*Scratches head*

I'm very confuzzled. This morning I was at level 3 with 79%. Apart from checking the forums a couple of times today i've done nothing apart from look after my daughter (who's home from school ill) and fall asleep with her on the sofa I'm now at level 4 with 31%!!!! How does this work? If anyone knows and can stop my brain from overheating trying to work it out i'd be very grateful

My Favourite Things

I'm not sure of the drill on this one ... so i'm doing it my way

I'm slowly working my way through all the genres to pick the shows i've loved and watched over the last coughthirtysixcough years ..... some I've sighed and said "Awww I loved that one", some I've exclaimed loudly "Oh my god, that was a brilliant show!" and some I've sat and wistfully said "Wish they'd bring that one back."

It's amazing looking at my list so far to see just how many made an impression of my life, some good - some not so much .... but thank you tv.com for providing me with a wonderful trip down memory lane.

Totally Broken Hearted

This isn't a rant - please let me make that clear from the start.

This is just me, Emma Martin a 36 year old mother of two beautiful children trying to make sense and bring some comprehension into the last twelve hours of my life.

I picked up my daughter from preschool at lunchtime and settled down to watch CSI: Crime Scene Investigaion's episode seven of it's eigth season. I knew it was coming - everyone that loves CSI knew it was coming. Jorja Fox had decided to leave the show, so her character Sara Sidle was written out. It's now roughly eight hours since I watched the episode and i'm still bursting into tears at regular intervals for no reason at all.

The show's writers, producers and creators have been nicknamed TPTB (The Powers That Be) and they are more than aware that CSI fans expect certain things from the show. Quite Franky, they didn't deliver. If you don't watch CSI and you're reading this, then you have absolutely NO idea what i'm talking about. If you do watch however, you know exactly what i'm talking about. "The Kiss" we were promised couldn't have been any more heartbreaking if they'd tried. Yes, Jorja and Sara were given a fantastic send off (which millions of people are hoping is only a tempory one) but my own personal opinion is that Jorja/Sara's departure could have been handled a lot differently and alot better.

I doubt very much that I will watch CSI again - last night's episode has left me totally disullousioned not only with the show but with TPTB. If they rated the people that every week take an hour out of their lives to watch the show, they would have given us a different ending to a relationship that took along time to get off the ground..... They wouldn't have raised all our hopes of a happy ending with the episode a few weeks ago that contained a beautifully written marriage proposal and acceptance .... and they wouldn't have balked at giving Jorja Fox the raise she so clearly deserves. (I'm really hoping last night's episode wins a case load of awards to show them just how bloody stupid they've been to let her go). Jorja Fox is an amazing actress that deserves far more kudos than she's ever received. My other hope is that the ratings will fall off enough for TPTB to realise just how much they've shot themselves in the foot by letting Jorja leave.

The last scene of last night's show involved a letter which was voiced over by Jorja. It was a letter that left me sobbing into a tissue - but make no mistake .... while it was brilliant penned by whoever, it was Jorja's personal interpretation of it that has broken so many hearts. (Quick update: have just found out it was Jorja herself who penned it, which explains why it was so hearteflt.)

TPTB of CSI: Crime Scene Investigation: Take note ... Go to some forums, read some posts ... you'll see for yourself just how many people you've upset, how many hearts you've broken and how angry some people are at how you handled all of this.

Feeling Kinda Funny

Tonight's the night

It's been no secret that Jorja Fox is to leave CSI after her contract talks broke down. And if Jorja has to go, then so too does her character Sara Sidle.

Sara has been a part of CSI from the second episode and her relationship with supervisor Gil Grissom has kept GSR fans on the edge of their seats for years. A few weeks ago we all gave a scream of delight as (in typcial Grissom fashion) the words "Y'know maybe we should get married" were spoken and "Yes, lets do it" were given in reply. But, tonight, Sara leaves not only Las Vegas but Grissom and it promises to be a tearjerker. There's so many rumours doing the rounds but from what is known Sara suffers a meltdown after coming face to face once more with the only person that's ever got under her skin (well, apart from Grissom). Hannah, an old face that CSI fans will recognise from season six returns and causes Sara to re-evaluate her life, with the outcome of Sara leaving Grissom a letter and a kiss goodbye in front of the rest of the lab.

The promos and reviews alone have caused me to shed more tears in a week than I ever have at a T.V. show, and although it will break my heart to watch it, it's going to instantly go down in CSI history as a classic episode. All that remains for me to say is please hurry back Jorja, you and Sara will be missed and CSI won't be the same without you

Grissom/Sidle Romance

Hi everyone

Just thought i ought to blog about one of my favourite shows on telly - CSI:Crime Scene Investigation.

I'm quite blind and quite thick really so the whole GSR thing pretty much went under my nose without me realising it - apart from the obvious times ("since when were you interested in beauty? Since I met you") springing to the front of my mind - so at the end of season six when it was made obvious (even to thickets like me) I got down all my dvd season sets from the shelf and watched them from the beginning again (and then it was like Duh! how did I miss that????).

I feel for Jorja Fox - whatever the final reason for her leaving is, it's her own. It's still sad when a character you like and enjoy watching is gone from your screen but hey ho, deal with it. I am SOOOOO excited that the proposal happened last night and even more excited she said yes - hopefully there will be a happy ending for Grissom and Sara and that the door will be left open for Jorja to return.

Set in New York it ran from 1994 until 2004. It was a feel good show that never failed to raise a laugh - even on the blackest day. With never fail one liners and situations to blast away the gloomiest mood, it was centered around six friends who managed to squeeze in work around trips to the sacred "central perk" (brilliant ploy on central park).

The show spanned ten years of fun and laughter, tears and tragedy and believe it or not suspense with the end of season cliffhangers. It also spawned a new wave of "it" words and phrases including "could I BE wearing any more clothes" and of course the imfamous "we were on a break". The show's finale wrapped things up beautifully that even four years after its original showing, still has the ability to reduce me to tears. It's sorely missed by countless people and will always stay in people's hearts and minds

It was the episode that all GSR fans had been waiting eight long years for!!! I have to log it as one of my favourite CSI episodes from any season. The investigation was an absolute classic - a throw back to seasons one and two that certainly caused some head scratching as to who, what, how, why and when.

High praise to all actors and actresses for this episode, it was certainly worth the wait and all the hype.

Not to take anything away from any other character or the investigation but I certainly made a point of watching it to see the proposal. It had been a long time coming and it was done sublimely. Not to mushy - because that wouldn't have been in keeping with Grissom and Sara. It was sweet in the geeky way we've come to recognise and carry with affection.

A fantastic episode that deserves high praise to all of the writers, producers, actors and the director.
