    The Bottom Line: "Great"

This second movie since the end of the great SG1 series was clearly more hyped than the first one. Two major reasons for this were the return of the Goa'uld, who the fans always prefered to the Ori and of course, the presence of Richard Dean Anderson, back as the one and only Jack O`Neil.
I was exicted with Jack`s return but it turned out to be a major dissapointment for me. He was in the movie for some 10 minutes..we had some classic Jack one liners and that`s it. We never got to see him in action..dissapointing given that they did much promotion around RDA`s presence in this movie. I wanted to see Jack- Ba'al/Teal`c/Sam/Daniel interactions..got very few of these.
I usually ignore some flaws here and there and just enjoy but some here were difficult to overlook. Daniel is one legged at a point and all in form with two legs by the end?? Another dissapointment was Baa`l getting killed by Quetesh rather early and without a fight.
But other than that, the movie was a fun adventure. It was great to see the team again..the cast is still doing great. Having the whole Goa'uld thing again was nice. Also great to see Cliff Simons (Baa`l) again as well as the General Hammond (RIP Don S Davis). Special effects were good. Story itself was solid. They did a good job with Vala..having Quetesh back was the most effective way to use her. Interesting to see Teal`c as first prime again even if he was nowhere near as "bad" as he was when first prime of Apophis (nice to see him too), but it was actually good cause the "bad Teal`c" and Baa`l just killing everyhing to conquer was done before but here it was a little different.
We didn`t get closure. There is still room for more stories. I want more SG1 movies but new adventures. I don`t want to see a fight agaisnt the Goa'uld or Ori again..give us fresh stuff. Hopefully there will be more movies...featuring RDA, much more this time.

Overall Continuum was a fun ride with some dissapointments. I think Ark of truth was actually better which is ironic because Goa'uld storylines were always better than Ori storylines..not really the case here. Still worth having and fingers cross for more.

    The Bottom Line: "Superb"

After the boring Dexter dealing with Rita`s pregnancy, marriage and Camilla angles, things are finally moving in the right direction.
So they are really going towards the Dexter vs. Miguel storyline. Well it was bound to happen and I guess it is for the best interest of the show itself.
Miguel did kill Ellen, no suprise here as the character gets darker and darker. Just like with Lila and Rudy, we have another killer who actually makes Dexter looks like the good guy. For once this season, Harry was not frustrating, he was really getting on my nerves in previous episodes. Not much about marriage, hormones and other pregnacy things..it`s all for the good of the show.
Subplot about the skinner was great this time around. I said I would be dissapointed if the Skinner were to be Quin cause that would be too preditible. Well the fact that there prime suspect was actually the Skinner is even more dissapointing. But anyway the good thing is that the Skinner story is about to colide the Dexter- Miguel (probably deadly) conflict. They teased a Dexter break-down..I actually bought it, hilarious stuff. Also loved the politics (wise, insight, follow the lead)by Miguel as he manipulates both Rita and Dex.
Awesome epiosde BUT I have some big reserves on the direction things are about to take.
The Dexter-Miguel friendship is past thing now, at least for now. Doesn`t that just bring another Doakes situation? I didn`t want to see Doakes go last season, but the situation he was into totally condemned him..it was obvious he would die. Now, Miguel have manipulated Dexter, used him and Dexter is a problem for Miguel...doesn`t that put Miguel in a "Doakes Situation"? I sure as hell hope not cause first, that would be lame & repetitive and second, I think Miguel has the potential to go futher than this season. I do hope they work something acceptable here and don`t mess up things like last season.
Anyway, the show looks like it`s back to best (at least for now). I guess it is the start of a deadly game between Dexter and Miguel. Skinner will definitly get into it..he had that unrecorded conversation with Miguel, my guess is that Miguel realised Dex is a problem and asked for his Death.
Besides what about Quinn? There were much build-up around him..still think there`s something weird with him. Wonder if we know everything about the Oscar-Freeboo situation...Miguel may not be a total stranger to what happened.

    The Bottom Line: "Perfect"

Last week, the gang left us with a huge cliffhanger as the General found out they had Scylla. This episode was all about action, suspense, twists and turns...it was nail bitting and left me on the edge of my seat from start to end..typical Prison Break stuffs.
The long awaited confrontation between the General and the gang did not dissapoint. A good part of the episode was actually about the General getting owned big time and it was great. There were some good interations with the General trying to manipulate the gang. Total lockdown in the company`s headquarter build up big suspense and Scofield did it again.
Even Sara was ok this time around. It was nice to see Graham McTavish as the company`s hitman...I hope they keep him...comapny needs a relevant hitman. Fun thing his character ot fooled at the airport with "All's Well That Ends Well" book in Scofield's bag tho.
Meanwhile Gretchen did not go the soft way with the hostages, although she is not very good with a Machine gun, but there`s nothing more bizarre than T-Bag with a gun, I prefer him with Screwdrivers. :) Speaking of whom, since last episode, it looks like T-Bag is rethinking his plans and wants to get away from the mess. So which direction will he take?
On the the final scene. Of course most people realise the happy ending thing was total BS, there are still some episodes left here. Self betrays the gang. Was it predictible? Well to some extend yes. I didn`t pay attention to the episode title but the moment he went to meet Trishanne..well it was clear the would turn on them. Trishane dies (**Cries**). I liked her, Shannon Lucio is hot and the character was ...well interesting. But it was obvious she`d die soon the moment it was revealed she was working with Self. As for the latter`s betrayal, it makes sense. There no real character development on him..there was very little revealed, maybe only his Wife`s death. Besides, the good cop fighting all alone since 5 years thing...a little too convinient. The things takes a new direction as Prison break gets more and more exicting. The blank papers in the end was a nice was way to put it...they are screwed once again. Self has the law on his side..they will be on the run again. T-Bag will probably get a deal out of the situation. Bring on the next one.

    Schindler's List + Other News.

    Schindler's List

I know I`m extremely late. Bought the Dvd only yesterday but was still not really in eager to watch it, that black and white stuff kinda make me feel off and thought I would not like it. But on Anbis` recommendation, I watched it and hell HOW WRONG WAS I ABOUT THIS MOVIE. It`s not only excellent but now simply on the top of my all time favorite movies list...a masterpiece from beginning to end.
The black and white effect is a genius strike, brings so much effect and realism to the movie. The story is intense, captivating, very emotional (yes Anke, I cried too ) , with so much energy and more importantly, it was based on real fact . Schindler is an absolute legend.

The acting, writing and directing is simply amazing. Definitely my all time fave movie now.

    And....

I`ve also rewatched the Downfall (Untergang, Der ) on the way, and I don`t know to what extend this movie is accurate but find it very insightfull and it`s still one of my fave. Bruno Ganz, hats off!! Probably the best acting performance I`ve seen in a movie. (Following pic is to scare off Anbis )

My top 4 favorite Movies (in order of preference) are now:

    1.Schindler`s List.

    2.Downfall

    3.Saving Private Ryan.

4.V For Vendetta. (The movie with the richest dialogues I`ve seen)
