image of the character, Maxxor, from the 4Kids TV series, Chaotic. If you've seen this show before, you may notice that the animation s.tyle for Maxxor is quite different than you've normally seen him appear. That's because the artists for Chaotic have decided to change their original flash animation look to a much more cooler, 2-D s.tyle One of the main reasons that I haven't watched Chaotic as much as I'd like to is due to the fact that the animation bothers me so much. With this new s.tyle, I may actually start watching the series again. Is there a possibility that it could even make it into my Top-Ten Favorite Shows list? I don't see why not. Ever since Blue Dragon has been taken off air, I haven't really enjoyed watching the series on Toonami Jetstream. I'll be sure to update you guys on my decision at a later time.

I don't know why, but I felt a little off when I was writing this blog today. If I made any unusual grammar errors, I'm truly sorry. I guess that's all for now, my friends. Thanks for reading, as usual.
___________________________________________

Picture of the Day

___________________________________________

Kametsou

Entry #177: My long history with Avatar: The Last Airbender. by Kametsou

Subject: Entry #177: My long history with Avatar: The Last Airbender.

Current Location: Home

Currently Listening To: "Leave the Memories Alone" by Fuel

Mood: Irritated

Instead of going on about how I've been feeling, as of late, I'm going to dedicate this entire blog to one of my favorite animated series of all-time, Avatar: The Last Airbender. I have a very long line of history with this series, and would be more than glad to tell you all some of it.

The first time I ever heard about Avatar was on TV Tome. One day, I was really bored, and looked into the section, "Upcoming Series". After clicking on the section, I skimmed through all of the new series coming. I wanted to check out the new animated series, so I headed down to the "Nickelodeon" divider, and that's when I saw the text, "Avatar: The Last Airbender".

I quickly read through the show synopsis. I remember it being rather small in length, and not being all that interested in it. However, when I saw the promotional video for it air at my aunt's house in New York, I knew that this series was going to be for me.

From that moment in time on, I tried to get my hands on the guide before the show became popular to the public. On February 21st, 2005, I watched the pilot episode, "The Boy in the Iceberg", in awe. At the same time, my good TV Tome friend, Jake (Jamminjake), had also finished watching the pilot episode. Just like myself, he enjoyed the pilot episode a lot.

Days later, Jake and I met up on AIM, and we both expressed our interest in becoming Editor of the guide. Since the Editor of the guide wasn't doing much, Jake and I came up with a plan to get him removed. Within a week, Jake became the new Editor of the guide, and I became the Co-Editor.

Despite our different opinions on making a format for the guide, Jake and I continued to successfully work on it until TV Tome's demise in 2005. Before TV Tome officially shut down, I created a forum called "The Un-Official Avatar: The Last Airbender Proboard". I know for a fact that this was the first Avatar forum ever created. Not only was the forum incredibly successful (more than five-hundred members), but I also made some great friends there. Special shout-outs to Arashi, Avatarfan001, and GIZ. The board closed down in early-2007, due to lack of activity, and was replaced with the late "Entertainment Galore" (which also recently shut down).

Anyways, for a short period of time, I was the sole Editor of the guide at TV.com. After getting thousands of submissions weekly, I made the hard decision to retire from the guide, thus handing it back down to my good friend, Jake. Shortly after giving him complete power over the guide, he quit TV.com for nearly a year, after being unhappy with the amount of glitches in the system.

Shortly after retiring from the guide, I'm pretty sure that Jake stopped watching the series. However, I didn't. Avatar: The Last Airbender remainded one of my favorite animated series, and I used to watch the new episodes, as soon as they aired on Nick. Just last year, my dedication to the series also sparked my sister's interest in it. She's not a fan of any of the shows I watch, so this was truly surprising to me.

As many of you may know, last night, the final episodes of Avatar aired, being compiled into a movie called Sozin's Comet: The Final Battle. As expected by many, the movie was phenominal on so many levels. I still can't believe that the series is actually over now.

Without a doubt, Avatar: The Last Airbender will always hold a special place in my heart. I will never forget Aang, his friends, and all their wild adventures together. Rest in peace, Avatar: The Last Airbender. Good-bye, for now.
___________________________________________

Picture of the Day

___________________________________________

Kametsou

Entry #176: My head is killing me! by Kametsou

Subject: Entry #176: My head is killing me!

Current Location: Home (On the Family Laptop)

Currently Listening To: "Evenflow" by Pearl Jam

Mood: Exhausted

Before school ended, I couldn't wait for the summer to come, as I knew that I wouldn't be so stressed out. However, now that it's actually summer, my life's been anything but less stressful. Like seriously, I'm constantly getting headaches now, and I can't even get more than four hours of sleep every night.

Lately, I just haven't been up to do anything. Not because I don't want to, but because mentally, I just feel like absolute garbage. I don't know what's wrong with me, but I'm afraid to tell anyone, because the last thing I want to do is spend time at the doctor's office, or even worse, the hospital. If this keeps up for the next couple of weeks, then I'm going to have to talk to my psychologist about things.

Anyways, school officially got out on the seventeenth of June, which means that I've been out of school for exactly a week now. For some reason, it seems like I've been out of school longer, so I guess that's a good thing. I ended up getting my last report card of the year today, and my final results weren't great.

My sophomore year of high school couldn't have been any worse. I easily had the worst teacher I've ever had in algebra, as well as some really difficult ones in a numerous of other c.lasses. For junior year, I've got some really great teachers. How do I know that? Not only do I know most of them, personally, but my math teacher was my tutor for sophomore year, while my history teacher was my JV soccer coach last year. I also don't have much summer work to do this year, which is definately a positive thing for me.

