    The Bottom Line: "Terrible"

Aaron Sorkin has managed to turn a promising premise and a talented cast into be frank, what is a pile of dogs droppings. Where can I start?

The show, which is about a 'sketch' show, has one problem. None of the sketches are even funny. We're talking about sketches worse than those on The 1/2 Hour News hour. The show is full of sexism, and intolerance of Christians. There are few likable characters.

The plots are boring, and the subplots are even worse. The show comes across as being more pompous and self-righteous and self-congratulatory than an episode of The O'Reilly Factor. Ugh.

    The Bottom Line: "Superb"

Secrets of a Small Town is set in the palatial seaside community of Santa Ruiz, and follows influential cable news reporter Bethany Steele after she returns to her hometown, following a shocking murder of a high school cheerleader, and the kidnapping of her identical twin sisters. The pilot boasted an array of talented actors, including Angie Harmon, John Terry and Denise Richards, all of whom brought uniqueness and flair to their roles.

The show had strong writing, and good music which really added to the scenes. It's just a shame ABC wasn't smart enough to pick up this pilot for series order.

    The Bottom Line: "Good"

Lost started out great, it's first season was simply fantastic, and I was obsessed with the show then. It was untouchable. However, once the second season began, the show reached it's peak, and it was all down hill from then on.

The storyline to 'The others' which was very promising in the first season, went in the wrong direction, and since then, lost has featured more dropped plotlines to count, and many pointless plots - such as ramming the tail section survivors into the cast in Season 2, at the expense of established characters only to have either killed off or forgotten about all of the tail section survivors by early sesaon 3. Many good characters who still had plenty to add to the show(Shannon, Libby) were killed off for no reason other than ratings hype, while many pointless characters (Nikki, Paulo) were also added for nothing but ratings hype. Lost is heading fast downhill - as are its ratings.

    What annoys me ...

    What annoys me ...

Cliffhanger Endings To Episodes That Are Never Resolved!

They have always bugged me to no end. Why bother writing a cliff hanger if you never plan on following up on it? Two of the worst offenders:

    1) Lost - In a dramatic ending, Jack asks Ana Lucia to train an army to presumably take on the others. After this, the issue of the army is never mentioned, and Ana Lucia is later killed off and forgotten about.

    2) 24 - A pivotal character, Charles Logan, flatlines in an ambulance after being stabbed by his ex-wife. No mention of Charles, nor his wife, is ever made again.
