'Army Wives' to Honor Real Army Wives (external) To kick off the July 4th week and festivities, the Lifetime hit drama series Army Wives will host a red carpet event plus an advanced screening of an upcoming episode to recognize and honor the inspiration behind the show, the true-to-life army wives. The event, which will take place at the Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, D.C. on July 1, is scheduled to begin with a red carpet ceremony, immediately followed by the reception and screening.