Ever since school ended, I've been looking for jobs. Unfortunately, the one at Target didn't fall through. Right now, Anton's Cleaners and Hannaford Supermarket seemed to show the most interest in hiring me. In fact, I expect to get one of those jobs by the end of the week. Whatever the job may be, I'll be glad to work for them, as I'd rather do anything than sit in front of my computer for hours on end.

This weekend, my mother, my sister, and I, plan on going up to New York. I haven't seen my grandmother in nearly a year, and she'd probably get angry at me if I didn't make the trip up there this time. I believe she plans on returning home with us, as well, since she claims that she has "nothing" to do at home. Hopefully, I'll get the ROH DVD I just ordered soon, so that I can watch it on the way there.

Just today, one of my friends invited me to a Pearl Jam concert on Saturday. With that being said, even if I don't wind up going to New York, then I'll get the chance to see one of my favorite bands for the first time. The main reason that I'm not ecstatic about going is because I don't feel comfortable being around my friend late at night, since I know that he smokes frequently. I'm totally against drugs and alcohol, so if he does any of that stuff around me, then I'm taking off. LOL.

I expect July to be a much better month than June was, since the final episodes of Avatar: The Last Airbender are airing, and I'll probably be employed by then, as well. Basically, as long as I can keep myself busy with things, then I'll start feeling better than I did before. As stupid as this sounds, I think that doing nothing all day is the reason for my head feeling like crap.

Today's POTD is a screenshot from the last episode of Avatar: The Last Airbender that aired in the United States. I believe it was called "The Day of Black Sun". For those who don't know already, Nick will be airing the remaining episodes of Avatar all week long, starting on the fourteenth of July. Avatar is the only remaining show that I still watch on Nick, so after the series is finished, I'm going to leave behind loads of memories. Nevertheless, I'm still really looking forward to seeing the episodes on television.

From now on, I'm going to try and write blogs much more frequently. That is, until the summer's over, anyways. I hope that you all enjoyed reading this blog. Good-bye, my friends. Expect to see a new write-up from me soon.
___________________________________________
Picture of the Day

___________________________________________

Kametsou

Entry #175: I'm starting to get older, and it's showing. by Kametsou

Subject: Entry #175: I'm starting to get older, and it's showing.

Current Location: Home (On My Sister's Laptop)

Currently Listening To: "Orange Crush" by REM

Mood: Indifferent

I'm home alone right now. My mother's working, and my father and sister went to a soccer game. Right now, I'm using my sister's new laptop, which is something that she'd definately be angry about. With that being said, I hope to finish this blog up before she and my father return home.

At this very moment, I'm watching the new episode of Blue Dragon on Cartoon Network. To be honest with you, I thought I'd like this series much more than I currently am. Sure, it's pretty good, but I don't know if it's really my type of my series.

I don't entirely blame this on Blue Dragon, however, I blame it on myself. As of recently, I've been really picky about watching new cartoon and anime series. While some, like Chowder and Chop Socky Chooks seem to be pretty good series, I just haven't had much desire to check them out. To be honest with you all, I really think that I'm starting to lose interest in cartoons. I guess that's just part of becoming older, though. As of right now, Death Note is the only cartoon that has me hooked. Not to mention, that's targeted towards an older audience.

As you could have already guessed, wrestling and school have really been the biggest things on my mind lately. Television is something that I'll watch every now and then, but I just won't enjoy it as much as I used to.

My final exams in school begin on Wedneday and will end on Friday. Testing was also supposed to happen on Monday, but my biology teacher was nice enough to not give us an exam.

It's really hard to believe that another year of school has passed by me yet again. Next year, I'll be a junior already. I swear, it feels like I just entered high school, a few months ago. It just goes to show you that you have to enjoy life as much as you can when you're younger. The thought of me possibly never seeing my friends again is awfully saddening.

Last year's summer was pretty fun, but I really didn't do much, other than playing Diamond on DS with my cousin. The online play for that game really did kill a crap-load of time. This year, on the other hand, I'll most likely be working at Target daily, along with getting in my driving hours, so that I can finally start hitting the road via motor vehicle.

Another thing that I'm definately going to start doing is weight lifting. I plan on joining the wrestling team in the winter, and definately need to bulk up a bit. Even though I'm nearly six feet tall, I only weigh around one-hundred twenty, and am pretty scrawny. I've got a lot of fighting experience from taekwondo, so I'm not worried about my form. However, form only goes so far, when you're a small kid. LOL.

I don't tell this to a lot of people, but I plan on becoming a professional wrestler once I get out of high school. With that being said, I can't expect to be successful in that profession if I'm skinniest man in the entire sport. Then again, maybe I could make a gimmick out of that. Just kidding.

Today's POTD is a screenshot of the new and upcoming game for the Nintendo DS, Viva Piñata: Pocket Paradise. I used to be a huge fan of the cartoon on 4Kids TV, so I'm really looking forward to this game. I heard how awesome the original game was for the Xbox 360, so there's no doubt in my mind that Rare's going to create another awesome game. The game is currently scheduled for a September release, which means that I'll have more than enough time to beat Liberty City Stories.

By the next time I write a blog, I'll probably be out of school, which easily leaves me with a grin on my face. By that time, I'll probably also be employed, so I'll have some pretty good stories to share with you all. Until next time, take care, everyone.
___________________________________________

Picture of the Day

___________________________________________

Kametsou
